This man of sin in the bible will reside in holy place and holy place according to Jesus.

This is a good point. Scripture really appears to point out either a physical city, of which Jerusalem is really the only alternative, or a spiritual city, which would be apostate christianity. There is no way to press in a pagan "super power" into these scriptures.

One must also remember who it was God called the harlot in the OT. It started at the tower of babel. It spread to Egypt, Canaan, Greece Rome, and was at its height in world dominion in rome in Johns day.
