That's not being obedient to God though it sounds religious. It's also why so many Christians become senior singles. "...and God said to them, 'Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it.'" Gensis 1:28.

Are you being "fruitful and multiplying?"

I'm single because I'm waiting on God....

I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I. -1Cor. 7:8

Since you want to quote the Bible one verse at a time and ignore the ones that dispute your case, at least this is the New Testament. Now leave LiJo alone; if she believes God doesn't want her to marry right now, she's being obedient to the best of her knowledge, and I'd just about guarantee that she's right. If you don't think you've met the right guy yet you seek the Lord on it with a faithful heart, He'll generally poke you and let you know that someone is right for you after all despite your original misgivings.

I have sinned against people. Not perfect but I always make sure to not to leave someone when im in the relationship. Recently, got this online someone special and he disappeared and said, he was tired for the past 6 months and communicate no more... he told me too, he will come PH this coming OCT, but no more communicating in the email. I was seeing him sometimes checking the site where we two met but that's it... No messages coming from him. So strange but I am no more hoping as for sure, the avoidance and disappearing act means something. No need to ask someone an explanation anymore.
Hmm!
We, people, sined against God and people. We´re learning to avoid those faults and trying to avoid being hurt: There´s no sure way to be shielded or armored. He! He!

If a person is not willing to spend more than a year learning from another person...

How´s everything going there?

:)
Since she hasn't been active on the site in 7 months, basically days after creating this thread, I'm guessing she won't be answering.

Anyone ever experienced that churches ignore single adults?
You are just expected to be married and have kids.
If you are single and above 18 you shouldn't exist and they have
no ministry for you, only for kids/teens
and old people?

That's maybe why we have so few (single) young adults in churches
(and when you are single, finding someone thus gets harder, LOL)

Yes Tickety-toc - definitely that is true - which this is such bull. It shows churches are more concerned with families - because they you have kids to put in their childrens ministry, and then you give money. Then I have been to churches with single adult ministries - but they treat it like a bible study - nothing to do with being a single adult, but a bible study with a name tacked on - like it's the right thing to do - but no calling for it

Exciting Idlewild - don't ask was a church I was going to just for the Single adult ministry - which after a while - it seemed pointless

Im single cos things didnt work out but I have to say i really really LOVE the freedom God has allowed me. I recently went Vegan ( lots of christians are doing this now as its actually a biblical diet and really super healthy...)and this is something I just love....

I am new to this but wanted to share that altho the Lord healed me completely of arthritis inmy shoulder many years ago ( and it has never returned) I slowly developed naggin pains in other parts of my body ( old age arthritis) and also I had a lot of weight gain and varicose veins. I found a video called Gary Yourofsky's Best Ever Speech which was very long ( an hour!!) but also very interesting and watchable- and it talked about why we shouldn't eat the products of crutley because that is the same as supporting the crutley so they can do it again. I could see as a christian that going vegan was a very good thing... and guess what ? the arthritis went, the varicse veins went and the weight just disappeared. My ehalth is so good now, for which I thank God every day because I am eating the diet that He gave us in the garden of Eden and also is anticipated in Scripture-tha the Lion will lie down with the lamb.

so please watch Gary Yourofsky's Best Ever Speech on Youtube and after you are saddened by what goes on, then pick yourself up and choose to change for a much healthier way--- it will win you frineds who are vegan and also love animals and it makes us a much BETTER witness for Christ ( because it shows we care and have love, real love, not just words) as well as great health.
THEN.. here is the good bit... you will find AMAZING recipes for delicious brilliant food all over the internet. There are brilliant vegan webistes everywhere. There are also christian-vegan facebook pages. google it and find out. You will be sooo thankful to God that He has provided an answer to our health needs... you will be quite amazed at the changes,.....I can testify that yes, it is true, that God DOES heal instantly and miraculously, but He also GIVES us what we need for health in nutrition... I highly recommend this wonderful way of living..... God bless :) :) ps kids love it..... :)

at my church, this is quite true. the young adults (singles) are grouped with the youth. once you're married, you move on to the women's/men's ministry. it's frustrating because i'm 31 and single, so there's not really a group for me. there's only a couple of others singles around my age. i guess it's not very common to be single in late 20+ because people here tend to get married in their early 20s. so i sometimes feel out of place although i help with ministry.

As you can see, the manner in which your church addresses singlehood does not reflect present U.S. demographics. It may; however, reflect that church's demographics.
