So I just sat down to do my taxes for 2014. Standard 1040ez, no problem, I do this stuff in my head... until I get down to line 11, about health insurance. Specifically about my lack of health insurance - I HAD insurance until 2014 when the government made it too expensive. Now I have to pay a "shared responsibility" fine.

ATTENTION EVERYONE WHO HATES CAPITALISM: Well now we have socialism. Happy now?
uff! i still have to do my taxes. and i know i'll pay that "shared responsibility" fine -_-

I would like a nickel for every time somebody states that laptops cannot be upgraded apart from RAM and storage drives. People get derided for asking about upgrade potential. The mockers display as much or more ignorance (and considerably more arrogance) than inquiring minds.

Every time I say "Okay, that's enough for this playlist. I don't want my phone's Spotify playlist to take up too much space on my phone," I remember a song I want on there. Then another. Then ten others. Then a band I forgot about ─ shoot! I just remembered three more songs.

if we had real people in the courts instead of liberal lapdogs, that whole fine deal would have been struck down as unconstitutional. government can not fine you for not buying a product period it is unconstitutional, but democrats don't care about that piece of paper they want a United Socialist States of America.

We paid the fine this year. It was outrageous.

It was my first year doing taxes. I still don't understand the process of it even after going to Jackson Hewitt. *Sigh*

Do people have comfort food? Like, a specific food you would like to eat when life gets tough which will.comfort you?

I wonder if it is just me...
You are not alone.....there is a bunch of comfort food that I love with or without the pain of life....Meatloaf, mashed potatoes and green beans and top it off with any kind of dessert and I am a happy camper/Blond.....

I need a secluded cabin where there's just me, my pets, WiFi, and an espresso machine.

Secluded cabins don't usually have WiFi.

If you're still within range of broadband, you're not all that secluded.

And satellite internet sucks unless you get the satellite equivalent of a leased line. Leasing time on a satellite is... expensive. But honestly how else are you supposed to watch netflix in the middle of nowhere.

It'd be secluded enough :p

But maybe just a cabin that's only sort of out of the way. I dunno. I just really want a cabin. lol :p

There's just times where I really feel the need to get away, yet, it's not really an option.

(And soon enough I'll be living in a complete mess. It's almost going to be a living heck.)

Just around 9 days from now, there will be a bridal shower for my sister. And 30-some days from now, there will be a wedding.

It makes me feel sick, and I wish I had an excuse to get out of all of it. I don't want to be in the wedding, AT ALL. I've tried and tried and tried to be patient and loving. Going with the flow. She keeps saying, "I'm so excited, what about you??" and way too many times, I've just had to plead the fifth (aka just pretend I didn't hear her say anything) because the truth hurts too much - This is a mess and a mistake and she needs out. I've already said my peace to her before, and somehow she thinks my opinion has changed. And no, this is not the simple, "Oh this is just you're sister you're talking about, of course you're worried she's marrying the wrong guy. Give it time, and she'll be fine." It's so much different. And so much worse.

And these are the moments I'm glad I'm single.

i understand this. honestly, i've been in those situations. i tend to just repeat the words, "yes, i'm very happy for you." your whole family has been through a great deal in the last 12 months.

that generally works. being happy for someone isn't really validating or approving, as much as acknowledging their joy. and it doesn't make me feel like a liar. : )

i know you have concerns, but know that my own brother's marriage was one i initially worried quite a bit about. they've now been married about 12 years, have several kiddos and from my perspective, seem very happy and content. i've seen how both have grown, especially my brother.

i know it's not easy. and i prayed for you this afternoon. *hugs* : )

I just ordered a microphone off Amazon so that hopefully the next time I record a song it doesn't sound so terrible.

And maybe it will actually work for chat!

I may trade in, or pawn, one of my bass guitars (perhaps both) and get an acoustic guitar ─ or if I get rid of both, I'll get a new bass guitar as well.

Also: I had too much fiber today.

I amuse myself sometimes. I wanted to be all humdrum and be like, "Everyone's getting into a relationship. Well, where's my guy?? Probably gone and turned himself into a toad, never to be seen again."

And then I realize, wait a sec, here. I'm 18. 2 years from now I'm gonna look at myself and I'm gonna think I was crazy for thinking I should have a boyfriend. I don't care how many of my friends and people my age are dating and think they love someone. At this day and age, no one at 18 fully knows what love and commitment truly is.
I sure don't, and if I'm gonna date someone, I don't need to put them through some dumb emotional roller coaster. I want to be at my best emotionally, spiritually, physically... Life is going to give us enough crap, no need to add immaturity into the mix. Granted no one is perfect, but there's a point in life where you know that if you tried anything with anyone if they even had interest in you (which no one has ever mentioned having interest in me), it'd go down in flames.

So yeah. Praise God that He knows what He's doing and that if He wants me to marry, I will, and it'll feel right, and the timing will be His perfect timing. So glad God's looking out for me and has my back.
