does the law help us to deny the above as stated ?

No.. what the law did was bring us to Christ and His Love...it is the strength of sin....Now can we see Christ and His work in the law...yes! But to be under the law is to be under the power of sin. So we can see the fulfillment of the law in love...but we don't preach the law we preach the grace and love of Christ that empowers us to true righteousness.

is to be under grace is the power of mercy to be under the law is power of wrath ?

Does this verse cover what you said ?
Proverbs 10:12
Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.

Well that's part of the truth...we know mercy because we have been given mercy...and we know the price of mercy because we see the judgment of the law against sin...and we see the price Christ paid to set us free from this judgment.

No you fail to see that love is the fulfillment of all the law demanded...and that commandment is not of Moses but of Christ Who has first loved us and showed us love through His grace.

Now your going back to that only one commandment thing.
This shows that you still do not get the truth, as the Lord makes it clear that everything He said is a command. As He says a believer in Him will keep and do all that He said. Nowhere in the bible does it say you only have to follow half, part, or none of what was said in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. But these false teachings are running so rampant now days, telling people no need for repentance, do not need to get baptized, do not need to confess, do not need to forgive others. They have watered it down to a mere believe gospel that does not save, as they teach others hear but you don't have to do. Then it wasn't tell I got on here and heard this nonsense from only about 3 of you that the 10 Commandments don't have to be followed and kept.

Luke 6:46

And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Matthew 7:21

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

I think that James uses that verse and its shows us that Gods intention even from the beginning was that we would know His love and love others...God is love and all His laws represent that love.

Yes as its written all the law is fulfilled in one word...love and Christ taught us love as He loves us. That's His Commandment

You really are just confused

Proverbs 28:13
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

[h=1]Proverbs 28:9King James Version (KJV)[/h]9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

Love is not the only thing He commanded !!!

Repentance, Baptism, Confession, Forgiveness, keeping all the Commandments, helping others in need, any of these ring a bell. They were all commanded by the Lord for believers to do...............

What part of love does not more than do all these things?

I know walking in love will do all of those.
My point was that love was not the only thing He commanded like you keep trying to say.
Everything I listed above in post #2469 Lord Jesus says a one point on all of them that if they are not done in your life, then you will not inherit the kingdom of heaven. Meaning no eternal life !!!

The wicked love the wicked? No God loves sinners and we was all sinners until He found and washed us and made us clean.
[h=1]Psalm 10 King James Version (KJV)[/h]10 Why standest thou afar off, O Lord? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?
2 The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.
3 For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the Lord abhorreth

No you are just in rebellion against the gospel...

Ro 4:4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

Psalm 10 King James Version (KJV)

Ga 3:2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Well you are trying to reject the simplicity that in Christ and make it complex!

2Co 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
