Well at least that was June of 2014............and it is ONE...........so, ok............BUT remember, this NEW POLICY of "armed insurgents" has only just been born............

Am I bias against Obama? yes and no............I give him credit where credit is due, but, thankfully, that has not occurred very often in the last 6 years..............And I was exactly the same about "W."

We will have to see how this latest "play on words" plays out I suppose...........but it is surely a mistake to have chosen this path in my opinion.

The preexisting conditions aspect is good, but that has to be paid for.
How does it get paid for?
The mandate.

I mean insurance companies need some way to offset the cost of more unhealthy people to cover.
That gets covered by forcing healthy people to pony up and get coverage.

Yes, and therein lies the quandary............but are there no other alternatives than Mandates? I should think that those expert in such matters could find another way...............will it end up being called a tax increase? Probably..........but, shoot they increase our taxes for completely foolish things every day, at least this one would be worthwhile...........in my opinion.

Like paying for the Infrastructure, money has to come from somewhere.............as does anything our Government does.

Oh, I know, let's do a serious review of ALL our Government spends money on, and determine the most useless or the one we can best live without, and take that money and put to better use.

Department of Education
Paying bribe money to our enemies to make them like us more
Doing away with useless Government projects/Military projects that are obsolete before they are ever completed
IRS
Much of the Dept.l of Interior
Paying Wages to Tsars within an Administration
Cracking down on Waste, Fraud and Abuse within our Federal Social Support Programs
Collecting delinquent tax debts from EVERYONE!
Make it possible to review, rate, and FIRE worthless Civil Service Employees without their benefits

CNN's take on it isn't reality. Scholars using the World Incident Tracking System (WITS) have measured the number of terrorist attacks immediately following a drone strike vs. some time afterward. The reality is, immediately after a drone strike, a terrorist attack is more likely to occur within five days, and less likely after 13 days or more. Therefore, the way Obama is using drones is ineffective, compared to how they were used under the Bush administration.

Bush never announced drone strikes, unless one nailed a big-time al-Qaeda or Taliban leader. He also made nearly three times the drone strikes in a year as Obama has, and he used targeting information gathered from human intelligence -- eyes on the ground. Obama has practically destroyed our human intelligence network in Afghanistan, Pakistan and other countries where terrorist activity is heaviest, by targeting sequester cutbacks in defense and intelligence rather than directing the accross the board as was supposed to required. If he could shoot his drones as accurately as he uses his pen to slash the wrong programs -- or as well as he shoots off his mouth -- we'd have won the war on terror by now.

On one hand people want him attacking the terrorists, but since it's Obama doing it, they can't be for it, so they bring up the issue of civilian deaths. Of course they don't show the same concern for the THOUSANDS killed in Iraq in Bush's war. Which indicates that "concern" over Obama's killing of civilians with drones, is at least intellectually inconsistent, maybe even insincere.

The only idiots who cry and moan over civilian deaths is the leftist anti-American individuals and organizations. Collateral damage is an unavoidable fact of war. Always has been. Always will be. We have made a monumental error in attempting to effect zero civilian casualties in the war on terror. We have made it impossible to prosecute the war in the way the nature of the enemy necessitates.

Professors -- men and women with Masters degrees and Ph.D.'s -- make the most utterly stupid statements in front of undergrads and not only expect the bright shiny faces in front of them to accept it, they'll flunk them out of college if they don't!

I hear it all the time. I am an adjunct professor at a local Catholic school, teaching behavioral psychology. I only have one class a semester, because of my workload and the men's ministry I'm developing for our SBC state association. But I still hear some of this stuff nonetheless.

I passed by a classroom a couple weeks ago and heard the audio to a You.Tube posting from Dr. Ethan Nadelmann, who is an advocate for legalization of marijuana. The tripe he passed off as fact -- and the video was of a lecture at another "institution of higher learning" -- was embarrassing. Not only that, it was lies, half-truths, and nonsense conspiracy-theory garbage the legalization crowd has been repeating for so long, it is accepted as truth. It was all I could do not to walk in, shut off the computer, and set the record straight. But ...

... Not my class. Not my place. But it galls me the instructors at colleges and universities are able to pass off crap as "peer-reviewed research" when not only has it not be reviewed by peers, it is impossible to find "peers" who would review it.

The problem with college students is that they are not educated in a way that gives them a foundation of understanding. Take college course in classical history and chances are you will leave without even a passing knowledge of what happened at the Battle of Zama or the significance of Solon.
