It was the second time Evans had kept talking over Paul when he was answering one of her questions, so he apparently had had enough.

Naturally, the senator is catching heck from everyone (read: liberals) over "shushing" a woman. Maybe if she had the respect for him she would have had for, say, Elizabeth Warren, he wouldn't have needed to "shush" her.
 
He was not being condescending. Granted, he might have quieted a man in a different way, but that is no reason to get up in arms.

People need to worry about more important things than this or Obama's preference for Dijon mustard or Guinness over most American beer. For the record, Obama is right about both those things.
 
FNC show OUTNUMBERED discussed this...........not surprisingly all the women on the couch were very displeased with Rand. My opinion? Maybe they should discover a modicum of modesty with regards to their wardrobe before taking on such an in depth issue as Shushing someone.........but, now, that's just me...............so.

It seems quite a few of the big name news anchors do this...one thing that fires me up about Bill Orielly ......he continually talks over the people he is questioning.....I had to tell someone a few weeks ago to let me finish as they asked me a question and then started talking over me while I was trying to answer.....rude for sure.....!

You need to try Guinness that hasn't travelled, from Dublin. Then when you're finished the pint, I can find you a nice two bedroom nearby.

It doesn't travel too well.

With the majority of these TV Hosts (O'Reilly a great example) they don't want to HEAR an answer to their questions......they just want to impress the viewers with their great intellect.........sadly, they are their greatest fans..........

Common courtesy is rarely found on those types of shows these days.

I agree for sure.....! Greta does it as well...even Shepherd and Kellie as well.....I have seen them all do it....ask a question and the not let the person finish the answer...seems like they really at the end of the day want to hear their own voices......!
 
Some time ago, and I wish I could remember the guys name.............it's been 2 or 3 years.......anyway, this guy was on O'Reilly and every time he would start to answer a question, O'Reilly would interrupt him............After 3 or 4 times, he simply said:

"If you aren't interested in my opinions, fine! I'll just sit here and listen to you impress me.........or something like that. Not an exact quote..........I loved it. O'Reilly spent the rest of the segment saying how it was his RESPONSIBILITY to keep the interview "on topic" and "moving along." That guy never said another word.

It was must see TV for sure.........I don't think he has ever been back on either.

This isn't too out of the ordinary. Dr. Paul is a very unpopular man in Washington because unlike the rest of the cronies that live in Washington, he didn't allow the political machine in Washington to change him, whereas it seems the majority of politicians that go to Washington with the intent to change it, end up changing they themselves. (does that make sense?)

And MSNBC/CSNBC is agenda news as far as I'm concerned. Or I guess it's just a coincidence that they constantly are pushing headlines that favor the left?

I think I remember that.......The other night Stossel made some remarks on O'Reilly about him never letting people like Ron Paul, Stossel as well as others to state their points.........
 
...because Americans now care more about nonsense than the actual issues. Who cares if he told her to shush so he could answer the question she had asked. How about the ISSUE under discussion. Where is the thread on THAT?
 
Lol why isn't anyone making an issue of her trying to talk over him? I find the shooshing as a gentle way to maintain his right to talk, most of these guys will just try to talk louder.

Watching O'Reilly is like going to the Dentist for me.............sometimes you just have to do it, but you tend to put it off for as long as possible, because the Novocain NEVER really deadens the PAIN!

If a person interrupts you almost right after you begin to answer their question, it usually means they don't really care about what you have to say. It essentially means they're dead set in their views and they don't even want to acknowledge the chance that they might be wrong.

The OP said liberals are giving Rand a hard time for shushing this lady, can someone source this please?

Google the story, and go back to the very first day the story broke.......search CNBC, MSNBC, CNN, NBC and others coverage of the story...........that should give you some food for thought.

Hey, to be fair to us here, I did state that FNC women on their show titled Outnumbered were dissing Rand too.......so it wasn't just Liberals that were referenced here.

I mainly just asked because I'm interested enough to ask for the source, but I don't care enough to go out of my way and search it.
