Anybody that thinks ''radical Islam'' is the reason for any of these wars or interjections by America is absolutely thick. The rise in radical Islam is a direct result of Americas ''interjections''.
Guess that means these guys ...

... are a figment of our imaginations, huh?

Your ignorance is appalling for its willfulness as well as is utter failure to understand who they are. While professing unwavering faith in a transcendent deity, radical Islam is a militant, politically activist ideology whose ultimate goal is to create a worldwide community, or caliphate, of Muslim believers. Read The Atlantic's March issue cover story, What ISIS Really Wants" and have your eyes opened to the truth you fear and want at all costs to avoid.

I always laugh at the blindly religiously convicted, militantly nationalistic patriots when they get annoyed that other people are religiously convicted, militantly nationalistic patriots.

So if we just pulled out all the burning, beheading, raping and pillaging would stop then?

I never said that. I said America's wars (and Britain's, for that matter) are the primary aggravating factor for the rise in militant Muslim extremism in the Middle East. It wasn't this bad before the American military got there, and these people are more extreme for it having been there.

Why?

Because the American military slaughtered hundreds of thousands of their people, and now they bit back. I said this years ago, that military intervention into a culture we as Westerners did not understand, in which drone strikes killed so many Muslims, would result in aggravating the problem of extremism, not kerbing it.

Your post might make sense if they weren't doing the raping, pillaging, beheading and burning to their own.

oh come on you can't be that dense.

Extremism in the Middle East pre-date any USA involvement. It actually dates back to WW1 when *ahem* the British Empire screwed over the Arabs after the defeat of the Ottoman Empire. And worse after WW2. Nazi'ism never ended with the defeat of Germany in 1945 it continued in the Arab world under the Baath party.

War with Iran is not being manufactured. It is a real possibility and has been for some years.

It is rather simple really. Iran has been in pursuit of nuclear technology for about a decade. It has been publicly stated for years now by many Western, and even Middle Eastern governments, that they will not tolerate a nuclear Iran because of the Iranian leadership's pseudo-apocalyptic plans which are also not secret at all.

Right now as it stands, the West, namely America, is attempting to manufacture peace with Iran. This is the meaning of the negotiations and deals made with Iran this past year and further negotiations are upcoming in a few months. It is a last ditch effort to prevent such a war.

What will actually happen though, that we shall see. Soon at that.

I know it predates USA involvement. I know full well what the British (and French) did to the region. What with BP, with the regiments of Palestinians fighting for the cause, the destruction of ships meant to ferry hundreds of thousands of displaced Jews (later Israelis) to the region, the destabilization of the Ottoman Empire, the Afghanistan wars, the establishment of borders across the Duvant line, the rebellion of the Parthans. I know well.

All I am saying is that the problem of extremism met new heights when America's killing of the Muslims in that region hit new numbers of casualties, when America's involvement in the Russian Afghanistan war ended and they turned their backs on the Mujahideen, to many people ''corrupted Saudi Arabia's government'' and double dealt with the Shah, Saddam Hussein and others.

It's really not hard to see, or imagine, that in a couple of countries where America and NATO are responsible for; over a million civilian deaths due to war itself (bombs and bullets); poverty; destruction of important infastructure like water lines and electricity plants; inflation; and Westernization against the cultural norms, that those afflicted would seek some form of retribution, whether motivated by personal loss, nationalism, or just extremism.

The issue, I find, is that as soon as the word ''extremism'' or ''terrorist'' is thrown out, then there is no argument to be made, sort of like the word ''heresy'' back in the days where the churches ruled the lands. When you really think about it though, what is terrorism?

The word was coined in France under the government's ''Reign of Terror'', and it originally applied to governments who intimidated through fear. It is defined as ''the use of violence and intimidation in pursuit of political aims'', and under that definition, both Britain and the US are guilty of killing more people through terrorism than the Muslim extremists are.

The US is equivalent to the mafia thugs that go around demanding protection money. You don't pay then we break your legs.

Basically Iran is targeted for invasion because they have not surrendered control of their central bank. In 2000 Libya, Iraq and Afghanistan controlled their central bank. Three wars later they no longer control it. As in your other post, the US have a program of 7 countries in 5 years to invade. The US is not the nice country people think they are.

Now the USA is involved in serious sin. But I don't know what leads you to think the above. It seems to me that the USA goes in with a Messianic complex thinking it is going to save the country for humanism/democracy/republic-ism. Then the USA goes in thinking it can destroy the bad guys & lavishes money trying to save the natives, as if they wanted saving.

I invite you to prove your claims above or retract. Tell us how you know & are so sure that you can bad-mouth the USA on that basis.
And BTW, explain to us how you KNOW that mafia thugs are bad? And how do you know that the protection racket is bad? And how do you know it is bad to break legs? Lets see the proof.

Is that the same Baath party (who were at the time fiercely anti-British, because they were anti-Israeli and the British were pro-Israel, Arabs) whose 1963 coup in Iraq the US government and the CIA funded and supported because they did not like that the military government of the time led by Abdul-Karim Qassim withdrew Iraq from the Baghdad pact, a pact which was fiercely anti-Soviet?

The Arabs of the Baath party were not Nazi's, but their predecessors were pro-German in the Second World war and afterwards because the British had invaded Iraq, bombed indiscriminately (not unlike the Americans about eighty years later), installed a puppet government run by a non-Iraqi Sunni, thus alienating the Shia majority of Iraq, and were pro-Israel, the creation of which meant displacing much the Muslim population of Palestine in favour of the Jews, which was always going to cause untold conflict. What the British were thinking -- that they could invade Shia Iraq, promote a Westernized, heavily administrated, costly culture that the Iraqis neither wanted nor asked for, while trying to retain the support of the Shia masses while installing a Sunni leader, killing thousands upon thousands of innocents in bombings and supporting the establishment of an Israel that meant the end of hundreds of years of Arab-Ottoman settlement, I really don't know.

America are similarly stupid.

IS this the same Baath party that was founded by a Syrian Christian as an intendedly secular party committed to the re-education of the Arab world, the same party that was taken over many years later by a Saddam Hussein who executed most of the members and totally changed its political direction and who was supported by the Americans for such a long time because of his similar eagerness to the Shah of Iran in both prostituting Iraq's oil to the Western world and in murdering his people?

There are a few common denominators in most of these occurences: America, oil, and hypocrisy in policy -- Americans cry about freedom and democracy at home, but are fine supporting dictators as long as the oil keeps flowing.

Insofar as their foreign policy and misapplications in the Middle East? Yes, very.

You have some valid points...the folks in charge are not really doing a very good Job....maybe we will soon have a better leader in place....if we can all survive until then?

The goverments has been trying to drum up wars for many years. A war is not far away I would guess with all that is happening of late. But in the Bible it says that we will hear of wars and see wars but the end is not yet has come. It is hard I guess for some to not to worry, but God tells us not to worry. for these things will come to pass.

Just for the record, the most costly wars in the lose of life during the last 100 years began when the US had a Dem president.
WWI, WWII, Korea, Viet Nam.

I agree.

The Right Wing also had to execute a sitting president to escalate the war.

Richard Nixon also stalled peace talks in order to help his president election chances which is treasonous.

Hey everybody, It's official, David has been apointed by God to reveal the truth to all of us stupid Americans.
He has devine insight. If you don't believe me, just ask him. He is a know it all!

Uh ... you do know Kennedy was president when that happened, right? Three weeks before he himself was assassinated. Now, I know Kennedy wasn't as far-ultra-nutball-crazy left wing as Obama and most of the Democrats in the House and Senate today, but calling him "right wing" is an equal stretch of the imagination.

Also, where's your proof anyone from the U.S. had anything to do with it? And no, InfoWars.com nor any opinion piece from the New York Times or Washington Post from that era, do not count as a valid source.
