What do you all think of this adorable feline?

Personally, I think she's really cute but I hope she is healthy. The video is funny to watch. I do wonder what they are saying though. Anyone speak Japanese? :)

The quality of japanese media reporting - in fact, the quality of japanese broadcasting in general - has gone downhill over the last few years. They go more for sensationalism and entertainment than even american media and they use laugh tracks in the oddest places. It's almost like every channel is desperately trying to grab your attention every single second of the day.

Well, people do the same thing to their children....... Just keep feeding them anything they want. Like they are going to refuse any of it?

That almost makes me cry to see how badly those cats were neglected. Yes, it is neglect to let your animals get to such a weight.

EXACTLY! A cat that eats that much is bored to tears! If cats ever cried...

By nature cats eat when they are hungry. If you keep a cat indoors with nothing to do he gets bored and eats a lot more than normal. A cat that overweight has nothing in life but eating to occupy him.

I agree, and I preface this by saying that I, myself, am vastly overweight. But those are my choices, and while it's still wrong, it just makes me sad when I see animals being overweight, animals that aren't supposed to be fat. A cat, who is supposed to be agile and cunning, smooth and blithe, who cannot even lift his leg to clean himself like normal...it has a hint of humor but is mainly sad to me. Maybe part of why I feel that way is because with humans, it can be psychological or medical related (though for children it can also be care-related) but with pets, it tends to be due to poor care and/or neglect.

I hate to be a kill-joy, as I know you posted that video in good spirits, MollyConnor. I just personally don't find it super funny.

Siberian_Khatru's picture I find hilarious because that's just a gigantic cat, not necessarily fat. I have an almost 20 pound cat who is not fat, he's just...big and muscular.

Aw I'm sorry guys, I didn't mean to make you all upset. That was not my intention when I posted this video. I sincerely thought it was cute and adorable. I wanted to share it will you all.

I thought it was cool what they were doing. It's suggested that the cat is going to lose weight and they are getting her help. Notice at the end she is climbing the stairs. :)

Also, we don't know if she was neglected...maybe the cat has a sickness? Either way I think the owner really loves her cat.

She is really cute, fat, very fat, but cute. She looks like a cuddle bug. If I ever tried to put my cats in a baby carrier on my back they'd slice in me in half.

It wasn't your post that made me upset, actually. Mailmandan's post was what really triggered me. I'm just very sensitive at times.

The main reason I do not have a cat for a pet is that when one has a cat..........the lines between who the owner is and who the pet is become very, very blurred..............Not tongue in cheek..........anyone who has a cat for a pet should understand.
