So basically you're saying unless we want kids don't have sex?

What about married couples who CAN'T have children? What about those who aren't ready to have a baby right away and wish to wait until they are able to provide for one? What about couples who would rather adopt (out of compassion for those in need)?

Are you saying all those people should just not have sex for pleasure?

I've been married 5 years, we don't have children, and we don't have any near-future plans to start a family.

So, should we just stop having sex? Is that what you're saying?

That's ridiculous!
What about the fact that contraceptives can sometimes abort the zygote? And you never addressed Gen. 38:10, which states "What he did was wicked in the LORD's sight."

God made sex for the purpose of creation of NEW LIFE. Have you not read in the bible -> "Man knew his wife and conceived of a son / daughter". Therefore any form of sex not for the purpose of conception of life between man and woman is therefore impure and entirely against God, because God is Life.

-looks at faisal like he is retarded-

nah man... I think god is cool with pleasure based sex. It's an act of unifying a couple should enjoy. God is life and death, the alpha and the omega. Don't try defining him to support your own beleifs, seek to understand him.

He will challange and surprise you.

Anyway about it I am pro-protection, anti-abortion for my own reasons, not because I presume to know my creators every whim. I mean when I find that right girl and we get married we will be using protection because I don't want my chud-ugly kids running around until I am able to give them the life they deserve.

What is retarded? God is the Living, True and Eternal. He is the Before, Present and After. There is no "death" in God, nor was there ever at any point. Darkness and Light cannot co-exist anymore than water and fire.

God didn't make us to have sex for fun. Love isn't for fun.

Futhermore.. If sex for fun is purely physical enjoyment..I want to share a quote from a christian theologist-
We cannot obey both physiology and Spirit, for one absolutely destroys the other, and one or the other must be supreme in the affections. It is impossible to work from two standpoints. If we attempt it, we shall presently "hold to the one, and despise the other."

I'm sorry, I cannot mesh black and white together.. Doesn't work for me. what I mean by "love isn't for fun" is just that.. It's something meant to be sacred and holy, not a quick pleasure. If the sex has nothing to do with life, then there is no life in it. It is a dead work.

Love is fun, as for god and death. Yes he is eternal, but it is in his way and presence. He is the I Am. All this world is of God. Natural diasters are the will of god most of the time, crib death is god, disease is God.

The only thing not of his is that which we create, cause or do by our own will. God has a plan and though he is perhaps seen as heavy handed so might we see the mother bird pushing it's chicks from the nest. God has condemed more souls that he will save.

Its not about life or eternity, one is what we make it, the other is a goal-a reward for the way we live it. I'm not preaching to you but please try to understand, god is good and forever... And love man, it's a blessing, it's apart of the spirit... And in my eyes the compassity to love selflessly is the most godly aspect mankind inherited when he made us in his image, why squander it by limiting it?

Yeah, I disagree man. Song of Solomon 2:3 and 4:16, among other places I'm sure, both allude to oral sex. At least, in my hormone-driven mind they do. If you just read that book dude, you'll see that they're just all up in each other, and I doubt it was all reproductively-oriented.

Now, don't get me wrong here, I'm also in the no-contraceptives camp. I just believe that if/when you're with your lover, as long as you're trusting God to provide for you and not trying to thwart the reproductive process, the whole table's open to you. Well except the stuff specifically forbidden in the bible due to sanitation/adultery reasons, but I hope you get my point.

God bless you,
- Topher

Dude, you got it all wrong. Have you read your bible? God created Eve for Adam because he was lonely. God did say to be fruitful and multiply, but my interpretation is that he wants married couples to enjoy making love while they are concieving.

Get a life and lighten up.

As it says in the traditional wedding service.

Marriage/Sex is for mutual help and comfort.

Marriage/Sex were invented before children.

If Adam and Eve had not fallen there would have been no children and they would still be at it.

Why wouldnt he?? he made us this way to have desires for our husband/wife and to have children. If he didnt want us to enjoy eachother he wouldnt have made it a joyfull experience. Again I state for a husband & wife. Perhaps you feel different about it because you have not yet met the woman who will be your wife. & if you are engaging in premarital sex, Gods definitely not going to bless that.
Thats what i used to think until a few days ago. I read a post on here that says we can not lose our salvation. So if we go to heaven no matter what we do, then why would God have a problem with it? God bless

Awesome question. I kinda wondered if God made sex only to have children also, but that just seems a little rediculous. Men and women want sex and they should be able to express that and their love with their partner without the desire to have a child.
