You must consider to whom Jesus is speaking and in this case it is to the Pharisees, whom Jesus declared do not know Him, and Jesus did not consider the Pharisees to be His sheep, He God id not know them, they are not His, they are of the Devil, their father is the Devil, so they cannot know the Father neither recognize the father as the son in physical reality.
That has absolutely nothing to do with the point Jesus refereed to Himself as another Person than His Father IE the Trinity.

When Jesus prayed, was He talking to Himself?

No, He does not refer to Himself as another person, there is a differentation between the visible and the invisible, the flesh and blood and humanity of Christ, and the invisible Spirit of the Father, the man, Jesus Christ existed with the Father as one being the same before He was born of woman as a man, that man was Jesus Christ whom is the exact likeness and image of God the Father, and is God the Father as is written in Isaiah and Revelation, only God can be Saviour, He is either one or He is not, if He is divisible than He is not one and complete in Himself, He is divisble, the Trinity is division. I say He is not divisble.

John 8
17 It is also written in your law that the testimony of two men is true.
18 I am One who bears witness of Myself, and the Father who sent Me bears witness of Me.”
19 Then they said to Him, “Where is Your Father?”
Jesus answered, “You know neither Me nor My Father. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also.”
20 These words Jesus spoke in the treasury, as He taught in the temple; and no one laid hands on Him, for His hour had not yet come.

So John 15:26; When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the spirit of Truth, who proceeds from the Father, He will bear witness of Me.
Becomes: When I (or My Spirit) comes, whom I will send to you from Me, that is My Spirit of Truth, who proceeds from Me, I will bear witness of Me.
Or perhaps the more theological: When I come as Spirit, which I as God-in-the-flesh will send you from Me-as-the-Father, that is the I-as-Spirit of Truth, who proceeds from Me-as-the-Father, then I-as-Spirit will bear witness of Me-as-God-in-the-flesh.

John 14:26 becomes: But the Helper, the Holy I-as-Spirit whom I-as-Father will send in My-as-God-in-the-Flesh's name, I-as-Spirit will teach you all things and bring to you rembrence all that I-as-God-in-the-flesh said to you.

I have always been amazed that those who believe in TRINITY are also ones that lack faith in many things. They seem to be the ones coming to my church asking for hand outs. I ask them how do you believe and why are you not involved in that church. They say, We are tired of repitional for trinitarians believe you have to have all 3 GODS in 1 agreement before anything can be done. I ask them, how do you get saved, how do you get healed, how do you cast out demons, how do you stand in faith, how do you accept HOLY GHOST, who was your example of how to be like GOD, when your in trouble who do you call on? I then ask can you call on the FATHER for these or HOLY GHOST? They say no we cant. I say amen and you know why? They say tell them. I say, Have no other gods before me. By JESUS alone do we have all of these. Even Peter the ROCK said in ACTS 2:38 Repent each and everyone of you and be baptized in the name of JESUS. JESUS is the complete GODHEAD...

First of all Peter is not the Rock Jesus is.. Second of all.. That is a HORRIBLE stereotype and I pray you repent of that.

1 Corinthians 10:4
and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.

Oh people of little faith!...do you not know that this is a mystery that we cannot fully understand while in our mortal bodies!...why do you argue so! why can you not just accept the Word for what it says?....Jesus said:

Mat 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

John 14:16-17 And I-as-God-in-the-Flesh will ask Myself-as-Father, and I-as-Father will give you another Helper (I-as-Spirit), that I-as-Spirit may be with you forever; that is the I-as-Spirit whom the world cannot recieve, because it does not behold Me-as-Spirit or know Me-as-Spirit but you know Me-as-Spirit because I-as-Spirit abide with you and will be in you.

Why repent. This happens all the time. This is what I have been told many times. It happens all the time in my church. If by me bringing this out and saying it offends you possibly it is because truth hurts. Yes, Jesus is the ROCK but Peter was a symbol by which JESUS told Peter he understood more about GOD. Remember it was Peter who said JESUS was EMMANUEL. This is why Peter had revelation to why we should be baptized in JESUS NAME ONLY.

Peter didn't have any special revelation being baptized in Jesus' name only.. Jesus said to do it.

Matthew 28:19
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit

Just because you believe in the Trinity doesn't mean you are lacking faith that is a horrible stereotype..

Well again, God cannot deny His own humanity, "testinmony" = record maturia. "men" would mean witness according to Deuteronmy 19:15, as 'bear witness' "Thou barest record of Thyself" v.13. As Christ is the witness of the truth, He differentiates His Godhood and His manhood. God is obviously not two seperate men of flesh and blood.

No and once again missing the point. Jesus was telling the pharisees that in the law, it is written that something is only true if two or more PERSONS bear witness of it. He went onto say "I bear witness of Myself (ONE PERSON), and the Father bears witness of me (PERSON number 2).

So, if my spirit and my flesh both testify of something, does this mean I meet the qualifictions of this law? Is that how God would see it as Jesus used it in this way?

Yeah, when you do something in the name of somebody else that is using their authority. He is saying baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.. Recognize they are separate persons but they are ONE in authority and power.

Devarim 6:4 Sh'ma Yis'ra'eil Adonai Eloheinu Adonai echad.

Deuteronomy 6:4 HEAR, O ISRAEL: THE LORD OUR GOD, THE LORD IS ONE.

ONE - ECHAD.. Echad is not Yachid which means ONE in a singular sense. Echad means one - plurality but in unity.

God is ECHAD, The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are all in perfect unity with perfect authority and power.

Why make it Three? God can unify the entire universe to His will, to act with Him as He wishes, is He limited to three, as logic declares eventually He must be singular and not divisible as one, however the multiplicity of His will and desire would be plural, in fact infinite eternally.
