Revelation 9 comes later. Rev 9 where 1/3 of mankind are killed happens at the return of Christ. The world is gathered against Israel, Gog and Magog, the Russians and Muslims. It is here that blood will come up to horse's bridles.
Notice that the 200 million strong army come from the east? The map above could have been drawn better.

Of course, I agree with you. The Papacy/the Vatican or "the beast" upon which the "woman" will eventually sit does have plenty of Satanic power by which she deceives Christians, though...but that's another discussion for another day.

The deception of Christians comes immediately when the Man of Sin comes upon the scene. They think he is Christ coming to take them to heaven in the Rapture. This notion which most of the Christian world believes Paul warns us about. Paul tells us that the Man of Sin uses unrighteous deception.

John 6:35
And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.
Those deceived did not listen to their savior regarding the timing of His return. They hunger and thirst because they go to the wrong "Christ." They allowed Satan to deceive them. Satan is coming to deceive Christians. Satan doesn't need to come to deceive Muslims as that mission has been accomplished. Satan is a wolf in sheep's clothing seeking whom he can devour. The church has allowed false doctrines to enter. Sadly, most Christians have fallen for the lie.
Isaiah (65) speaks of this Satanic deception using the same spiritual symbols in the same exact order as John gives them above, just said a little differently.

I answered your question. Christians are not fooled into believing ISLAM. They are fooled into believing that the Man of Sin (who comes first) is Christ. The Christian world is faked out thinking the Man of Sin has come to "Rapture" them away when he has really come to slaughter them and remove them from the earth.
ISLAM as it is today is totally wiped out. The Man of Sin comes claiming to be above ALL CALLED GOD including Allah.

Hold on a min...some are claiming that its Islam that is the harlot ...and that some how Islam is the source of the deception...even if a you place a "man of sin" in the context of Islam...they cannot deceive Christians into this ignorant and silly system of religion. Now if your saying Islam is going to yield to some less radical form of religion? I don't see that happening either! So exactly how do you think Islam is going to change into a system that can deceive Christians through this man of sin?

Sorry, but I have goggled it to in my studies, and the majority of biblical prophecy teachers either place New York/United States, Rome, or Saudi Arabia/Mecca as who they believe Babylon is going to be. The few that have come out here lately trying to pass that around was the one's like I said before that teach that false replacement theology, and if they teach a false replacement theology I don't take their interpretation of prophecy literal either.

Watch the video that has been given a bunch of times now that shows how Saudi Arabia with its capital city Mecca fits all the descriptions of Babylon. And I never said it will take over the world as I said the antichrist destroy's her, as the bible says in Revelation 17:16. In order for Islam to be wiped out so that antichrist's false one world religion can reign with the pope as the false prophet leader. Saudi Arabia is the main home of the started Muslim harlotry that has bread a bunch of different terrorist groups including ISIS, and they have killed over the past years more Jews and Christians then anybody else.

Those who say that the gentiles have replaced the Jews as God's people, when we were only grafted in. And the Jews when they finally return to believe in Jesus as their Messiah as the bible says they will do will be saved as well.
