Zechariah 10:1-12, especially 6-8, "And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the LORD their God, and will hear them ... I will hiss for them [as the keeper does for his bees], and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase [again] as they have increased [before]."

Isn't this choice of words interesting? God says he will hiss for his people like a beekeeper hisses for his bees, to draw them into the hive. God is hissing for His people now, calling them until the last lost sheep is gathered.

The immediate context for Zechariah is the return from the Babylonian exile. This should be obvious from things like the identification of two messiahs:

Zech4:11 Next I asked the messenger, “What are these two olive trees on the right and the left of the menorah?” 4:12 Before he could reply I asked again, “What are these two extensions of the olive trees, which are emptying out the golden oil through the two golden pipes?” 4:13 He replied, “Don’t you know what these are?” And I said, “No, sir.” 4:14 So he said, “These are the two anointed ones[SUP] [/SUP]who stand by the Lord of the whole earth.”

...which in the context of Zechariah are the High Priest-messiah Joshua and the King/Ruler-messiah Zerubbabel - two names repeated throughout the book.

Interesting,I heard on the news last night that Jews are going back to Israel.The attack in France has frightened many and they expect more Jews to be going back to their homeland.They said this has been the biggest influx of Jews to their homeland since the 60s and because of the attack they expect more. Netanyahu said all Jews are welcome back to Israel.If that isn't a sign of the times I dont know what is.

Bravo to the president for not attending the march in Paris btw.Way to represent there man.Guess there wasnt a golf course close enough.

Our president does not support Israel obviously.

This started out as a great post until that last part to start a bashing on the president.
The march in France had nothing to do with Jews or Israel alone. It was about Muslims standing up hand and hand with Jews saying they do not support those radical Islamic idiots who are doing this terrible acts. Claiming it do be done in the name of the Muslim religion. They held signs saying not in my name, showing no support for their acts.
And oh yes lets just send our president over there among a bunch of Muslims who have stated over and over again they have no love loss for America. Send him to an area where an assassination attempt can easily be done toward him, with very minimal support.

I do not care for Obama that much either, but lets keep your thread respectful toward others please.
As we Christians are suppose to be toward others. Because bad things can be said about Reagan, and the Bushes being caught at a pagan ritual....But I do not want to go there.....

I always thought Yahsua the Messiah Himself or the Malak Zadiq? (Mechizedek?) It been a while since I studied this, I feel silly speaking on it too much to be honest. and among the so called "scholars" there is debate about translation but so interesting IMO.

Amen and look carefully at the full description and the fact that a vowel point has been added by the translators...lead encased fire that is lifted form the earth by a flying roll that has the exact dimensions as a scud missile.......thermonuclear war.......!
