LOL I'm ignorant because I believe the God that spoke the universe into existence is able to translate Hebrew and Greek into English. Now that's funny.

Looks like we see Christianity differently. In Galatians, Paul writes "But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law." The implication is that if we aren't led by the spirit, then we are still under the law. How do we know if we're led by the spirit? Next thing Paul writes is about the works of the flesh and fruit of the spirit.
I think there are people who believe in Jesus as their savior, and are still showing a lot of works of the flesh... just starting to grow the fruit of the spirit...

Right. And really, if it's a matter of belief, then I'm totally cool with that, and I say Go with God, and may He continue to give you wisdom and knowledge.
I agree, we do see Christianity differently. If I understand your statement above correctly, you are saying that a person can be saved and have a "small" portion of the fruits of the Spirit and a large portion of the flesh. The more fruits of the spirit they produce the "more" Spirit they have.
I can't agree with that though because the fruits of the Spirit are not the fruits of Dan, or the fruits of Rob (my name), they are the fruits of the Holy Spirit. We exhibit (not produce) those fruits because the Holy Spirit dwells within us. The Holy Spirit produces love, joy, peace.... in us, we don't grow into them.
In Romans 8 God defines exactly what it means to be in the flesh or in the Spirit. Any person that has the Holy Spirit dwelling in them are in the Spirit. Any person that does not have the Holy Spirit dwelling in them is in the flesh. A believer has no choice to be in the Spirit or not in the Spirit... that's a made up religious tradition.
Rom_8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Either our flesh has been crucified with Christ or it has not been crucified with Christ.... there is no partial crucifixion of the flesh.

You know, there is actually no exchange going on in this thread. The op is no longer here apparently, and KJV1611 does not answer questions or respond to posts that were given in response to questions he had. I refer in particular to this post I made in response to a request as follows:
I would find that confusing.....
1) The author is not able to translate from the original languages so she is actually giving the KJV the same import as the Bible written by the original authors. She has no authority one way or the other. Further, those who espouse the KJV only approach, should keep in mind they generally seem to believe that women should keep silent and women should not teach men. How does that line up with her book which is chalk full of teaching and why to KJV only men put aside what they say they believe in order to praise this book?
2)Gail Riplinger claims her book documents an alliance between newer translations of the Bible and the New Age Movement. Having studied the NAM, I find that statement ridiculous. As far as one world religion goes, I can only state, what on earth? Gail what are you talking about!
3) Gail really goes over the cliff when she states that people who defend the newer translations are not saved and are, in fact, opposed to God and are part of the team of the anti-Christ. She states the newer translations are preparing the apostate church and just generally rails against anyone whose name comes to her mind.
She compares men of God to Hitler and even Charles Manson. One starts to wonder what she ate for breakfast.
4) She has managed to leave out any 'proof' documentation for the outrageous claims she makes...a sure sign of 'believe this because I said it and me being who I am, I don't need proof.'
IMO, that is some big self righteous load of bull deposits she flings around. Just the opposite of what the Bible itself says..CHECK everything out and study to show yourself a good steward of the word of God...or as you might better understand it: 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. II Timothy 2:15
So I don't know how you will respond since you have not read the book?
BTW, this is just the very briefest little drop of what is actually a very large body of water with regards to the, almost laughable but unfortuneatly seriously erroneous 'facts', regarding her defense of the book, that one can read for themself online or in bookform.
Personally, I have the impression she is quite cultic in her approach. ANY...and I do mean any, time a person refuses correction, refuses knowledge, calls everyone else the anti-Christ and lies about their own credentials, and demands strict allegiance to their beliefs even if they fly in the face of what scripture states, then you have a big glass of cool-aid in the making.
So, KJV1611 you are defending a book you have not read, you don't answer questions, you ignore answers given to questions you have asked and appear to assume you have given proof of your position while dodging, ducking, running and changing the subject.
As you cannot actually defend your position other then by joking about how the rest of us do not know anything, I guess I could spend my time better elsewhere.

well, it's not a matter of having more of the spirit... the fruit of the spirit takes time to grow... just like regular fruit...
certainly you agree that some Christians are demonstrating more fruit of the spirit than others?
I agree. Paul also writes "For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another" notice the present tense... these things are still going on... and, "If we live by the Spirit, let’s also walk by the Spirit." Paul is encouraging the Galatians (Christians) to walk by the spirit.
so, I think it's something like the guilt of the flesh that was crucified.
