I've never heard of Mac Davis, but I've heard of Miles Davis.

I saw him play once, near the end of his career. He was terrible! I guess all those drugs do that to you. If it wasn't for the back up trumpet player, I would have walked out.

Now Lenny Breau - there is a jazz musician. He was playing in a cheap jazz joint in the 1970's and I walked in by accident. I went back for every single set till he left town. Now THOSE were the days!

Funny thing today is that my wife was on my mind all day.....so I just prayed for her....pretty much the entire day. I feel very blessed and loved by God. I'm so grateful that I don't have to "do" anything to earn His favor except believe in Him and His sacrifice.

Given that there seems to be an honest lack of knowledge here as to who Mac Davis is..........and after rereading the Rules of CC and stating that this is.......for clarification, information only. This particular song was a No. 1 Hit for Mac Davis........He has had several Top-10 hits......I don't believe it contains any inappropriate language, and many of you will recognize it almost immediately. If you want to hear his song "Hard to be Humble" which was in keeping with the subject of this thread you will have to Google it for yourself. It does contain one inappropriate word in the lyrics.
