Wrong, Paul told those who have turned form Christ to the false gospel of being justified by the law that Christ has become of no effect to them and they have fallen from grace. He did not just accursed the false teachers, as he also said those who turned to follow those teachings were not saved under grace either.
wrong.

he said if anyone teach a gospel. with is not a gospel. let THEM be accursed.

nice try though.

newsflash, if your trying to be justified by law, your faith is in self. not christ, and your not saved, and never have been saved, because you never truly repented and had faith in Christ.

Absolutely right! Any garage sale is a similar example. People look in the box marked "Free stuff" but move on. Put a sign on the same box that says, "25 cents each" and the stuff is gone first thing in the morning. People don't want to understand "free" particularly when it comes to our Savior's grace.
ah, God's amazing grace...His unfailing love...His enduring mercy!!

come to the meeting, warrior? :)

the point you do not understand,

is you make continuing in faith a down payment for the thing you claim is a gift. this it is not a gift, it is a reward for not falling out of faith. thus it is earned, not freely given

I do nothing but defend scripture, and all of scripture because it is all His word.
So the fact still remains that there are multiple scriptures in the bible that state if you do not continue in the faith then that one does not receive salvation/eternal life. I do not care what others say about me, but you can not deny scriptures unless you believe those scriptures are false.

no, the scripture does not say this, otherwise it would contradict itself.

if you want a scripture like that, which can not be trusted, then feel free.

your still making salvation a reward, and not a gift no matter how you swing it..it is based on you and what you do, and not on God and what he did. thats all anyone needs to know about your gospel.

You do understand that you just said that THOSE WHO TURN FROM GRACE AND ADD WORKS ARE CURSED BY PAUL right?

They did not add works to His salvation, they turned from His salvation to justification by the law.
When they put themselves under justification by the law, they were no longer under His grace of salvation through the Lord. So they can not add on, but did take themselves out of His grace.

Once again we do not use works to earn salvation !!!

We do them out of love for Him, because a true faith is an active faith, and a faith were a person is still walking in uncleanness everyday is not a true faith either as the bible clearly says this as well.........

Rom 11:5-6
So too at the present time there is a remnant, chosen by grace.
But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.

James 4:5-10
Or do you suppose it is to no purpose that the Scripture says, “He yearns jealously over the spirit that he has made to dwell in us”?

But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.

Heb 4:16
Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

They do say that and you only make them contradict by still not going by the actual context and meaning of the Greek words pisteuo and echo. Which both are continuation words, and have a meaning of assurance and expectation of receiving eternal life.

Just like in John 3:16 the believe here is those who continue to believe (pisteuo).................

Accept and believe the cookie is real. Be grateful for the cookie. Jesus will multiply the cookie in your life so you can share the cookie with others. There is enough cookies for ALL. Jesus is the master baker.

Ken, the meaning of pistis (faith) is to be persuaded.

God the Father draws (drags! lol) us to Christ...He persuades us...He gives faith to believe. :)

it is absolutely the most wonderful thing in the world, the grace of God in Christ.
from beginning to end...Alpha to Omega...Author to Finisher...
it's all God's work of grace! :)

Yes, end stage renal disease due to hypertension and enhanced by ibuprofen. I spent a few months on hemo and another 3-4 years on home dialysis. Received my transplant on 12/21/12.

So let me get this straight are we saying the cookie is Jesus salvation.
If that is the case then look at it this way, if you give somebody a cookie. They don't touch it, eat it, and just leave it sitting on the counter meaning it is useless just sitting there. And then later decide they don't want it can they throw it away? Yes

This is the same as the bible describes as a non-active faith that is not built upon.
If it isn't an active faith then hardships and deception can easily come in and snatch it away because that faith was not fully rooted in Him. It was just a profession but not a true loving faith they had for Him.

No Ken, they do not say that, If they did, then the places where they say eternal life and salvation are a gift of God are in error. Because salvation is not a gift of God, it is earned by continuing in faith, and not failing to keep up that faith, it makes salvation based on self effort. and not the grace of God.

You need to interpret scripture with scripture. Not your idea of what you want scripture to say.

I can not come to you and offer to give you something which will make your life complete. But you can only have it if you have faith in the gift, then after I know you have real faith, and you take it, Tell you that if you ever fail to have faith in that tthing which can make your life complete, I will take it back.

It was never a gift to begin with, it was a down payment for your continued faith (not to mention, one must wonder, did you ever have faith that gift could make your life complete to begin with? because if the thing made your life complete. as I promised you it would. then how could you ever turn and say it did not do what it was supposed to do?

Either the gift failed, your you faith was non existent.

are you telling me Gods gift, he said will make you complete in him, failed??

I suggest you open your eyes....

The false teachers were teaching and the Galatian brethren were falling for....

SAVED by FAITH but completed by WORKS which is EXACTLY WHAT YOU TEACH............!
