I have...so don't you think you should open your eyes to the truth of biblical salvation.....
It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that BELIEVE......
If thou shalt confess with thy mouth and believe in thy heart (mind) that God has raised him from the dead thou shalt be saved....
I have believed and confessed this before men...MAYBE it is foolish to you because you have not believed and or have not trusted into the saving faith of Christ......!
I agree Romans 10:9 is a scripture, and it does say, "If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thy heart... thou SHALT be saved"
However, to hang one's salvation on a single scripture without considering
all relevant scripture is a fatal error on your part. Paul is
not addressing sinners, but a church of
saved individuals.
Further, Acts 10:1-6 records that Cornelius, the centurion, was a
very religious and devout man; who
feared God, gave
much alms and prayed to God always. Was he saved by "believing?" After doing all of this the angle spoke and told him to send for Peter in Acts 11:14 "Who shall tell thee words, whereby
thou and all thy house shall be saved".
In Acts 26:27-29 we read that King Agrippa
believed. "I know that thou believest..." King Agrippa still remained
unsaved.
I do hope someday you come to
believe, and
obey the gospel, which is the Death, Burial, Resurrection of Jesus Christ, and apply it as per Acts chapter two...
Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
What shall we do?
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Peter could have said to accept Jesus as your personal savior, or simply to "believe", but Peter did not say any of those things which are taken out of context. Instead, Peter fulfilled Matthew 16:18-19...
"And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."
Peter stood strong and told them to obey the Gospel of the Death, Burial, Resurrection...
1. Death - repent
2. Burial - water baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins
3. Resurrection - Holy Ghost
Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
[4] Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
[5] For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
God bless!
