I guess only a person can plead to God for this demon to come out, and which that is an exorcism.
That is true,even when people disappointed Jesus or put Him down,and persecuted Him,He still did not call them names,and while on the cross said forgive them Father.
The Bible says that when Michael the archangel was disputing with the devil over the body of Moses he did not bring against him a railing accusation but said the Lord rebuke you.
We are not to call people names if they do not follow the Lord or if they are wrong in an interpretation,and we have to remember we were sinners once without the Lord so I suppose if we call people an idiot we have to call our own self an idiot.

There is no question that I am an idiot. Not in a self loathing kind of way but in a biblical saved by the grace of God kind of way.
It seems when you examine how Paul uses the word fool, and whats written in the places of proverbs concerning the same Paul seems to move along those lines in his speaking according to what is written concerning the same. If you observe how he words things accordingly.
This is sorta neat because it says, answer a fool, and answer not a fool, so two ways to go concerning a fool. Although in each, it looks like he is doing them a favor in each place when he decides to (which is why he appears so wordy around doing the same). As he acknowledes (in some way) his own folly and receiving him as a fool and I believe he does this for their benefit. Because he feels it will help them out in so doing it.
"Answer" a fool according to his folly,
Lest he be wise "in his own conceit".
Why?
"Seest thou" a man wise in "his own conceit"?
Yes.
There is "more hope of" a fool than "of him".
Paul says,
Let no man "deceive himself".
If any man among you "seemeth to" be wise in this world,
Let him "become" a fool,
That "he may" be wise.
So, Paul was showing he understood the same,
As there is "more hope of" a fool than "of him".
"Answer not" a fool according to his folly,
"Lest thou" also be like unto him.
Paul says,
(I speak "as" a fool)
Would to God ye could bear "with me" a little in "my folly"
And indeed bear "with me"
For ye "suffer fools" gladly,
"Seeing ye" yourselves "are wise"
In "the mouth of" the foolish is a rod of pride:
But the lips of the wise shall "preserve them".

Sometimes it can be really rewarding to just sit and observe not to find fault but ask why, and justcompare things and see where they end up, its such a blessing sometimes, and on this one I was like, wow, thats so cool, I would wonder why he went on like he did, or why he might have over explained himself. But that was really helpful to me.

That and if raca instead of idiot was used that would be a direct contradiction of Jesus' own words.

I think something may have been lost in translation here, I have a translation of Hebrew version of Matt, it may shed some light, but I misplaced it...... I have to find it. From my personal thought, I think these words have to do with intent from ones heart.... JMO.

I agree. I've called friends names in a loving way. I struggle with sarcasm at times but it's my personal opinion that God gave us a sense of humor for a reason. It is all intertwined with our emotions and relationship. I think our emotions and humor is one thing the Angels don't grasp.

An older relative had a toothache...sent daughter into store and told he to get some Imbesol . Counter worker was really confused that she was asking where the imbesol was. Finally she figured out she was looking for Ambesol not an Imbesol. Sorry but this thread just brought that to mind LOL.

i was listening to a sermon yesterday and the preacher got sidetracked a little talking about profanity -- he told a story about a kid whose dad had sent him to the store to get two boxes of "damn shingles" -- which confused the store owner, who said they only carried "plain" and "galvanized"
Im not giving myself a pass because I know I can say ignorant things, but if we look at how the Messiah dealt with the pharisees, not only did he completely destroy what they taught but most of the time he did it in a way that *seemed* to make them a "joke" just dismantling them! what the children today would call "clowning them" So I think He definitely had a sense of humor...
Ohh man and Yahchanan (John the baptist)... he greeted the pharisees by calling them serpent seed.... not encouraging that, just saying. (he was son of the rightful high priest at the time, before Yahshua came)
