There's freedom of speech and there's also freedom to be idiots. We know how some muslim's react when people ridicule and insult mohammad, yet some continually want to throw stones at the wasps nest.

Attacking a wasp nest is a good parable for this. Don't attack a wasp nest and complain about being stung. One must expect a wasp to sting.

That reminds me of a true story in the literal sense which could also be reckoned a parable.

When I was a little kid there was a wasp nest in the ground in my back yard. All summer long my friends and I did attack the wasp nest. We even reckoned it to be a war against the wasps. The way in which we provoked the wasps was this; we sprayed a hose of water on their nest and when they come out to swarm we smote them with plastic baseball bats. Trully each one of us got stung and none of us could complain. Alas though we the children could not prevail against the wasps. Then one day my mortal dad came home and at night when the wasps were asleep he did pour gasoline down into the hive and burnt it all up.

Hmmm... it's not quite that black and white Didymos. I'm quite strong supporter of free speech, but consider pornography & inciting violence. If you are 100% in favour of free speech, then you will also have no problems with people making pornography public or inciting others to violence.

I don't understand how people can't get that the moment you limit free speech that means that someone has to decide what speech you can say and what you can't Who is this Solomon-like wise person that gets that job?

As to the bear and bee analogies, both of which are identical, comparing animals to human beings is ridiculous. If I physically attack a muslim he has a lawful right to defend himself. If I insult him he does not, and if he reponds with force HE is the one who must lawfully pay the price. TOO DARN BAD if he doesn't like what I say! All day long I deal with statements people make that range from amusement to being infuriated. It is MY responsibility not to physically attack them because i don't like what they say.

This is really basic fundamentals of freedom. Truly scary that so many can't understand that.

So here is another story. A couple of summers ago we had a bad wasp problem.I couldnt even sit out in my swing because they would attack me.We would spray them one by one and they were fierce.We couldnt seem to find the nest.We sprayed one area but they still kept coming around.In the fall we began to take down decorations.We suddenly realized that their nest had been hidden right by our head behind the swing we were sitting in! They thought they were entitled to be there because they had banded together.Now had they went on their way they could have stayed put,but they continued to attack.Instead of moving to a different place not so close to humans they stayed and attacked.Of course they lost their hive and lives in the end. They could have enjoyed the place had they lived in peace.Why did they not live in peace? Because that's not what wasps do.It's not in them to just live in peace.So they attack and are killed.End of story.

Funny enough the wasp nest from when I was a kid was by our swingset too. The first time we became aware of them I was out on my swing set swinging away and saw them swarm. My little sister had left her Highlights magazine out on the swingset. She came to claim her magazine and I told her, "don't come near here there are wasps". My little sister was never good at listening and walked right through the swarm and she did get stung worse than anyone that summer.

This Nation has more power to make war in one submarine than all the muslims nations combined...we restrict ourselves but at some point we will have to see its time to defend our country and our people. May I ask...doesn't Christ limit your "Free" speech? He has called you to perfection, which means not giving in to slander, insults, attacks on character, or words of hate. The Freedom of Speech is not being questioned here, what is being questioned is do we realize that there is a limit to Free Speech? And there is. We are responsible for our words. If I were to come up to you and curse at you and insult you and demean you and you hit me, am I defended by my right to free speech? No. I have taken the consequences of my actions. Did I deserve to be hit? No! Did you have the right to hit me? No! Is anyone surprised? No! Because I hit the limit, the limit of where my speech affected another.

The men who were killed by those Muslims at Charlie Hebdo did not deserve to die. They did not deserve to be killed. Those Muslims had no right to attack those men. They had no right to kill them. But they did it. They did it because they had forgotten that those men were their neighbors. They had forgotten that God was their sovereign. They did it because they worshipped a false deity who dragged them into darkness and whispered hate and lies into their ears. And in a world where Free Speech is heralded, Satan has his say to. There is the limit that God has placed before us.

Now Satan is going to play both sides of this war of his making. He is going to encourage the Muslims to rise, and he's going to encourage the world to insult Islam and make fun of Mohammad and feed into the racism that is rising in Europe again. This will only enrage the Muslims to act again, and encourage the world to respond again. Do you see the cycle? Do you know how you stop it? You walk away from it. You stand up when wrong has been committed by either side.

Does Charlie Hebdo have the right to publish a satirical insulting picture of Mohammad? Yes. Should they publish it? There is the question no one is asking. Because in the modern world we don't like to talk about morality or ethics, but they don't go away. Should they publish it...?

I'm not going to answer that question, because its not my question to answer.

This is the limit of Free Speech...should you sau whatever you are about to say? If the answer is no, then you have hit the limit of this Freedom, this Right.

And Russia has done the same, so you would be looking at the rise of WW3 if we went in on a full invasion of the middle east in a war type standard. If America had justice the vast majority of the stories on this News Section Forum would not exist.
If America were strong it would not be losing this war as badly as it is.
If America were righteous it would not let in islam or any of this secular paganism to begin with. America would not rely on its own vain strength and pride if it were righteous.

As it is America is neither just, strong, nor righteous we cannot rely on America. Therefore we cannot fight for America. Here is real justice; let America fight its own war. It is not justice for pagans to expect Christians to fight their war so that they can continue on in their ways against us.

Islam is nothing compared to Nazis in military strength...in fact if not for England and the USA the Nazis would have overrun the whole mid-east in about a month. Where is this 200 million man army? Israel defeated them all in six days... They have no real power and we could overcome every single muslim army in the world in months if we decided to do it and not play politics. And China and Russia are fighting the muslims as well...now even as we talk they are trying to purge and restrain these nuts.

Of course islam is evil. So is Charlie Hebdo and the secular paganism it represents though. How are people surprised that the forces of evil do fight eachother?
