Well I may be speaking presumptuously, but nobody really knows 100% for sure if that is what the Bible is saying.
Personally I do think that is what it means. I'm not sure how it would happen.
But I think we tend to think of the "spiritual" world as something that is somehow "magical", when the reality is it could be just like the physical world, only that "spiritual matter" has different properties.
Another thing to consider is that maybe angels have a much better understanding of God's creation than we do, possessing knowledge far greater than any of our modern scientists. They may know of, or have ways to alter things on a molecular level. One thing I think is for sure, if such a thing happened, God allowed it to happen to fulfill His purposes.
God certainly does not allow such things in our time. The fallen angels have been bound in the pit/sheol/hades or whatever it is until judgement.
With the exception of maybe Apollyon in Revelation 9

"Sons of God" were descendants of Seth. Intermarriage likely produced the genetic setup to make them giants. It was a mutation that, by that intermarriage, was multiplied until it was a dominate gene. All one has to do to see "giants" in the human race is study the Zulus. Or read about the French archaeologists, Lebeuf and Griaule, who led an expedition to Chad in North Central Africa. As they crossed the plains they saw some areas covered with small mounds.
They also found large numbers of these mounds around Fort Lamy and Goulfeil. Deciding to investigate, they dug up several egg-shaped funeral jars that contained the remains of a gigantic race, along with pieces of their jewelry and their works of art. These giants, according to the natives, were called the Saos. In common usage benay Eloheym, which we translate sons of God, is an idiomatic reference to angels.
The only other OT references to sons of God occur in Job 1:6, 2:1, and 38:7. In all these cases it signifies angels.
In the NT believers in Jesus are called children of God and Jesus is the only begotten Son of God; but that usage was unknown in Gen chapter 6.
In Sodom and Gamorrah, the men wanted to have sex with the angels that appeared as men.

yes that is true...but nowhere in the text is it implied that the men of sodom knew that lot's two guests were angels...nor is it implied that what they were demanding was even possible...

Genesis 4:17-24 lists the line of Cain.
Genesis 5 lists the line of Seth, the one who traces to Messiah.
The line of Seth mentions two holy followers of God, Enoch 5:21-24 and Noah 5:32.
Seth's line appears to be set up as Godly, something special. I mean Enoch, Noah, and leading to Jesus.
Then we come to Genesis 6.
Which has us wondering who the sons of God and daughters of men are.
Since this is after two lines, one that is super Godly, and another that is from the first recorded murderer, it may follow that the sons of God are those from the holy line that leads to Messiah, as the daughters of men are from the line that comes from the first murderer.
So it may not have been angels having relations with humans, rather it was the Godly line having relations with the ungodly line.
And what do we see after this?

This no longer happens, God put a stop to it. But in the day of the created Earth, the fallen angels, the demons, could not have their glorified bodies, they were stripped of them, therefore had to possess flesh or things, they had to be IN something. A legion of spirits can be in one man. the abyss is anything that is not physical, such as the air, or even water, spirits have to possess physical matter of some kind, either dormant, or living, or even dead.
They would indeed take physical form in the days of Adam and Eve, using whatever means they could, animals, plants, solid matter, whatever. Consider:
Genesis 4:14 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.
Who was he scared of? The only humans there at that time was Adam and Eve and himself, so who was he referring to, who was he scared of? It was the demons he was concerned about. So God marked Him, so the demons knew he was marked by God and would not come near him. But cains daughters were not marked, and those creatures did as they would with the daughters of cain, and giants were in those days. But as to powers of God the Nephilims may have seemed to have, it was only the powers that the demons would show through their own selves, being that the demons would possess these offspring. satan is the god of this world. he is a god, demons are also considered gods, because they are all immortal, and were all created by Jesus Christ as immortals. The Nephilims were half humans and half gods (devils), NOT half Angels of God.

The sons of God are human. I am a child of God. Angels do not marry nor are they given in marriage. Mark 12:25
The only way that I know of is if the 'earth' was not in the world of Assiah but rather Yetzirah.
The men, women as well as angels and demons would have had human anatomy and yet not be physical beings.
You could argue that the Christ aspect of Jesus came from such a world.

First of all, when angels came down to earth they were able to take on human physical form and were able to do the same things as men could do, but spirits cannot. This is brought out in other scriptures where angels appeared unto men. For example in Genesis The Lord, and two other men appeared unto Abram, and Abram knew that it was the Lord and 2 angels so he went and met them and offered them water and food and told them to rest under the shade of his tree because it was hot in the middle of the day. The men accepted his offer. So these men ate and drank and got hot and sweaty as any other humans would even though they were angels. Then in Genesis 19 it tells how the 2 angels went to Sodom to warn Abram's nephew Lot to get out of Sodom because God was going to destroy it.
And there came two angels to Sodom at even; Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;[SUP]2[/SUP] And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.
[SUP]3[/SUP] And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.
So these angels ate the feast that Lot prepared for them. The main point here is that spirits can't eat and drink and get tired and hungry like these angels did, but the angels did do all of these physical things when they took on human form. And this would mean that they could also have intercourse with human women while in this human form. Also, spirits are invisible to the human physical eye so the angels would have to take on human form anyway in order for men to be able to see them. And don't forget the verse in the New Testament that says:
[SUP]2[/SUP] Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
Angels who take on human form have the same attributes as humans.
We are children of God. NOT the human, flesh part of us, but the spirit that is within us, is a child of God. demons are fallen children of God. satan is fallen Angel of God.
human marry and are given to marriage. Angels are neither male nor female, and they are male and female, they are neither human (Earthly) nor animal, but can choose to be either. Angels have no need to marry, they LOVE one Another equally not one above another. Humans marry for several reasons, procreation, helpmate, support, and many other reasons, none of which Angels require. The Spirit that is within you comes from God and is created by God, and is immortal, That is why every spirit will either be in Heaven for all eternity or be separated from Heaven for all eternity, because that spirit can't be killed, and it can't die, it was created by Jesus to be immortal. satan is immortal, he can't be killed, and he can't die, that is why he will be forever in the lake of fire and brimstone as Scriptures plainly teach he will be..
Is it not written "ye are gods" That is because we are the offspring of God Himself, we are His children, we are gods. We will reign with Jesus (God) why? because we are gods as well. Jesus (God) says we are ONE with Him and His Father, we are ONE with God, makes us God too. Hence it is written "ye are gods" This is why we are considered the children of God, this is why we call each other Brothers and sisters, we are all related to the Father, we are offspring of Him.

Angels of God did not have sex with humans. Now the Angels that were cast out of Heaven, these did.

I think Jude has a lot to say....The angels which LEFT their FIRST estate are COMPARED to SODOM and Gomorrah<------GOING AFTER STRANGE FLESH.....The language carries a sexual cannotation regardless of those who will reject this.....second....to marry and given in marrige does not equal SEXUAL PERVERSION!
