Ever notice how there are some people that proclaim their great love for Christ but they won't do what He says to do?

I first noticed that in myself years ago when I read HIS WORDS, that I was claiming Him my Ruler but I was not behaving as He was my Ruler, when I realized that I prayed for Him to change me.

Thank be to Yah, He did, it is an ongoing process, but Im gladly and joyfully on the path, Yah willing this will continue.

sheep follows Shepherd...

The more we walk in love and the life of the Spirit; the more we truly understand what it means that the law is spiritual. The more we love the more we understand the law written upon our hearts. The more we understand the obedience from the heart the more we understand that we obey God because of love and not from fear of judgment . This is the Kingdom of God; not in legalism but in love.
Again the those who claim to love Gods law and yet do not teach love...prove they really don't love Gods law. All that the law commanded is fulfilled in love...so the good we see in the law is fulfilled in the commandment of Christ to love. We have been delivered from the judgment and condemnation of the law so that through love we might serve God and one another.

What part of the word fulfilled doesn't mean done away is confusing you?

It is done away...as the written code ...its fulfilled in the Spirit.

Ro 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
7 ¶ What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

Look if you guys would just listen for a while I could help you figure out the difference between the "letter" and the "spirit" and you could learn to keep Gods law. But you guys wont listen to anyone who has more understanding than you! why? Is it pride?

"The strength of sin is the law"....strength here is that same word you guys are discussing ...the word for power!

So, if it is done away, why did Christ say this?

Mat 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

Explain to me why Paul is saying "Thou shalt not covet." means that Commandment is done away.

"The strength of sin is the law"....strength here is that same word you guys are discussing ...the word for power!

can we say twisting Scripture?

Romans 7:

12 Therefore the Law is holy, and the commandments are holy, and just, and righteous.

13 Did that which is righteous, then, become death to me? By no means! But in order that sin might be recognized as sin, it produced death in me through that which was righteous, so that through the commandments, sin might become utterly sinful.

14 For we know that the Law is spiritual; but I was carnal, sold into the power of sin.

16 And if I did what I did not want to do, I agreed that the Law is righteous.

1 Yahchanan (John) 3:4, "Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the Law: for sin is the transgression of the Law."

Isayah 5:20, "Woe to those who call evil righteous, and righteous evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"

2 peter 3:15-17, "And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures. You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability."

Mattithyah 24:12, "And because iniquity will abound, the love of the many will grow cold."

"iniquity" is:#0458 anomia {an-om-ee'-ah} from G0459

Greek Word Study (Transliteration-Pronunciation Etymology & Grammar)
1) the condition of without law
1a) because ignorant of it
1b) because of violating it
2) contempt and violation of law, iniquity, wickedness

Why will love gorw cold? because of Lawlessness? So we talking traffic tickets here? or the ignoring of the Creator's Law?

1 John 5:2-3 (ESV), By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome. "

Explain to me why Paul is saying "Thou shalt not covet." means that Commandment is done away.

Because right before that he said you are delivered from the law...what part of that are you not able to grasp?

and again you seem unable to see the difference between the "letter" and the "spirit"?

Ro 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

The Pharisees taught legalism. Jesus taught love. We know the only way to fulfill what the law demanded is by love in the Spirit. So why are so many teaching legalism and not love? Do they "really" love Gods law? Why not teach how to keep it instead of how to break it through legalism?

do you understand the teaching Paul grew up in?

do you know what the "LETTER" is?

do you know that they took this:

Deuteronomy 30:11-13, "For this Law which I command you this day is not hidden from you, nor is it beyond your reach. It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask; Who will ascend up into heaven for us, and bring it to us, so that we may hear it and then do it? Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask; Who will cross the sea, and bring it to us, so that we may hear it and then do it?"

"It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask; Who will ascend up into heaven for us"

After Midrashic interpretation is applied, they come out with : "‘It is not in heaven.’4 What did he mean by this? — Said R. Jeremiah: That the Torah had already been given at Mount Sinai; we pay no attention to a Heavenly Voice" (Baba Metzia 59b)

SO they take the "LETTER":

"It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask; Who will ascend up into heaven for us"

and say it is written: "It is not up in heaven" so they pay no attention to a heavenly voice?

oh no you say reading the word in the Spirit is the letter huh?

nope but people having no clue of what Paul is talking about build whole doctrines off one verse....

EXACTLY WHAT IS SPOKEN OF HERE:

2 peter 3:15-17, "And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. Why do people teach Lawlessness under the guise of grace?

Yahdah 1:4, "For there are certain men who have secretly crept in, who were before of old ordained for this condemnation, unholy men, who turn the undeserved pardon of our One Supreme Savior Yahweh into licentiousness, and deny Yahshua our Messiah."

Romans 3:28, "For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the Law."

Romans 3:31, "Are we then doing away with the Law through the faith? By no means! Rather, we establish the Law!"

Romans 6:1-2, "What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?"

Matt 5:18, "For truly I say to you; Unless heaven and earth passes away, one yodh--the smallest of the letters--will in no way pass from the Law, until all things are perfected."

Revelation 21:1-2, "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no more sea. And I, Yahchanan, saw the holy city, Yahweh Shammah, coming down from Yahweh out of heaven, prepared as brides adorned for their husbands. And I heard a great voice out of heaven, saying: Behold, the tabernacle of Yahweh is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they will be His people, and Yahweh Himself will be with them, and be their Father.

2 Thess 2:6-12, "For the mystery of iniquity (secret initiation of lawlessness*) is already working, but the One restraining him will continue to restrain him, until he is made to appear in the midst. And then that lawless one will be revealed, whom Yahshua will remove with the breath of His mouth, and make powerless with the appearance of His coming-- Whose coming is according to the energy of Satan, who works with all power, and signs, and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of sin in those who are perishing, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason, Yahweh will send them strong delusion, that they would believe the deception, In order that all those may be judged as not having believed the truth, but as having delighted in sin."

*What is the "mystery of iniquity" ?

Daniyl 7:25, "And he will speak great words against Yahweh, and will wear out the saints of Yahweh, and think to change times and Laws..."

Rom 7:7, What? Can anyone therefore say that the Law is sin? No! By no means! But to the contrary, I did not know sin; transgression of the Law, except through the Law, for I did not know lust, unless the Law had said: Do not covet. 12, Therefore the Law is holy, and the commandments are holy, and just, and righteous.13 Did that which is righteous, then, become death to me? By no means! But in order that sin might be recognized as sin, it produced death in me through that which was righteous, so that through the commandments, sin might become utterly sinful."

1 John 3:4, "Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law."

1 John 1:8-10, "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us."

Jude 1:4, "For there are certain men who have secretly crept in, who were before of old ordained for this condemnation, unholy men, who turn the undeserved pardon of our One Supreme Savior Yahweh into licentiousness, and deny Yahshua our Messiah"

1 Timothy 4:1-2, "Now the Spirit speaks very plainly, that in the latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons Speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their conscience seared as with a hot iron"
2 Timothy 4:3-4, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lusts they will heap to themselves teachers, who will tickle their ears, and they will turn away their ears from the truth, and be turned to fables.”

1 Yahchanan 2:1-2, "My little children, I write these things to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father: Yahshua Messiah, the Righteous; and He is the sacrifice of atonement for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world."

1 Yahchanan 3:4, "Whoever commits sin, transgresses also the Law; for sin is the transgression of the Law."

Just because we have mercy does not mean we throw all Instructions in the Law of Yahweh in the trash.

1 John 2:3-6, "And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of Yah is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him: whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked." (ESV)

Hebrews 10:26-31, "For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. Those who rejected the Law given through Mosheh died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished, who has trampled the Son of Yahweh underfoot, and has counted the blood of the covenant (with which He was sanctified) an unholy thing, and who has insulted the Spirit of mercy? For we know Him Who has said: Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says Yahweh. And again: Yahweh will judge His people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living Father."

2 Peter 3:3-14, "First, you must understand this: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, And saying: Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things have remained just as they were from the beginning o creation. But they deliberately forget this: that long ago the heavens came into existence by the plan of Yahweh, and an earth also out of water and through water, having been set together by the plan of Yahweh. By Yahweh's plan also, the world then existing was flooded with water, and destroyed. By the same plan, the heavens and the earth which now exist are reserved for fire, being kept in store until the day of judgment, for destruction of unrighteous men. But, beloved, do not forget this one thing: that with Yahweh, one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. Yahweh is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of Yahweh will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth, and the works that are in it, will be burned up. Since all these things will then be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and righteousness? You must look for and earnestly long for the day of Yahweh, because of which the heavens will be dissolved in fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat. Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells."

2 Timothy 3, "Know this also: that in the last days perilous times will come. For men will be lovers of themselves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers; without a truce, unforgiving, false accusers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of those who are righteous, Traitors; betrayers, headstrong, arrogant, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of Yahweh, Having a form of holiness, but denying the authority of it--from such turn away! For they are the sort who creep into The Houses of Yahweh, and lead away silly women who are loaded down with sins, captured by various lusts, Always learning, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Iannes, and Iambres opposed Mosheh, so also do these men oppose the truth--men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they will proceed no further; for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was! But from me, you have closely followed the teaching, the conduct, the purpose; intention, the faith, the longsuffering, the love, the patience; perseverance, The persecutions, and the afflictions, which came upon me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra--which persecutions I endured, and out of them all, Yahweh delivered me. Yes, and all who will live righteously, as Yahshua Messiah, will suffer persecution. But evil men and imposters will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in the things which you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from Whom you have learned them; And that from a child you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto salvation, through the faith which is in Yahshua Messiah. All Scripture that is given through inspiration of Yahweh is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of Yahweh may become perfect, thoroughly furnished for every righteous work."

Proverbs 3:5-7, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart and do not lean upon your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Yahweh, and He will direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; reverence Yahweh, by turning entirely away from evil."

Ephesians 6:11-17, "Put on the whole armor of Yahweh, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not only against flesh and blood, but also against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual forces of the evil one in the heavens. Therefore, take up the whole armor of Yahweh, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day; and having overcome all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your waist belted with the truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, And having shod your feet with the preparation of the message of peace; Above all, taking the shield of the faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of Yahweh."

Yep, problem is it flies in the face of this...

1Jn 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
1Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Loving God's Law and obeying it is not legalism, it is love.

Galatians 3: 1-5
O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? 2This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3Are ye so foolish?having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Galatians 5:13-15

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. 14For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 15But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

Galatians 5:22-26
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

I want to point out that the words that are in italics are ADDED:

Ephesians 2:15-16, (NKJV), "having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. "

Not only odes the next verse tell us what was abolished, but when you remove the ADDED words the meaning changes.

Ephesians 2:15-16, "Abolishing the enmity Law, the Commandments, and the Ordinances, through His own flesh, in order to create in Himself one new man from the two; making peace, That would reconcile both in one body to Yahweh through the sacrifice--having killed the enmity through Himself."

enmity is:
Thayer's (New Testament Greek-English Lexicon)

Feminine of G2190; hostility; by implication a reason for opposition:—enmity, hatred.

He abolished the hatred of the Law...

Romans 8:5-8, "For those who live according to the flesh, set their minds on the things of the flesh; but those who live according to the Spirit, set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against; (bitterly opposed to), Yahweh; for it his not subject to the Law of Yahweh, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are of the flesh cannot please Yahweh."

Romans 13:9-10, "For the commandments: You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not bring false testimony, You shall not covet, and all other commandments are summed up in these Laws; namely: You must love your neighbor as yourself. Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the Law."

the mystery of iniquity is certainly here when anyone who says obedience is a right thing brings about "justified by Law" comments.
