first of all, I think the way the world runs is sick.:)



criminals dying coz thats what they deserve??
No, that we have decided to give them 'what they deserve' which is a swifter death, when
equally we are all sinners. We all deserve hell.
In the Bible it says that when you hold hate in your heart towards another, no matter how awful that
person may be, you have just the same murdered them. I don't know about you, but
I am a criminal.

or us not wasting money on how we would execute them?
We have wasted money on everything else in this world. Why care for one thing so specifically
when, there are so many worse things that should take our attention.

Well first off, who stated hate? I was under the impression that it was justification. When you sommit a crime, there is always a punishment to be served.

Either way, it doesn't matter how stubborn you are, the bible is QUITE clear on what to do with murderers.

Genesis 9:6 "Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man."

Now as to your quote from Jesus, was the murderer without sin? Cause to me it looks as if he/she cast the first stone.

I understand we must have some way of punishing criminals, since we must protect others

but death penalty is not the way
they punish the family more than the criminal....! (he dies, they loose him....)

Yes it was from the OT, but when Jesus came he said that he came not to change the ways of Moses.

death penalty might not be killing, but it is definitely taking a life...

Yes he did. But if he had said that he is not coming to change the ways, and than decided to literally change them, than that would make him a liar. Which would mean that he wasn't perfect, which he is perfect. I believe he said this in the context that you killing someone for a reason other than what is acceptable in the bible, is a sin. Otherwise, you wouild be saying that he lied.

That isn't my place to decide, but I do believe that adultry is a HANUS (however you spell it) act. I understand what you are saying, but you can't just say that we aren't supposed to dish out the death penalty, cause the bible is clear on it.

thats what they did in the bible, if a woman was caught she would get stoned. I think we should bring that policy back, but have it apply for men and women.

well yeah, but the bible says a lot of things most people wouldn't do, so I see no reason to defend death penalty

I'm sure not gunna cut my hand of the next time I sin...

cruel and usual punishment is illegal, stoning someone is not torture. its quick if you use really BIG ROCKS!

there are actually rules in the bible about the lower and upper limit of stone size :p

see thats what im talkin about it, use little stones your only prolonging the death, use the BIG ONES and you can just knock um upside the head once and BAM their dead
