You are correct - we are told to put off our former selves, we are told to renew our minds, we are told to quit stealing but work so that we may give to others, we are told to put away anger, malice, etc. No one has denied that - what we are denying is that you have to do these things in order to be saved. All these things are in our WALK and actually really don't have anything to do with our salvation. NOTE: I AM NOT SAYING WE SHOULDN'T DO THESE THINGS. Now if I am going along in my day and I do commit "sin" - you say that if I die at that instant - I am not saved - I say that I am - therein lies the difference. I sin in my flesh not in that spirit, that new creation that God has birthed in me - sin did not TOUCH that. I am righteous, I am justified, I am sanctified, I am an heir of God and a joint heir with Christ, I am a child of God NOT because of what I do but because of my faith in Jesus Christ.

We should not longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk . . . I am no longer a Gentile - I have been born again into the household of God where there is neither Jew nor Greek, bond or free. I am not longer alienated from God but I am reconciled to God through Jesus Christ. And yes we are to imitate Christ and I believe that we all do BUT it is crazy to say that we do NOT fall short!!!! We are not made perfect in the flesh.

O wretched man that I am - who shall deliver me from this body of death? Jesus Christ will at the resurrection!!!! Then we will see him as he is and we will be like him!

That is man's standards, not the bibles.
The bible tells us to call each other out on their wrong doings, in a loving and respectful manner and give them a chance to apologize (repent) of it. And if they refuse you, then refuse to listen to you and others of the church, then it says to hand them over to the authorities. The authorities in this case would be the site administrators by reporting the behavior. Nowhere odes the bible say do not rat a person out, as that is mans theology and not the bibles.

And by love I called you out and gave you a chance to apologize instead you refused and used more hateful, unedifying, and belittle comments. Plus you still did not answer or comment on my question about Matthew 10:22 and Hebrews 10:26-31 on if you still believe they have nothing to do with salvation ?

I don't do it every day.....it is the result of having my neck slightly dislocated twice when I was a kid...the bone my head sits on is a few degrees out of whack and healed that way...arthritis and incoming weather fronts sets it off.......not much I can do except see a chiropractor about once a week for life.........I have thought about trying acupuncture........and I might do that one day, but we will see.....

I never said we do not fall short, or do not ever sin again.....
I never said either of those, but I also do not believe we all sin every single day like a few others believe.
I know for one that I have gone a whole day, and even a couple of days without sinning. This does not make me a liar just because others may disagree, because they are not here and around me 24/7 to make that assumption. Or just because they have not reached that point yet, as the Holy Spirit is still working on them to get them there. People need to realize just because we believe and know that we can go a day or more without sinning, does not mean we are saying we are sinless, perfect, or even more righteous then others. The bible speaks of maturity in the faith, and Paul shows the more mature one gets the more self control they will show by His working in them.

Ignorant statements made by men in haste does not disprove eternal security, nor does it prove the heretical doctrine that one can loose salvation and or the eternal security that is found in the perfect faith of Christ!

Best thing to do Brother, is to let God deal with them. You concentrate on your own journey to God. Otherwise you will end up fighting a losing battle. Pray for them also, lies is the devil's game, it his arena. And those who is caught in his erena, let them seek help from God in there own time. Lies will always remain until the enemy has gone.

On Cc you will get many people complaining about repeated threads. Personally I don't think it's wrong, it just show that we lack true understanding of certain matters. I understand it can be hard sharing a good thread becuase each person is at different levels in the journey, and different levels of understanding, you are wrong they are right attitude. People lack the ability to properly discuss without judgement, or point the finger, or saying you are wrong because they beleive different. You don't see a good discgussion anymore. I understand it will be difficult being on a multi christian Chat/forum site.

So the best thing is just let them beleive what they want, Carry on with your post or thread, and just let people whine and moan and groan, and let God deal with them.

Well you asked me for a passage in the bible that says we are to turn in a brother for sinning against another.
In post 1068 and 1070 I showed you two passages in the bible that say to call him out and if he does not listen to you and then to others of the church. Then they are to be cast away from you, and out of the congregation because they will taint others with their bad behaviors (sins).

Unfortunately that is not what we are called and told to do.
The bible says we are to call others out on their faults, and not let it slide. Then if falls on them to accept what is being said to them and apologize (repent) of their wrong doings to another. The bible nowhere says leave them be, it says we are called to bring them back out of their wrong and sinful state.

No as this is just another of many scriptures that speak that as a member of the Church of our Lord, you are not to continue to walk as your former self walked. We are a new creation born again into Him, and are called to walk as such. If we are not walking in a new nature but still in our old nature, then the bible clearly says those are not truly born again. They may have stated in their mind they believe in the Lord, but their actions show they did not put their full trust in Him.

There in is your fault then, because the Church is not a building.
The Church is the body of believers, we are the true Church. Not some building with a name on it.
You still want to interject man's philosophies into God's word, and no I did not lie as I did not report you right away. I did call you out as well as others were that day, and I even told you I was going to report you before I did it. I did not just run off and tell and you. I called you out and gave you a chance to apologize, which to this day you still have not done personally to me. Instead you keep up with more belittling remarks !!!

And being as we are on a forum that any Christian or somebody wanting to become a Christian comes on here and sees this type of attitude from some saddens me. As this is the reason that some turn back away and don't find the help they need. Because they see the hatred, belittling, and unedifying behavior of some.
