Normally I would reference scripture but in this reply I will not. Those who have actually studied the New Testament, I’m talking hours a day, everyday, for a long period of time, for me it has been several years, will know what I’m saying. (It’s called renewing of the mind.) Those who have just read the New Testament, or have just listen to their pastor in church on Sunday mornings or maybe tune in sometimes to TV preachers, will be lost.
If you want to know what sin is just read the law. The law was given so we would know what sin is.
I myself do not live by the law.
I exist in a shell which is made up of flesh and blood. Like a peanut within a shell, the peanut is separate from the shell. I to am separate from this flesh and blood shell. This shell that I live in is going to sin, it is going to break the law. No matter how hard it tries, no matter how much it doesn’t want to, it’s going to sin and there is nothing I can do to stop it. It may want to do the right thing, I can try to will it to do the right thing, but it’s going to do the wrong thing. Why?
This shell was born in a world which is evil. This shell it’s self is the offspring of two other evil shells which were also the offspring of evil shells. Jesus himself refers to this shell as being evil, “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children.” So the shell I live in is corrupt, sinful and evil.
However, my Brother’s shell was not. His Father was not of this world so that worldly evil seed did not corrupt his shell. (I’m adopted). Oh believe me, the world tried to get Him to corrupt his shell, but because His Father was not of this world, and there was no corruption, sin or evil in His shell, He was able to overcome this evil world and keep His shell pure and free from sin, something that I’m not able to do. His shell never broke the law.
There is a punishment for breaking law. And the shell I’m in has broken the law and continues to do so. My Brother’s shell never broke the law so there is no punishment for Him. Let me tell you what He did. He said Thomas, my brother, I love you so much that I’m going to take your place. The life that I lead, keeping my shell pure from the evil of this world, I give to you. From now on when our Father looks at you He will see My life. And the punishment you deserve for breaking the law, I will take that for you. And not only that I will give you a new shell, one that is pure, free from corruption and it will never ever be able to be corrupted.
Isn't my Brother wonderful.
He is not just my Brother, He is your Brother as well.
Oh..my Brothers name? Jesus Christ.
I love you all
