As frustrating as zombie threads are, I have to admit that reading through this thread again really made my morning. And now I really want to cook another one. NOM.

And thanks a lot for the recipe. I'm mildly allergic to milk but I do like cheese. And Blue Bell ice cream. And homemade chocolate pudding. And... well, it's a constant balance between "I want to eat!" and "My body can't stand any more!"
So now I have something else to get the sniffles over. And maybe stomach cramps. But I gotta try this.
One thing though... No Great Value brand stuff for me. For some reason that carton of heavy cream stood out like a beacon in Shour's pic. Great Value never, ever, ever does anything right.

I'm talking about what happens in the last book.
That's also one of two series I would love to see make it to the movies. The other series I would love to see would be the Dragons of Pern by Anne McCaffery. But then who doesn't love dragons.
And as for cheese, keep the blue away from me, like Amy, I have an allergy to mold, not to mention, the stuff leaves an awful bitter taste in my mouth. And not a big fan of cheese cake, so I'll let others have my slice. But you better keep your little paws off of the cheddar. That is all mine.
I left the series after "The Cat who Saw Stars." Mrs. Braun started getting a bit far out there when she implied Koko was a space alien. What happened, did the author kill Polly off?
And yes, I would love to see a Dragonrider movie. ESPECIALLY All the Weyrs of Pern. Moving the red planet away by popping it with the starship engines would be an epic story for a movie, with extra drama from Jaxom trying to figure out a way to get himself in on the third jump. And I'd love to see how they make Hamian's workshop. Not to mention Fandarel's forge. ^.^

No, they didn't kill her off. They just moved her to Paris with a Dear John letter. But that was the end of the series, if I'm right, and he may or may not have found a lawyer as his next love interest. But personally, I think it was the librarian that took Polly's place.
Me, I perfer Menolly and Robinton's harper hall, and of course the obvious Brenden Wher. Also, when they discovered AIVAS. Not that would be awesome.
Yes, All the Weyrs of Pern was where they discovered AIVAS. And the Harper series would be a good movie - the first and second ones at least. The third one will always be better as a book. I'd love to see Dragonsong as a movie though. "Then my feet took off / And my legs went too / So my body was obliged to follow / Me with my hands and my mouth full of cress / And my throat too dry to swallow!"
I think the series went downhill fast when Anne's son took over though. He started getting about as far out there as Braun did. Watchweyrs that imprinted, or "impressed" on keepers was NOT in harmony with Anne McCaffrey's first stories. Even in Dragonflight, the watchweyr didn't imprint on Lessa - it was her friend because she was telepathic and could talk to it. Don't get me started on the watchweyr queen that had to taste the keeper's blood...

She replied, "Thank you dear. That's the nicest thing you've ever said about me." And coming from Qwill, it was.
