i don't get the point of piercing your belly buttons..or private parts.. ouch.. :(
Yeah, I don't get it either.

"Oh goodness, you are such a beautiful girl.
Hey, you know what would make you even prettier?
You'd be even prettier if we POKED YOU FULL OF HOLES!"

Some things are just so wrong.

Dolly Parton once said...." It took me millions of dollars, to look this cheap!". Whew...no thanks!

Of course, the thing that irritates me the most about this thread, quite simply, is that a man is throwing Scripture in the face of every woman here. Without knowing how any of us dress, how we are in our marriages, in our churches or jobs, families, etc.

Plus, no man can know that we have a women's forum, where we discuss among ourselves these very issues. Yes, we are mature enough to consult one another on modesty, dress and decorum!

I think if a man wants to give directions to other men, using the word of God, that is awesome. But when someone comes on condemning the women in the forum for something we have not done, then it is time to draw a line in the sand.

And yes, I know VR already covered this much better than I did. I was driving in my car high in the Rocky Mountains with limited cell phone coverage (and who wants to post from a tiny cell phone screen anyway?!) and didn't get my two cents in. Well, make that zero cents, rounding it down in Canada, since we don't have the penny anymore!

Yeah...
but don't you think it's more important to be in a public forum,
being told what to do by complete strangers who don't know anything about you?

I believe Paul's instruction is relevant today. In fact, it was Paul's writings that the Holy Spirit used to open my eyes regarding the liberty offered to us by the grace of Christ Jesus. I'm crucified with Christ, it is no longer a woman who lives, but Christ Jesus Himself who lives in me. There is no male or female in the celestial realm. I reign with Christ Jesus in the spiritual realm and that is where the Lord teaches me to walk. In reality, I'm no longer of this carnal world so I don't need to focus on my outward. Further more, it is Christ performing His work in me for His purpose. All I need do is rest in Him and obey His Voice.

Just because someone knows the scripture does not give them authority to teach. The devil knows the scriptures better than most people. That doesn't make him a spokesperson for the Lord God. Every wind of doctrine is posted in these forums and we should have the maturity to discern when someone is off-base and teaching from an intellectual standpoint rather than humbly submitted to the Holy Spirit.

If I don't hear Jesus Christ crucified and lifted up in an exhortation, I reject it. If people are ridiculed in a post rather than being set free in the spirit of Jesus Christ, I reject it. If a post causes confusion and division, I reject it.

It's fine to come on here and tell us what you think.

So please... continue.

Could you please tells us EXACTLY and SPECIFICALLY what VALUES you see here that are WRONG.

Please explain for everyone, and please be specific so we understand you.
Please. Do not play like you don't understand what I mean, when we all do.

I do not have time for pointless explanation.

You all should know, that you do no raise just against me, but the real manner of God's church, and here we see the problem of world's christianity today.

You all claim to be a christian, and claim to follow the Bible, but here we see, how it is.

You values is from the world, and not from the Spirit of God.

God is always the same.
I feel a slight sense of judgement.................

I don't disagree with Paul's instruction to Timothy at all but rather in the way that the OP presented the material. He was judgmental with women in general and his tone seemed a bit arrogant. There was no balance in the way it was presented as it was entirely slanted and biased against women.
I agree....what is the point of this thread besides the obvious?
How about saying something lovely about women before dictating what you think should be right for them.
Women do not like to be told what to do. But only guided!

So I take it you are above this person......seeing you have no time for them because it wasn't the answer you wanted.
You do not have time yet you made time to reply, You are so rude.

There are a lot of men on CC who make it blatantly obvious they have a problem with women - generally. I don't understand why, maybe it's that they feel threatened...I don't know, only they know.

So if you do not follow the doctrine's of the Bible, you follow your own desires, and what you are think you may achieve for that?

The time what we live right now, is the predicted time of apostasy, so be carefully what you believe.

It is wise to believe what the scriptures of Bible says.

Welcome to the "Bible Discussion Forum" where simply posting scripture will get you mocked and ridiculed. Of course, the mockery and ridicule is really aimed at God and His Word which so many people here despise. Anyhow, you did nothing wrong by posting your OP. God's Word stands sure...even if many people hate it.
