What I underlined is not a biblical statement, as if you continue to sin daily then you are living in disobedience.
You can not have it both ways, as that is the carnal mind that Paul speaks of in Romans 8 that leads to death. We can not give into and walk in the flesh, and walk in the spirit both.
Will we mess up and back slide here and there, yes we will as we are not perfect, but to say we continue to sin daily. As in every single day we continue to sin, and even more then once a day at that is completely unbiblical. This is why the Holy Spirit was sent to us, to help us refrain from sins and letting them control your life. If you continue to do that same sin/s everyday it still controls you and is your master...
So now you are saying that you live without sin.
You can call it messing up and backsliding if you wish but I choose to call it what it is--- SIN
When I say living in continuance sin I am speaking of those who never confess nor ask forgiveness but just live a sinful lifestyle as if nothing is wrong.
I fail---SIN daily, I confess daily, I am forgiven daily

I do not minimize sin, nor does anyone I know that believes in eternal security minimize sin.
No doubt there may be some false teachers that do.
Sin is a very serious matter that destroys fellowship with God and should be avoided.
Any person that claims salvation, but returns to a life of unconfessed sin, does not lose his salvation, He was never saved to begin with.
I don't MAKE MISTAKES at times, I sin daily, I confess daily, and I am forgiven daily.
While you say you do not believe in works for salvation, you do teach that works are necessary to keep salvation.
Really I teach that? Where have I presented anything other than my own personal view on this whole topic, that I VERY CLEARLY labeled as my view and opinion? Where do I teach anything since you seem to know? WOW, I am amazed that an elder such as yourself is just so ready to argue just to argue, and has to make up points for a leg to stand on. I can't sit here and debate imaginary points, so good luck on your walk brother, please don't bother forcing your "teaching" on me anymore, it's a waste of your time, twice my age with half the willingness to understand. Good luck tearing as many people apart as you can, maybe one day they will all realize YOU were right, and they had it all wrong going with Him. You pride is still strong that instead of trying to explain or understand exactly what someone else is really saying, you just tell them what they teach and believe. Again it’s like me saying you are teaching that you can come to Jesus, get saved, then party like it’s 1999, and it’s all good. I know that’s not what you’re saying, and would think you could figure out what I was saying, but clearly you don’t care because I NEVER said anything close to “you do teach that works are necessary to keep salvation”, and was very clear with what I said. You choose to make these problems, just like that last thread. I think you should grow up a little bit before telling us what we believe and teach. “brother”.

BTW Show me and everyone else where I was teaching it takes works to keep salvation, because I can show you were I said the Complete OPPOSITE.

No doubt....they like to twist and tweak it so it fits their theology....My bible teaches me that where sin abounds...grace did MUCH MORE ABOUND.....of course he believes you can sin and then you have a while to repent...like maybe an hour or day...maybe even a week if it is not that grievous of a sin......and then lose your salvation...nail Jesus to the cross again and get re-saved......

Like....Eternal life.....not eternal...eternal life...not eternal...eternal life...not eternal...I am surprised that God didn't leave Jesus on the cross for a few thousand years because every time you lose your salvation you have to nail him to the tree again...over and over and over...putting him to open shame because once was not good enough......

There is a big difference in living in willful sins day in and day out, and that of a person who messes up here or there.
Is it possible for a person to go a whole day, week, or even a month without sinning ? Yes it is !!!
To say it is not is to deny the words of God, and that of the reason the Holy Spirit was sent to us.
You still rather you confess them or not, if you continue to do the same sin everyday without making the attempt to stop committing it. Then the bible states that is not a true repentance, so the bible does not give a free will to sin. And then it does not give repentance or confession as an excuse to continue doing it.

Example: If a person watched porn everyday, then they come to the Lord and say they repent of it and confess it, but then turn around and continue to still watch porn everyday and not give it up. Then their repentance is not a true repentance and no amount of confessing will have that sin covered by the Lord, as it shows no true repentance and they are using confession as an excuse to continue doing it. The Lord know the heart and He can tell if you truly are sorrowful for your sins, and if you are truly wanting to stop walking in them.

No I believe your statement about ALL appointed unto physical death is in error based upon the two scriptures that I cited....your statement was wrong...just admit it...is it that hard for your to do?

Once again you make false statements about me !!!

I have never said what you just said here that a person has awhile to repent.
What I have said that is in the bible is that if one does not continue in the faith, they will not end up with salvation. Paul says this more then once, as a matter of fact I know of 5 times off the top of my head where he states this standard to believers ( Colossians 1:22-23, Romans 11:19-22, 1 Corinthians 9:24-25, 1 Timothy 4:16, 2 Timothy 4:2-8 ).

Each time here Paul is talking to believers and warning them if they do not continue, persist, keep running, and stay steadfast in the faith they will not end up with salvation/eternal life. You can throw these words of God away, or twist them all you want, but they do not change or go away. They are very much valid then, now, and in the future.......

And once again I will give you the Greek words pisteuo and echo, that are applied together. Which means a continuation of faith leading to salvation, which is in our possession as a mental assurance of receiving it by continuing in the faith. We do not have eternal life as a physical possession at this point, we have an assurance of it. The actual physical possession comes at His return, and the gathering together in the air.

Matthew 10:22
And you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

Matthew 7:21
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Lord Jesus says the one's who endure to the end and do the will of God in their life gets eternal life.
Not the flip flopping that people like to do with these scriptures, and put eternal life first then the endurance and will of God in their life second. I believe the Lord's words over mans !!!

Actually, here's your "quote" IN CONTEXT:

"Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?" (Romans 5:20-6:2)

What is it about God forbid that we should continue in sin that you don't understand?

Here's your "putting Him to an open shame" reference IN CONTEXT, too:

Hebrews chapter 6

[1] Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
[2] Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
[3] And this will we do, if God permit.
[4] For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
[5] And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
[6] If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

These people were CHRISTIANS who had "laid the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God and of the doctrine of baptisms and of laying on of hands and of resurrection of the dead and of eternal judgment"...

These people were CHRISTIANS "who were once enlightened"...

These people were CHRISTIANS "who had tasted of the heavenly gift"...

These people were CHRISTIANS "who were made partakers of the Holy Ghost"...

These people were CHRISTIANS "who had tasted the good word of God and the powers of the world to come"...

These people were CHRISTIANS AND IF THEY FELL AWAY, WHICH FALSE TEACHERS LIKE YOU INSIST ISN'T POSSIBLE, THEN IT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE TO RENEW THEM AGAIN UNTO REPENTANCE SEEING HOW THEY WOULD NEED TO CRUCIFY TO THEMSELVES THE SON OF GOD AFRESH AND PUT HIM TO AN OPEN SHAME...

Having suffered through your posts and the posts of several others who are as deceived as you are for quite some time now, I can only conclude that you and they have no concept of salvation whatsoever and what we were actually saved FROM:

SIN!

Your comments cheapen the grace of God and do despite unto the very Spirit of grace, the Holy Spirit, in that you and people just like you insinuate that the Holy Spirit isn't truly capable of giving us the power to not sin. Yes, your comments which I've suffered through blaspheme the very work of the cross in that you regularly insinuate that Christ's atonement wasn't sufficient to undo the very sin that was brought into this world via the first Adam or that we must continue in abounding sin so that Christ's grace might somehow abound as your Bible allegedly teaches you in your warped and twisted (mis-) understanding of the same as you, ironically, accuse others of "tweaking and twisting". Your "grace" is no grace at all, but rather a "DIS-grace"...literally.

Well, just ignore Hebrews chapter 6 as you regularly ignore the rest of the epistle to the Hebrews and about half of the New Testament or all of the warnings given to CHRISTIANS throughout the scriptures. Yea, just say something childish, as is your modus operandi, like "blah, blah, blah" and "HAHAHAHA!" while simultaneously ignoring the very Word of God which is regularly set before your closed eyes.

The doctrine of "once saved, always saved" is not only a HERESY, but a potentially damnable HERESY at that...regardless of what Kenneth says to the contrary. As such, those who embrace and teach the same are HERETICS.

You know which side of the aisle I'm on...

The Lord even states do not worry or focus on physical death in the flesh, as He said the death we need to care about is the second death in the lake of fire. That is what we are live to avoid, and that starts with faith in Him and then following all that He taught.

I have seen you write that you have a certain amount of time to repent...my statement about an hour, day or maybe a week was thrown in to show the fallacy of the belief that once you sin you have a period of time to repent before you can loose something that cannot be lost......!

So...how much time do you have if you sin?....Are there different time limits for particular sins? How can you know how much time you have to repent? Which scriptures do you use to prove this?

First, you cannot understand that passage without including vv. 7, 8. Secondly, learn what parapipto -- transliterated parapipto -- translated "fallen away" actually means.

To rely on my good friend Inigo Montoya: "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

They taught a mere believism gospel that belief only saves, and there is no need to follow and obey what the Lord said which is completely false biblical teaching. There was a big wake up call to the churches in the late 80's through the 90's on this errant teaching.

To say all OSAS believers believe this is a lie, however there are OSAS churches that do still believe and follow this lie that a person can live however they want and keep salvation. To deny that their are is also a lie.
Just like Baptist churches can not all say they believe the same way, as there are some Southern Baptist churches that will not let men come to church unless they are in a suit and tie, and women in a dress. They try and state that you are defiling the temple if you don't come nicely dressed like that. But other Baptist churches teach the true bible stance of come as you are, as we are not to discriminate by outer appearance.

It is amazing that people still think all people of the same denominational belief system all believe the same thing. You do realize that not all Catholics even follow the same principles, as some Catholic priests have even came out and spoken against the pope.

Now as for the other thing you mentioned that I seen on another posting in your blog about the results of our sins. I side with you on the fact that there is consequences for sins as conviction, chastening, diseases, unhealthy lifestyle, and so on.......However I will disagree with you on the physical death part, as we are all appointed to physical death in the flesh from Adams sin, not our own. The death that we are appointed to keep from facing by our faith, which consists of believing in Him and following what He said is the second death; spiritual death in the lake of fire.

If in our faith if we continue to obey and follow Him/His teachings then we will be part of the 1st Resurrection (eternal life), in which the 2nd Resurrection has no power over us (spiritual death).

...said the guy who ran away from me on another thread when I pointed out to him that Paul's epistle to the Romans didn't end with his signature "quote" from Romans chapter 8, but that Paul went on to write to these very same CHRISTIANS:

Romans chapter 11

[18] Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
[19] Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.
[20] Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
[21] For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
[22] Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

You're as willfully ignorant as Dc is.

As far as the epistle to the Hebrews is concerned, it would be my absolute pleasure to go through the entirety of the same, beginning at Hebrews 1:1, with you or anybody else for that matter. In fact, I'm presently petitioning in the "Suggestions" forum for a sub-section to this forum where one on one debates might be held as they are on other forums which I've been a part of in the past. Should my suggestion be approved, then I'll gladly go through the entire epistle to the Hebrews with you or Dc in such a one on one debate and we'll see who's actually in error.

You know which side of the aisle I'm on...[/QUOTE]

Go cut and past the quote that has that context in it...........! Which post was it.....I will go back and see if that context was EVEN MENTIONED when you said what you said....Cut and paste the original statement here and if that Is true I will apologize for missing that context.....!

I have stated to you that, and it is now 6 times I am repeating myself.
The context that I was using is that all men is appointed to die once, was in reference to the truth that all will die in the flesh if the gathering together does not happen in our lifetime. And I have stated that yes the word all is not in that scripture twice before. My context that I have had to repeat to now 6 times is that we will not escape physical death if the gathering together does not happen in our time. By repeating yourself over and over again on the same thing, shows clearly that you are not even actually reading my posts. You are just skimming over them, and picking and choosing what you want to hear. If you do that to my posts, then one can assume you do that to scripture as well.
Which in some of your responses it clearly shows you only want to recognize scriptures that fit your belief system, and cast others away. Which is a common theme with physical salvation first believers, that is not biblical, Greek words definition do not state that, and the early church did not teach it as well.....

You forgot to call me an IDIOT....and you still fail to understand a few things...

Who is the book written to....HEBREW CHRISTIANS who were wanting to go back UNDER THE LAW AND THE OLD WAYS while TRYING to MIX FAITH AND THE WORKS OF THE LAW......You guys take the cake and top awards in the ability to twist, miss context and apply scripture where scripture is not applied.....

Whatever dude.....believe what you will....!

QUOTE=JesusistheChrist;1892778]Actually, here's your "quote" IN CONTEXT:

"Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?" (Romans 5:20-6:2)

What is it about God forbid that we should continue in sin that you don't understand?

What is it about being dead to sin that you don't understand?

Plenty, obviously.

I will add....it is your stance that cheapens the grace of God while rejecting the blood of Christ and the TOTAL ATONEMENT for our sins...You reject JOHN and his use of present tense when it comes to sin, you reject the fact that we have been born of INCORRUPTABLE SEED and to be frank....I will stop there before I say what I really think about you.....Like I said....we will see how far your works get you...I can wait for sure...........!
