[kj] 19And say unto the people of the land,

[Thus saith the Lord God of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, [and]of the land of Israel; ]

They shall eat their bread with carefulness, and drink their water with astonishment, that her land may be desolate from all that is therein, because of the violence of all them that dwell therein.

(HCSB) changes the way this verse should read, different outcomes not same, the meanning changes

and or in

just though I could point this out.
REF:
Ezekiel 12:19 (HCSB)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] Then say to the people of the land: This is what the Lord GOD says about the residents of Jerusalem in the land of Israel: They will eat their bread with anxiety and drink their water in dread, for their land will be stripped of everything in it because of the violence of all who live there.

Ezekiel 12:19 (KJV)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] And say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord GOD of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and of the land of Israel; They shall eat their bread with carefulness, and drink their water with astonishment, that her land may be desolate from all that is therein, because of the violence of all them that dwell therein.

NOW, notice that the KJV translators clearly indicate they are inserting the word "and" because they thought is was a better interpretation, which is why it is in italics. When the HCSB does the same, they put brackets around it. In either case it still says that those in the war zone, in and around Jerusalem, will suffer from lack of water and food. Thus, I really do not understand your point of objection.

You do know that the KJV is NOT at Translation but rather it is a paraphrase of earlier Versions, that info comes from the ORIGINAL 1611 PREFACE, actually confirms that. So I would be careful not to lift the KJV too high on that pedestal.

Truly (good Christian Reader) wee never thought from the beginning, that we should neede to make a new Translation, nor yet to make of a bad one a good one, . . .but to make a good one better, or out of many good ones, one principall good one, not justly to be excepted against; that hath bene our indeavour, that our marke. . . .
King James Version Original Preface
{ That makes it a PARAPHRASE and not an actual Translation from the original languages. }

However, I am not even sure what your objection to the HCSB is, and it is an ACTUAL Translation.

So let me post about three other Translations of that verse and perhaps you could explain specifically what your objections to the New Translations from the Original Languages actually are?

Ezekiel 12:19 (NASB)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] "Then say to the people of the land, 'Thus says the Lord GOD concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem in the land of Israel, "They will eat their bread with anxiety and drink their water with horror, because their land will be stripped of its fullness on account of the violence of all who live in it.

Ezekiel 12:19 (NIV)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] Say to the people of the land: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says about those living in Jerusalem and in the land of Israel: They will eat their food in anxiety and drink their water in despair, for their land will be stripped of everything in it because of the violence of all who live there.

NOW look how Young's Literal Translation words it:

Ezekiel 12:19 (YLT)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] and thou hast said unto the people of the land, Thus said the Lord Jehovah concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem, concerning the land of Israel: Their bread with fear they do eat, and their water with astonishment drink, because its land is desolate, because of its fulness, because of the violence of all who are dwelling in it.

No matter what Translation I read, I still get the exact same message:

Those living in the war zone, in and around Jerusalem, will suffer from lack of water and food.

Thus, I really do not understand your point of objection.

Isa 33:14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting x burnings?

Have always thought you could insert nuclear at the x.
t<><

NO I do not confuse how GOD uses Armies to punish evil, with HIS DIVINE Everlasting Punishment in the Lake of Fire.

Isaiah 13:17-20 (HCSB)
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Look! I am stirring up the Medes{Iran} against them,
who cannot be bought off with silver and who have no desire for gold.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]⌊Their⌋ bows will cut young men to pieces.
They will have no compassion on little ones; they will not look with pity on children. {I have shot several deer with a bow, and NEVER has my arrow done that; so this clearly is symbolism for modern day weapons.}
[SUP]19 [/SUP]And Babylon {Iraq},
the jewel of the kingdoms {it is NOT talking about the city of Babylon, but rather the Kingdom of Babylon}, the glory of the pride of the Chaldeans, will be like Sodom and Gomorrah when God overthrew them.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]It will never be inhabited or lived in from generation to generation;
a nomad will not pitch his tent there, and shepherds will not let ⌊their flocks⌋ rest there.

saying that the city of Jerusalem is [in] the land of Israel is deceptive,

the whole world is decieved about, and is false, and the word [in] should not be used.

the city of Jerusalem is never called the land of Israel.

the city of Jerusalem is currently [in] the [state] of Israel,

not the land of the northern kingdom of Israels used in the bible.

just though i could point this out.

my point was the land of [Israel] northern tribe, is not the city of Jerusalem
The EZ. 12:19 verse is talking about BOTH, and it is not even trying to say the Jerusalem is in the land of the Northern Tribe, so you are literally making a MOUNTAIN out of nothing. NOW it is ALL ISRAEL, and the verse was future prophecy, so NOW it shows the Bible was INSPIRED BY GOD. GOD would have been the ONLY one that would have KNOWN back in Isaiah's day, that in the future the land of Israel would refer to BOTH the Northern Tribe and the Southern Tribe.

THEN: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Now:

prove-all,

I want to THANK YOU for posting that detail. It started me thinking, and I found something VERY PRECIOUS in that verse in EZ. 12:9. IT REALLY IS PROOF THAT GOD INSPIRED THE BIBLE. ONLY HE WOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT ONE DAY JERUSALEM WOULD BE PART OF ISRAEL and it would no longer be called Judah.

Thank you again.

Ezekiel 12:19 (AMP)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] And say to the people of the land, Thus says the Lord God concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem in the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread with fearfulness and drink water with dismay, for their land will be stripped and plundered of all its fullness, because of the violence of all those who dwell in it.

Ezekiel 12:19 (ESV)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] And say to the people of the land, Thus says the Lord GOD concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem in the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread with anxiety, and drink water in dismay. In this way her land will be stripped of all it contains, on account of the violence of all those who dwell in it.

Ezekiel 12:19 (RSV)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] and say of the people of the land, Thus says the Lord GOD concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem in the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread with fearfulness, and drink water in dismay, because their land will be stripped of all it contains, on account of the violence of all those who dwell in it.

Ezekiel 12:19 (NRSV)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] and say to the people of the land, Thus says the Lord God concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem in the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread with fearfulness, and drink their water in dismay, because their land shall be stripped of all it contains, on account of the violence of all those who live in it.

Ezekiel 12:19 (Darby)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] and say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem, in the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread with anxiety, and drink their water with astonishment, because her land shall be left desolate of all that is in it, for the violence of all them that dwell therein.

Ezekiel 12:19 (NCV)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] Then
say to the people of the land: ’This is what the Lord GOD says about the people who live in Jerusalem in the land of Israel: They will eat their food with fear and drink their water in shock, because their land will be stripped bare because of the violence of the people who live in it.

That is precious, the best PROOF that GOD is the AUTHOR, that I have ever seen.

Revelation 8 could be talking about nukes, so could Ezekiel 38 and 39, Revelation 20:8.

I agree, those are other verses I too refer too. But Rev.20:8 is the final War, when the Armies of the World gather to try to STOP CHRIST from coming back.

And there are other verses that could be referring to modern day warfare. Here are a couple examples:

Ezekiel 1:19 (YLT)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] And in the going of the living creatures, the wheels go beside them, and in the living creatures being lifted up from off the earth, lifted up are the wheels.

How would Ezekiel describe a vision of THIS:

[video=youtube;rSm0j_4FJuE]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSm0j_4FJuE[/video]

OR this

Ezekiel 1:13-16 (GW)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] The living creatures looked like burning coals and torches. Fire moved back and forth between the living creatures. The fire was bright, and lightning came out of the fire. {Sounds like the muzzle flash with tracer rounds of a big gun to me.}
[SUP]14 [/SUP] The living creatures ran back and forth like lightning.
[SUP]15 [/SUP] As I looked at the living creatures, I saw a wheel on the ground beside each of them.
[SUP]16 [/SUP] This is how the wheels looked and how they were made: They looked like beryl. All four wheels looked the same. They looked like a wheel within a wheel.

What is Ezekiel looking at? Could it be this, the Army's multipurpose fast moving STRYKER?

And if this TANK can get air, imagine how often the Stryker lifts it's wheels up off the ground in a high speed battle on rough terrain.

no,this is not a man made army

25And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood,
and had let down their wings.

26And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.

27And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.

28As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.

Ezekiel 1 is looking at God and his glorious vehicle he rides,

not a future army at all

3And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.

ezekiel 4, a siege starts, Israel here is not the city of jerusalam or the current state of israel.
but about the lost ten tribes, people scattered around the world, thats like sands on the sea shore.

2And lay siege against it, and build a fort against it, and cast a mount against it; set the camp also against it, and set battering rams against it round about.

a siege is comming on [us], God has set his face againest us, a siege with a pacific time frame.

by the end of this siege from within, one third of us will die,
then the enemy will invade us and kill another third,
then the last third is drug off to be captives.

the siege against the lost ten tribes starts first , and lasts longer then siege againest jerusalem.
this has begun, our comming downfall has been recorded and is started allready

More input:

GOD is Omnipresent, since when does HE ride around in a vehicle, glorious or not?

Like I said: I still think Ezekiel and Isaiah are talking about the exact same War:

Isaiah 13:17-20 (HCSB)
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Look! I am stirring up the Medes{Iran} against them,
who cannot be bought off with silver and who have no desire for gold.

If the Muzzle Flash is that bright in the daylight, imagine what it looks like at night with a glowing tracer round tracking all the way to the target. Which as I pointed out, very accurately describes the last sentence of this verse:

Ezekiel 1:13 (GW)
[SUP]13[/SUP]
The living creatures looked like burning coals and torches. Fire moved back and forth between the living creatures. The fire was bright, and lightning came out of the fire. {Sounds like the muzzle flash with tracer rounds of a big gun to me.}

One other Point, in Ezekiel 12:19, Ezekiel is given a vision and is trying desperately with the help of GOD to describe what he is seeing. If it is the STRYKER or some other mechanized modern day warfare vehicle that he is describing, why did he call them "The living creatures"? That is easy to explain. Ezekiel from his point of reference from his day and age, KNOWS anything with wheels had to pulled by horses or oxen; YET these had NO horses pulling them and were much faster than a Chariot. Because they could move on their own, in Ezekiel's mind, they had to be "living creatures". He could not have understood the living creatures were actually humans inside the vehicles, driving and firing there weapons.

Ezekiel 1:13-16 (GW)
[SUP]13 [/SUP]The living creatures looked like burning coals and torches.

Fire moved back and forth between the living creatures.

The fire was bright, and lightning came out of the fire.
{Sounds like the muzzle flash with tracer rounds of a big gun to me.}
[SUP]14 [/SUP]The living creatures ran back and forth like lightning.

God can do what ever he wants, and since well Ezekiel here is discribing a thing God himself is on.

or was Ezekiel bowing down to a future man made object.

Ezekiel 1:24-25 (NASB)
[SUP]24 [/SUP] I also heard the sound of their wings like the sound of abundant waters as they went, like the voice of the Almighty, a sound of tumult like the sound of an army camp; {Ezekiel had NEVER heard anything like the NOISE of the modern day mechanized ARMY.} whenever they stood still, they dropped their wings.
[SUP]25 [/SUP] And there came a voice from above the expanse {The Atmosphere and Stars of the Universe; the VOICE came from HEAVEN.} that was over their heads; whenever they stood still, they dropped their wings.

You are skipping verses to make it say what you want. It says it is an ARMY, but NOT like any Ezekiel has ever seen before, however GOD IS STILL CONTROLLING THAT ARMY to accomplish HIS purposes. That is the EXACT SAME THING HE SAID in Isaiah 13:17.

BTW, you CANNOT put GOD in any kind of box, especially a vehicle; HE JUST DOES NOT FIT. You seriously NEED to study what all the OMNIPRESENCE of GOD MEANS, and then just sit in AWE of just how BIG GOD really is. Let me help you understand, it does NOT ONLY mean HE is everywhere in every part of Earth, Space, and Heaven all at the same time; it ALSO MEANS He is in every second of TIME at the same time. GOD is NOT a created being traveling through TIME as we know it; He is the CREATOR of TIME as we know it. He declares the END from the Beginning because HE is OMNIPRESENT IN ALL TIME AT THE SAME TIME. HE WROTE our NAMES in the Lamb's Book of Life before the Foundation of the Earth, because HE is OMNIPRESENT IN ALL TIME; thus, HE is present at EVERY CONVERSION all at the same TIME. HE TRULY IS THEE "I AM".

GRASP THAT AND BE AWE STRUCK WORSHIPING HIM.

Ezekiel 1:24-25 (HCSB)
[SUP]24 [/SUP] When they moved, I heard the sound of their wings like the roar of mighty waters, like the voice of the Almighty, and a sound of commotion like the noise of an army. When they stood still, they lowered their wings.
[SUP]25 [/SUP] A voice came from above the expanse over their heads; when they stood still, they lowered their wings.

Ezekiel 1:24-25 (YLT)
[SUP]24 [/SUP] And I hear the noise of their wings, as the noise of many waters, as the noise of the Mighty One, in their going--the noise of tumult, as the noise of a camp, in their standing they let fall their wings.
[SUP]25 [/SUP] And there is a voice from above the expanse, that is above their head: in their standing they let fall their wings.

And what are these that "Drop or Lower or Let Fall their Wings"?

Personally I think it is a symbolism fo "reverently submitting to the Voice of GOD". However if you need to think that it is part of the description of the the Vehicles, how about these: because it is NOTHING NEW TO THE NAVY:

No 666 is not a symbol, it is only a number that identifies a man, IT SAYS SO, read it again.

Greek does not contain the indefinite article (i.e. 'a', or 'an')....thus, this cannot possibly refer to a single person....rather, mankind...

Does the BIBLE describe a coming Nuclear War?

Brother...can you please explain to us exactly how a nuclear missile is able to decipher between The Righteous and the unrighteous?

What discriminative technology is contained within the nosecone of those missiles that allows this divine separation to occur....?

They already have the RFID microchip being tested in Australia on humans for buying and selling as a replacement for anything financial, and it is in some Alzheimer's patients in Florida, and in Canada it is offered as a replacement for bank cards. Those RFID chips can track movement, and can find someone lost, store medical records, and all bank records. The number within the chip is fifteen digits, three groups of five numbers similar to a social security number. Now when this becomes MANDATORY at the orders of a World Dictator, it will be necessary to expand the numbers to identify every individual on the planet and give new ones to future generations, and that most likely in it's final form would be thee groups of six numbers; hence the 6-6-6. That experiment in Australia worked and is being held back as contingency plan for a world-wide economic crisis. The test were ran prior to the year 2000 when all the world thought every computer would shut down when the date within the computers could not compute the year being 2000, triggering the feared world-wide economic crisis. The person that developed the microchip emergency plan was none other than Dr. Henry Kissinger.

Since when are Christians not killed in War? It is talking about the people of the evil nation will be whipped out if they do not flee the country first, while the people of the godly nations will be spared in such a War. The Christians on a battlefield along side their Evil Enemies, certainly will be killed when a NUKE hits in close proximity to them, but they remain eternally alive in heaven with Christ; while the evil dead begin their eternal torment in hades and hell.

LOOK at this again:

Isaiah 13:17-20 (HCSB)
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Look! I am stirring up the Medes{Iran} against them, who cannot be bought off with silver and who have no desire for gold.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]⌊Their⌋ bows will cut young men to pieces.
They will have no compassion on little ones; they will not look with pity on children.

[SUP]19 [/SUP]And Babylon {Iraq},
the jewel of the kingdoms {it is NOT talking about the city of Babylon, but rather the Kingdom of Babylon},
the glory of the pride of the Chaldeans, will be like Sodom and Gomorrah when God overthrew them.

Clearly that enter context is talking about when GOD calls the Iranian Army to attack Iraq. If ISIS takes over all of Iraq, we could be VERY CLOSE to seeing this prophecy fulfilled. BUT LOOK, at the hands of the Iranian Army (who do not know GOD is manipulating them to do HIS Will), they use weapons that will leave IRAQ, Southern Jordan, and Syria (the Babylonian Kingdom) totally destroyed like Sodom and Gomorrah, to where It will never be inhabited or lived in from generation to generation. The ONLY weapons on Earth that can accomplish that are NUCLEAR.
