Heres a few verses, just how they are worded, all of them are true

1John 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Shows all have

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

1John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

Howso?

Because sin dwelleth in our members

But in light of the grace we are under, sin shall not have dominion over us

We are "being" born of God.,

Whosoever "is" born God

1John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God

Whereas it also says...

1John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

Peter likewise...

1Peter 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hathsuffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin

And here likewise...

1Peter 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

1John 3:6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not:whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

Contrast these two

1Peter 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hathsuffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin

2Peter 2:14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercisedwith covetous practices; cursed children:

He didnt cherry picked those two though, he just didnt post the verse prior which validated the fact that he (himself) wasnt giving an interpretation, that that was Paul further clarifying who he was speaking of formerly.

He just didnt post the first line, but that one I felt helped InSpiritInTruths point though
It's amazing how many feathers get ruffed over a couple of verses of scripture ain't it? Brings back memories.

I know and it says don't hang with "brothers" (presumably brothers in Christ) who are living a lifestyle of fornicating etc........it's not referring to people who are not born again or don't claim to be. We are to make disciples......staying in a holy huddle doesn't bring people into the fold.

I don't think any of this this proves we are sinless in our body. Our spirit is perfect and righteous but wars against our flesh. Sin still dwells in us and we still will sin. Anyone who says they have completely stopped sinning in their flesh is a liar. This doesn't mean we are held captive by sin or a salve to it any longer and it is in us (by God's grace through His Spirit) that we have the ability to resist, but we cannot do it perfectly every time. Paul addresses this in Romans 7:

5 For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. 16 Now if I do what I do not want, I agree with the law, that it is good. 17 So now it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me. 18 For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me.

No, Paul is not speaking of those in the world no, he is just speaking of those who call themselves brothers

Exactly the point of the body of Christ being a welcoming place for people who are thirsty and in need of Jesus vs a place for the "saints". It's for both and.....

Sorry to interrupt yall. Smiley face.

Ummm....to the OP....dont we just speak to anyone who is gay like they are fellow human beings?
I mean, as far as l know, they arent aliens or speak a certain language that us straight people cannot understand?
They get too much "press"....they are sinners like the rest of us.

They do no special sort of sinning and deserve no special treatment.
The Bible speaks little on it, maybe bacause thats how little God wanted us to focus on it?
Pray for them as you would for someone who enjoys all that is wrong in this world......
......like those who enjoy Justin Biebers music.

P.s. can we pleeease keep on topic? God has really put this on my heart and I wanna understand more!

Thanks! :)
Probably accepting them as they are, not being judgmental and telling them Jesus has a plan for them. he know their hearts.
We are to love, plant seeds and let God water them. Think about how Jesus would talk to them. Come to me and i will give
you rest for your soul. Jesus was a friend to sinners. Let them see the light, love, and passion you have for the things of God. They need to see someone who is real and genuine and can trust.

Paul addresses this in Romans 7:
I dont see the word sinless in scripture, I dont use that word I use only the words in there, theres no reason not to use them it adresses having sin, and saying you are without sin, and I chose those.

Paul says walk in the Spirit and you will not fulfil the lusts of the flesh.

I dont see why sin would have dominion over those under grace, Paul says sin would not, so I believe its possible to cease from sinning.

1John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he isborn of God

Sinneth not here

1John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

Ceasing from sin

1Peter 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin

So now you know the heart of men who quote scripture? LOL This just keeps getting more bazaar. Wow!
You laugh, but how can I not if I believe Through faith that I have the mind of Christ? Let also this mind be in you.

Until then the only truly bazaar part of this is people who admit to being sinners, trying to tell another sinner how to get their lives together.

You can believe what you want, but you don't know the hearts of all men, you have already proven to me you don't know mine. :)

I apologize if I misunderstood you but did you not say the church is for saints and not sinners? Because if you did......I disagree with that. Church is a hospital for the spiritually sick.

Then you disagree with what scriptures say, not me. 1 Corinthians 5:11-12[SUP]11 [/SUP]But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?

I'll stand by the words of God over the feelings of men any day.

People's mixed up Jesus
Jesus of the Old Testiment: Put them to death
Jesus of the New Testiment: vote them pastor and or perform their wedding

The real Jesus is not who western culture serves.

Which Jesus should western culture worship? The OT version or the NT version? (Granted, Jesus isn't in the OT...)

My first two questions are, what are gay people doing in the church, and why are they called brothers and sisters?

1 Corinthians 5:11-12[SUP]11 [/SUP]But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?

The Church is supposed to be a congregation of saints, not sinners.
This Christian Woman Is About to Present a Much More Powerful Approach to Homosexuality Than “Pray the Gay Away”

Yes, you are correct. I did say gay brothers and sisters. :)
