People preach way too much about what God hates and bestow great negativity on the entire religion of Christianity. I mean really? Who actually has the audacity to judge to hell anyone else on their sin? No one is perfect except for Jesus, remember? I believe people who judge other people to hell (NO MATTER THE SIN) are under great conflict with their walk with Christ. They are failing at their own personal trials and begin to bully others for the sake to make their own sins look less sinful. Either that or they are just caught up with too much religious pride and lost all sense of love and compassion.

Well in today's society, EVERYONE knows what God hates! But I ask you CC, what does God love?

God Bless Everyone!

I'm not familiar with an overt preaching of hate. But what gets me is, the number of people who preach a living God, yet hold His funeral every week.

God loves us all, to answer the question. He may hate the things we do, but He loves us none the less.

I agree with you here as we are to teach others in love, and in a respectful manner.
Not to condemn, be hateful, use unedifying words, name calling, and so on...............

We do out of love for others are to preach the warnings of sins, as God loves when others are brought to repentance.

Here is 10 Main Things that God Loves
1. A cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7. (A good reason to give)
2. The world. John 3:16. (Interesting that so many Christians are trying to escape the planet the Lord loves and wants to transform).
3. Justice. Psalm 11:7, Psalm 37:28. (One of the reasons I’m proud to be a trial lawyer).
4. The righteous. Psalm 146:8 (A good reason to pursue holiness).
5. Christians. I John 4:15-16; John 16:27. (Duh)
6. Non-Christians. I John 4:10-11, Romans 5:8. (Surprised?)
7. Those who love Him. Deuteronomy 7:9. (Who doesn’t love those who love them?)
8. Those who obey His commands. Deuteronomy 7:9 (Another reason to be obedient).
9. Those who pursue godliness. Proverbs 15:9. (See #4).
10. Those who fear Him. Psalm 103:11. (Respect matters)

Whoa that was pretty deep, you got me thinking there! haha. That's good food for thought RickyZ.

Thanks for sharing that Kenneth, i'm definitely going to hold onto that list.

Only God can "judge someone to hell".That being said the Bible tells us to preach repentance and you can't do that if you dont tell people what sin is.People outside the church dont know what sin is,in fact some in the church dont know what sin is.It's not judging to tell people what sin is.

A man named Jerry Bridges wrote a book that has challenged me about my tendency to “sort of” deal with sin. Bridge’s book is entitled The Pursuit Of Holiness. In the book, Bridges discusses 1 John chapter 2 verse 1. In that verse, the Apostle John wrote, “My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin.”

And then Bridges said, “The whole purpose of John’s letter, he says, is that we not sin.”

Then Bridges continues with this:

One day as I was studying this chapter I realized that my personal life’s objective regarding holiness was less than that of John’s. He was saying in effect, “Make it your aim not to sin.” As I thought about this, I realized that deep within my heart my real aim was not to sin very much. I found it very difficult to say, “Yes Lord, from here on I will make it my aim not to sin.”

Then he added this:

Can you imagine a soldier going into battle with the aim of not getting hit very much? The very suggestion is ridiculous. His aim is not to get hit at all! Yet if we have not made a commitment to holiness without exception, we are like a soldier going into battle with the aim of not getting hit very much.

Pretty challenging idea, isn’t it … making it a life objective to not sin at all. That’s a radical idea … but that’s what you do if you hate what God hates.

Fearing God means that we hate what God hates.

LOVING WHAT GOD LOVES

But it also means that we love what God loves.

So, what does God love? [Get their thoughts]

  • God loves Jesus (Matthew 3:17; John 3:35)
  • God loves people who love Jesus (John 16:27)
  • God loves lost people (Romans 5:8; Mark 10:21)

There are lots of things God loves. Let’s go a little deeper into one category.

The book of Proverbs often tells us what God loves when it tells us what God hates. For example:

“A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is His delight.” Proverbs 11:1

“Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord; But those who deal faithfully are His delight.” Proverbs 12:22

“The way of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, But He loves him who pursues righteousness.” Proverbs 15:9

I agree, I just think there are better ways to do it compared to how it's being done right now.

At this very moment I'm just struggling to think of a way where we can all reach out to people where the media and world could see who we really are and not a bunch of bible thumping judging savages that the darker percentage of people makes us out to be. With the very few that mess it up for the masses, how can we change the overall public opinion for the greater good? How can we all unite to show the world our true colors of love and peace and put God and his word back into our society? I know if it's not death, sex, racism, or scandals it doesn't hit the mainstream media, but what could we do as a religion to get everyone on the side of Christ?

Ahh... Maybe i'm just over thinking this and it's too much i'm asking for... haha

Since being on CC, my motivation for Christ went on overdrive and these little things have taken over my heart and mind. haha.

Jeff, you just took it to that next level of awesomeness! Thanks for your post, more doors have been opened in my mind after reading it.

The greatest conflict of is that against those who will follow Him, for forces unseen will join in to attack;

Revelation 12:17, "And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went to make war with those who forsook her seed; her seed being those who keep the Laws of Yahweh, and have the testimony of Yahshua Messiah."

1785. entolé
Definition: an ordinance, injunction, command, law.

Revelation 12:17
New International Version
Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring--those who keep God's commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.

Yet why is it seems the only "hate" that gets traction is the "hate" for those that want to and want others to obey? Ohh wait the Scripture just told me why...

I understand what you are saying and where your heart is but I dont think God can go mainstream.lol By that I mean that if you are a sinner as in you havent asked God into your heart and someone says "hey sin is wrong and will send you to hell" that is offensive to people. The whole message of the Gospel is offense to people until they come to God.Their idea is "no one is going to tell me how to live".Now there are wing-nuts out there that make it worse for Christians for sure but I dont think there is any way to make the Gospel non offensive.Hey the disciples ended up in prison for preaching it.They offended people.I dont think the Gospel was intended to go mainstream.JMO
