I twice stated we could do this by properly arming and supporting our Mideast allies and providing modern technologically based air support that would absolutely devastate ISIS -- with commitment from those allies to put their own combat troops to the fight! Instead, you have to go off on a rant that had nothing to do with what I said.
He's more interested in not pissing off Iran, even though the White House secretly admits there is a less than 50/50 chance for a nuke agreement, and Iran is propping up Assad in Syria. Obama is on the verge of making the biggest mistake of his life, and perhaps the biggest mistake in U.S. history by not committing to minimum levels of involvement that would assure the annihilation of ISIS.

Sorry to be so blunt, but I don't know any true combat veteran, particularly of Iraq and/or Afghanistan, who think we're taking the right approach by not doing squat. I know recent vets who do hold that view. They were supply sargeants and clerk-typists. They don't know squat, either.

I didn't say "We need to put boots on the ground" nor did I say, "We need to arm Syrian separatists" anywhere in that post. And newsflash, dude, the separatists are only in Syria because that's the country they're trying to separate from. If that kind of "knowledge" is what you have to offer this conversation, move on. Yes, they did. Right after the U.S. abandoned them and refused -- through Obama -- to commit to a status of forces agreement that would have left advisors there, and supplied weapons and ammunition. So now what do we have? The exact same situation we could have had three years ago with a status of forces agreement! Which would have stopped ISIS in its tracks before it ever got started! Interesting that your "knowledge" didn't bring that to your attention.

His Joint Chiefs have urged him to provide support, financial and hardware, to such an effort, but the very first and only time he committed to it was this week, when he promised Abdullah II a 40% increase in military aid. Wrong. Clinton waged this kind of war in Kosovo. All he did was supply U.S. air power and intel. With the commitment of European troops and the local anti-serbian forces, both official and unofficial, we defeated Milošević and put an end to Serbian atrocities. They weren't nearly the scale of those of ISIS, but with Jordan now willing to go wholeheartedly after ISIS, our air power and intel, ISIS can be eradicated. But our president won't commit.

Doing nothing is not "leading." It is cowering on the other side of the ocean hoping the situation will just go away. How long is he going to wait? Until ISIS beheads a couple dozen people in Times Square? You're as clueless as the idiot in the White House. You both need to just step out of the way and let the big boys take care of business.
