No. You must ALSO love the Lord your God.
Loving others is the 2nd commandment.
All the Law and Prophets hang upon these two commands.

If you love the Lord, you will keep His commandments.

And here is the circle: what are the commandments we must keep?

Love the Lord your God, and love your neighbor as yourself.
I know it, but it doesn't need to be stated. How CAN we know if someone loves the Lord, whom we cannot see? By how he treats his neighbor whom we all CAN see!

What? "how do we love according to what He calls love?"

What are you talking about, how did anything I say bring that about? Im asking HOW do we love as He commanded? Just saying He said love so I love is not explaining what He calls love....

Are you "married" my brother? You define love the same way you would love your spouse, or your child. Even YOURSELF. Do you make mistakes? If so, do you see God not forgiving you? See that in the man you consider even your enemy. It's ok to disagree. Even Paul said that tongues will cease and prophecies will fail. What is important is what we learn, even from our mistakes.

If you were in the midst of a massive heart attack, would you care if the man saving your life is a "Muslim" or any other name we call men?

"If you love me, keep my commandments." His commandments are to love one another as He loved us! Jesus died by loving us while we were still sinners! We MUST do the same.

No I am not married and yes I do make mistakes. He is the judge all I can do is accept the mercy He grants me. And yes learn from His correction.

What is love though, how do we love?

DO I just say, "I love you" and that is? Im perfect?

Not implying you are saying this rather I seriously say, how do we love according to what He calls love?

I know it, but it doesn't need to be stated. How CAN we know if someone loves the Lord, whom we cannot see? By how he treats his neighbor whom we all CAN see!

This is a right principle, for Scripture says the man that does not love his neighbor can not love Yah...

The issue is placing importance on the observable, which only brings us to judge others based on outward things, rather than the heart.

I think Yahshua/Jesus gave great teaching here;

John 7:24, "Stop judging by mere appearances, but instead judge correctly."

Matthew 7:15 “You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?"

Matt 22:36-Matt 22:40 ESV “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

Yeshua came to fulfill the Law not abolish is.He says that in Matthew 5.

Wrong question. Jesus said He came not to abolish the Law, but to fulfill it.

What people don't get is that it is still God's law, it's just that in the Old Testament it was done physically, and in the New Testament it is done spiritually. The physical way was done away with when Christ nailed it to the cross.

There's no question that the entire law (including the 10 commandments) has been abolished.

But if the ministration of death, written [and] engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which [glory] was to be done away: 2 Corinthians 3:7

This is the same Greek word used in Ephesians 2:15

For [Christ] is our peace, who has made both [Jew and gentile] one, destroying the middle wall of the barrier, the enmity, in his flesh; having abolished the law of commandments contained in ordinances; that of the two he should make in himself one new man, so making peace. Ephesians 2:14-15

It's a completely different word than that used in Matthew 5:17

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Matthew 5:17

So the law hasn't been destroyed, but it's authority has been abolished. Now Christ's law is authoritative, and all righteousness required by every jot and tittle of the law of Moses is produced when it is obeyed.

I will give my view here, so you may want to vote or make your statement before or after reading?

I want to point out that the words that are in italics are ADDED:

Ephesians 2:15-16, (NKJV), "having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. "

Not only does the next verse tell us what was abolished, but when you remove the ADDED words the meaning changes.

Ephesians 2:15-16, "Abolishing the enmity Law, the Commandments, and the Ordinances, through His own flesh, in order to create in Himself one new man from the two; making peace, That would reconcile both in one body to Yahweh through the sacrifice--having killed the enmity through Himself."

enmity is:
Thayer's (New Testament Greek-English Lexicon)

Feminine of G2190; hostility; by implication a reason for opposition:—enmity, hatred.

He abolished the hatred of the Law;

Romans 8:5-8, "For those who live according to the flesh, set their minds on the things of the flesh; but those who live according to the Spirit, set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against; (bitterly opposed to), Yahweh; for it his not subject to the Law of Yahweh, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are of the flesh cannot please Yahweh."

The moral laws of God,laws of love, are always in affect, and must be obeyed, which the 10 commandments are laws of love, love God,and love people, which the two greatest laws, are love God,and love people, which love works no ill towards their neighbor;therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Jesus abolished the physical ordinances of Israel, nailing them to His cross, taking them out of the way,for they were contrary to us,that they could not provide a spiritual relationship with God,therefore led no man judge you in those physical ordinances, which includes meats, and sabbath days.

The only thing that remains in the New Testament is to love people, that is the fulfilling of the law.

No one has any capacity to fulfill any "moral laws of love" until they come to Christ and learn to abide in Him. And even then no one fulfills these "moral laws of love" fully, except the Lord Jesus Christ.

All that we can do is reflect what has been freely given to us. We can't give it in the magnitude it was given to us because we don't have that kind of power.

The greatest thing we can do is point to the One who can give this love, this fulfillment of the law. The Lord Jesus Christ.

Every law that could possibly condemn people is what Christ nailed to that Cross. That is how there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Because He carries the heavy weight. We just give the testimony of what He does.

Revelation 12:10-11
[SUP]10 [/SUP]And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

You don't really understand any of this, do you? How salvation is a gift. How you are not able to fulfill any of Gods Laws. Because if you could, salvation wouldn't be a gift. It wouldn't even be called salvation. It would be called merited blessing.

We don't deserve any of it. That is what makes Grace so amazing and wondrous. Its there for the asking. With the leading of the Holy Spirit.

For a minute there I thought you were going to start preaching about Grace.

The law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus.

But then I wondered what exactly you meant by Christs law and obeying it.
