What Paul said implies effort. What you say implies that all you have to do is be on the track, you don't have to run, you don't have to be active, you don't have to try, you can do nothing and still win the prize.
Judas was one of Christ's apostles, and he lost his salvation. Jesus said it would be better for him if he had never even been born.
You CAN choose to leave God. You CAN fall away. It is possible, and it does happen. (Hebrews 6:6).
Only those who remain faithful till the end will be saved. (Matthew 10:22)

Those that believe one can lose salvation ultimately are placing it in the hands of men ...and of course in those hands it will be lost.
Those that believe one cannot lose salvation believe that it belongs in the hands of God...and of course in those Hands it is secure.
Or in other words if the question is 'can I lose MY salvation?', the answer would be 'yes'.

Say now I put my salvation in the hand of God.
Tomorrow, I change my mind, and I put my life in my calculation.
For example.
Today, I say to myself to follow God way, mean love not stealing not cheating.
Tomorrow I am brook and have no money to eat.
Than I decide to steal instead of keep God way, i trust my own calculation.

When I see a thread with a title like this I think of the dozens of people on these kind of forums that have no greater pleasure in life than to "unsave" someone who is not sure about salvation.... Don't listen to anyone that says your not saved by your faith and that as you received Christ Jesus...so walk ye in Him.

Can you lose your salvation? No.Nothing can separate you from God.Can you walk away from a free gift? Yes. You can walk away from salvation.But that is a choice you make.If you continue in sin.
Did you just "tackle"/downgrade, the Messiah's words with Paul's words, by implying the Messiah is teaching justified by works?

Continuing in sin or standing on our own strength and understanding, anything that is not HIS NARROW PATH.
Matt 7:13-14, "Enter in through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who go that way. Because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way which leads to life, and few there are who find it."
Only you, yourself or me, myself can separate us from God but we do have that choice.
There is no indication that they lost salvation, only that God took them early. If these two lost salvation over one sin then we all are in deep trouble.

a clear indication of what? A clear indication that you're grasping for proof texts.

Who does the work of saving people, men or God?
Who does the work of keeping these saved people, men or God?
If you think that men do the work of saving people then you must think that men also do the work of keeping them saved. If that is the case then you must think that people can lose their salvation. Because people suck.
But if you have been saved you know it is by the work of God. You also know it is by His Power that we are given anything/everything that is good for us. Once you know all of this, or even half of it, where else would you go? Back to your own work and belief in yourself rather than belief in God? If it were possible.... that means its not possible.
Where the confusion comes in is that our work, and failure, is what brings us to Christ. Some people, apparently, stay in that stage of tutoring and refuse to come out of it. Even attempting to teach saved people that they must stay back as well.
Its by Faith that we are saved. But faith in what? Our works? Or His? The schoolmaster shows us that our works are as dirty rags before God. Really, Really dirty rags. We don't dress ourselves in white. We don't have the capability. We must rely on the Power of Jesus Christ.
Notice who the Lord is talking to when He says depart from me I never knew you. People who think their works caused them to deserve to be before Him. We have only one Hope. Its the same hope the Publican has. Lord, be merciful...

That part you highlighted does not mean that your future sins, or unrighteous deeds are already covered.
It is saying that because you have been cleansed of your past sins, and set apart unto Christ, then if you keep reading what else Paul says. He says only if you continue under His grace will you inherit the kingdom, other wise Christ will become of no effect to you.....as he told the Galatians for their sin;
Galatians 5:4
Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
Future sins that are committed still have to be confessed to receive remission, as the verse you gave in 1 Corinthians 6 is of those who continue to do what is asked of them.
