First let me say I'm a coward.
Im crying just writing this. But I'm addicted to masturbating. I have been for a year. I can't stop. I ask for forgiveness and help, and when I think its over I start again. I can't do this anymore. I really think God might not forgive me again. I feel so bad. I have stolen my own innocence. I'm so ashamed. I feel like if I were to sing (in my Gospel trio) it would be wrong for me too. I am such a failure. Please pray for me.

How are you a coward?
These kinds of problems are much more common than you realize. Both men and women. And while it's true steps should be taken to work on this, beating yourself up is not one of those steps.
And failures are people who give up, not people who struggle, or even face defeat.

I just feel like I'm the one thats been saved so as by fire. The ones that barely make it in. I don't feel like I've done my best. I just want it to be gone.

That makes sense. Have you taken any steps to get past it?
Try this link. I know it seems to focus more on porn (not sure if that's part of it or not) but i believe they help with other sexual addictions besides porn as well. Might be worth checking out... XXXchurch

Draw a line in the sand, turn that guilt into courage and fight the good fight. Stand up to this and say "this far shall you come, and no further!". You have it within you to overcome this and I know you can do it!

God hears our prayers and I'm praying for you.

The mere fact that you realize there is a problem points you in the right direction. Don't let guilt overwhelm you. Jesus died for all our sins even the ones we will be foolish enough to commit in the future.

Besides praying and reading (not very much) no nothing. N I don't watch porn well I did once but that was by accident. And happen like 4-3 years ago. I really want to talk to my mom but I can't . I don't want her to know. I don't want anyone I know to know.

That's often the biggest setback to recovery. People don't want others to know, and by doing so they lack any support or accountability. Both of which are necessary for any addiction.

Yeah I know. I just feel like if I tell her I would be letting her down. There has been a lot of trouble in my family and I don't want to be another burden

Sometimes you have to ask yourself what's the bigger priority. God, and your walk with Him, or you perceiving yourself a just another burden to your family? I understand not wanting to be a burden, but is that really the best decision to make?

Yeah. You're right. I was just hoping that I could fight it on My own. just me and God fighting the fight and winning

I understand. But God usually doesn't want is fighting alone. Iron sharpens iron and all that.
Theres no shame in needing help. Doesn't make you any less of a person or Christian. Just makes you human.
And if God wants it to be just the two of you He'll make that happen. But don't do it to yourself. (=

Thanks. And I know I shouldn't ask but can you give me an uplifting scripture?

Why shouldn't you ask?

Isaiah 41:10 Don't panic. I'm with you. There's no need to fear for I'm your God. I'll give you strength. I'll help you. I'll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you.

Masturbation is only the solution to your problems, it's not the problem itself. You need to deal with the real problems, then the solution will go away.

Telling the person (who you're speaking to, not an addiction) it's a 'solution' indicates to the person that it solves their problems.

Thank you but I think I can handle it from here. Just pray for me to have strength.
