BORN AGAIN
The embers lay ashen and gray. The chill of dawn cools my brow. I stand at the birth of a new day, And am mystified, for it’s being I know now how. Yet, an unexplained peace lies within. No longer in the shadows of night will I find fear. I know now, this wonder of wonders a new dawn will send, And, even as I speak, the world doth appear.
