so you don't obey the commandments?

Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. - exodus 20

where might we find the commandments to go out, attend services, visit people and so on? or is that your own version?
just wondering how you determined what is acceptable to God and what is not since you say "No one has said that the Sabbath should be kept as Israel did"

Oh, I must certainly do obey the Commandments do you?

this may be helpful

8First he said, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them”—though they were offered in accordance with the law. 9Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second. 10And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

11Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, 13and since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool. 14For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

are you saying Christ is repeatedly sacrificed?

Heb 9:12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.

Now, let me ask you, do you repent and ask that Christ's one time, perfect Sacrifice be applied to your sins each time you sin?

If not, you may have a problem here.

Oh, I must certainly do obey the Commandments do you?

but you confessed

"No one has said that the Sabbath should be kept as Israel did"

so i am not certain how you claim to obey The Commandments.
if your statement is correct, there was a change made to the sabbath law at some point?

Actually, it would be more helpful if you read the entire chapter, the subject is...

Heb 10:1 For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect.
Heb 10:2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins.
Heb 10:3 But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year.
Heb 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.
Heb 10:5 Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: "SACRIFICE AND OFFERING YOU DID NOT DESIRE, BUT A BODY YOU HAVE PREPARED FOR ME.
Heb 10:6 IN BURNT OFFERINGS AND SACRIFICES FOR SIN YOU HAD NO PLEASURE.

etc. The subject is animal sacrifices being replaced by the perfect Sacrifice of Christ...

Notice verse 3, the animal sacrifices were a reminder of their sins and the need for a perfect Sacrifice...

Gal 3:23 But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed.
Gal 3:24 Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
Gal 3:25 But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.

if your statement is correct, there was a change made to the sabbath law at some point?

So, do you keep the any of the other Ten Commandments?

Neither does it do away with sacrifice.

we should be more careful with our words. Christ's advocacy (to which he alone has the right due to his perfect life and death - his past sacrifice) is what forgives our sin - he forgives sin. your words suggest his sacrifice is repeated every time someone sins.

i keep them in my mind/heart. but i confess i do not keep them as i ought to. there are many commandments. the new covenant does not do away with God's moral laws.
i do fail. i am not Jesus.

The Sabbath, originally Saturday, is the 4th commandment & will always be...now & forever be observed as a sacred day. He gave this to men, for our well-being. It cant be abolished.

the subject is the mosaic law.

he gave it only to the israelites, as part of the covenant (of which moses was the mediator)

gentiles (all men) were not brought near to him until Jesus came, bringing in the new covenant.

20Now a mediator is not for one party only; whereas God is only one. 21Is the Law then contrary to the promises of God? May it never be! For if a law had been given which was able to impart life, then righteousness would indeed have been based on law. 22But the Scripture has shut up everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

All this contention about the Sabbath demonstrates that men have no rest apart from Christ. Sabbath means rest the fact that Jehovah rested on the seventh day does not mean that the seventh day must be the Sabbath. This discussion always degrades into a battle over legalism. Isaiah 29:13 Jehovah said that this people honor Me with their mouth and serve Me with their lips but had drawn far from Me in their hearts. A rebuke pointed out by Christ in the NT Mat 15:8 and Mark 7:6.

Will we never learn that God is worshipped in Spirit and in truth not in a day of the week? Rhetorical question. Do we really believe that we can curry some special favor with God by imitating the religion of the Jews? What is man that Thou are mindful of him? Apart from grace we are nothing. Only by grace can we stand in the presence of Almighty God. Adopting the trappings of Judaism only corrupts it into idolatry. Don't drag the golden calves of Egypt before Gods holy mountain.

There are societies that have tried working, for example, 10 days and then a day off and it has never worked. We need that one day a week for rest and fun.

The Holy Spirit leads into all truth and would never lead anybody to do something that would go against the law.

Yes, I agree, we should be very careful with our words...

Eph 1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

Col 1:14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

Forgiveness and justification do not come from advocacy, it comes from His shed blood in our stead...

1Jn 2:2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.

Rom 5:9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

but you claimed you obey the commandments, so that means you do not sin.

No, I don't claim that I obey PERFECTLY, that is your statement, not mine...

Rom 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

I claim to strive to obey...

2Ti 2:5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.

Notice how we are to strive? LAWFULLY.

And then go to the throne of grace when I fall short...

Heb 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
Heb 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Heb 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Lam 3:22 It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
Lam 3:23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Psa 130:3 If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
Psa 130:4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

So, you are above obeying the letter of the Law?

How does that work for Commandment #7?

Your wife approve of that does she? I know that God does not.

There are societies that have tried working, for example, 10 days and then a day off and it has never worked. We need that one day a week for rest and fun.

The Holy Spirit leads into all truth and would never lead anybody to do something that would go against the law.

True indeed but the Holy Spirit will not FORCE one to do right...

Rom 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
Rom 7:15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
Rom 7:16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
Rom 7:17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
Rom 7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Rom 7:20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
Rom 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
Rom 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
Rom 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Paul was still fighting his nature twenty some years after conversion.

Really?

Gen 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

The Sabbath was instituted at creation...

Exo 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Notice when God blessed and made holy the Sabbath? The seventh day of creation week. It will be kept in the Millennium and the New Heavens and New Earth...

Isa 66:22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
Isa 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

Carefully note, it does not say Jewish flesh, it says ALL flesh.

In the Millennium, not only the Sabbath but the Feast Days will be kept by Gentiles...

Zec 14:16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
Zec 14:17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
Zec 14:18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
Zec 14:19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

Notice this passage in Isaiah...

Isa 56:1 Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

See the time frame here?

Isa 56:2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
Isa 56:3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
Isa 56:4 For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;
Isa 56:5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
Isa 56:6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;

Know what a stranger is?

H5236

נֵכָר
nêkâr
nay-kawr'
From H5234; foreign, or (concretely) a foreigner, or (abstractly) heathendom: - alien, strange (+ -er).
Total KJV occurrences: 36

A gentile.

Isa 56:7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

Notice that those He brings to His holy mountain are ones who keep the Sabbath?

i keep them in my mind/heart. but i confess i do not keep them as i ought to. there are many commandments. the new covenant does not do away with God's moral laws.
i do fail. i am not Jesus.

How about the sixth Commandment? Can one keep that one in their heart and mind yet kill someone and be guiltless?

Actually, there is one Commandment that is not repeated in the New Testament but I'll bet it is not the one most people think...

Exo 20:7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

This Commandment is not repeated. Yes, the N.T. says not to blaspheme, but blaspheming is different than taking the name of God in vain...

1Ti 1:20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.

G987

βλασφημέω
blasphēmeō
blas-fay-meh'-o
From G989; to vilify; specifically to speak impiously: - (speak) blaspheme (-er, -mously, -my), defame, rail on, revile, speak evil.
Total KJV occurrences: 35

Now, since the third Commandment is not repeated, would anyone dare to think it is acceptable to profane the holy name of God?

the subject is the mosaic law.

Uh, what is termed the Mosaic Law was spoken directly to Moses by Christ in the first person.

People try to reduce the Law of God to that of a man so that it may become something less than the Holy Law of God. That way, it can be disregarded or argued against.
