Rob is a troll. He starts a thread with the intention of wasting people's time. Bob answers Rob's op sincerely. Rob laughs and thinks he's hooked another fool. But then comes Jerry, who reads Bob's post and finds Bob's words speak to him. And so, thru Bob's sincere response to Rob's tomfoolery, Jerry becomes enlightened. Even if Jerry himself never posts a word (10 character minimum of course ;) ).

Should Rob's thread be banned and closed? Or do we allow for God to work thru even the likes of Rob for the Jerrys of this world?

Nothing personal, RitchieUK, but that's what this sounds like to me. You take Rob too personally.
 
all trolls should be banned..they start multiple idiotic threads, and waste our time. They must have sad home lifes if their idea of fun is to troll a christian chatsite.. :/ jmo
 
I'm not saying trolls shouldn't be banned, they should... hung, whipped, burnt at the stake even. I just don't think we automatically have to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

But what's this all about anyway? Which thread etc... :confused:
 
Not every troll thread or post is removed. Only the ones that go against the posted rules.

yes, that's who they're talking about.. no, I didn't get a pm..for some reason, I never get pm's from trolls. Now I feel left out. *sniffle* :p

I see fair enough, well it was short lived but I recognised their way of speaking/typing. I think they had been on the forum before and I must of ticked them off somehow lol

Couple of weeks back some guy was sending me weird PM's........I ignored the first, and few days later got a 2nd, simply put him on my Ignore list........no more weird PM's. May be the same guy y'all got PM's from. Dunno. I never saw a comment on a Forum posted by his Screen Name.........but I didn't look all that hard for one either...........so.......

Yes got two different PM's by the second one it was the Yes No guy from before....so I just told him not to bother to PM me again as I would put him on the ignore list...I hate doing that but am tired of being harassed at the same time.

I find these trolls get nasty quickly.One guy made a sexual comment in a thread.Others get angry when ignored.So no I dont think they deserve a chance.We all follow the rules,so should they.Many of them are warned and keep it up.I say get rid of them when they pop up.JMO
