"The conclusion i got from this thread is that i can kill myself and still go to heaven. So whats the point in living? I might as well kill myself. Why wait for our award when we can get it now? :) Sounds like a great idea!"

i have thought this myself many times, but the fact is, we are on this earth because God has a plan for each of us and the point of living, is to grow in him, experience the earthly blessings, and become more like him

If you truly accepted Christ and became a new creature you wouldn't kill millions of people. Suicide is totally different. You will live a good life because of the holy spirit, but suicide just like other sins is forgivable. So if I get depressed and do it, but still a Christian I'll go to heaven. I'm not exactly sure about the judgment day for Christians I remember my pastor talking about it; i will ask him sunday and get back with you about that. I did answer your question I said "how am I supposed to know who goes to heaven or not"

That's the thing though. Who are you to judge if that person really is a christian or not, you have no idea, only God knows. So Hitler could have easily asked God into his heart when he was young. Does that mean he is sitting in heaven? That is not true either about living a good life because of the Holy Spirit. We are given free will. It is our choice to live good or not, yes God will give us strength to live good, but we still have to make that choice. So the holy spirit doesn't make you livfe a good life. You can't say whether that person was truly savfed or not which is why I believe that you can lose your salvation. You have been saying that how are you supposed to know if someone went to heaven or hell. Well how are you supposed to know if someone was truly saved or not. So you can't just say that someone who has killed millions of people must truly not have been saved, because they could have been. But truth is they have obviously strayed. You are just promoting a license to sin by saying that if you accept Christ as your saviour you will be in heaven.

When did i ever say if a person is a Christian or not? Yes, he could of and he could be. Yes, it is true because you know a tree by its fruit. If someone claims to be a Christian but does everythign they did before I'd wonder if they truly got saved. He doesn't make you, but he gives you the desire to. Yes, they could be saved. I am not promoting a license to sin. ARE YOU JOKING ME: "if you accept Christ as your savior you will be in heaven., that is Bible: because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

You were saying that they obviusly weren't saved than. I was saying that just by accepting him as your saviour at 8 doesn't mean that you will be in heaven. We are required to live a "good" life. I am saying with your theory you could accept Christ at 8 live good for a little bit than kill millions of people. How are you going to end up in heaven? By promoting this you are promoting a license to sin though. As long as we say a little pray we end up in heaven?

Okay, I stand corrected. Accept: to come to believe something is truth. In the Bible to accept means to believe in your heart. so just saying the prayer doesn't call it. How am I going to end up in heaven? please explain this question. We are not required to live a good life. Think about the theif next to Christ.

I understand exactly where you are coming from with the thief, but there is more than one verse that talks about us living the christian life and how it is going to be worth it but heaven will be well worth it. Paul mentions this plenty. Jesus also told his disciples to follow him, and to teach others his ways. Well this is kinda telling us to live a "good" life.

It is telling us we should not that we have to to get into heaven.

I understand that you are firm on this believe. There is no point in going any further in this argument. We have both stated out points, and we re both still convinced that we are right. Going any further would just make us look foolish.

YUP! but if your a christian, you wont go mass killing lol. the Holy Spirit is most likely gonna stop ya. and if it doesnt and if your names in the book of life, and God has no eraser, your going to come to repentance later

I believe you can if you repent. But, I'd be careful with that, lol. Who says you are going to have time to repent. And your repent better be a real one and not some made up one.
