Ok I will stay on point..SABBATH! or maybe I won't you can be the judge... But to me sabbath is the body or church isn't it?That which we pick a day to practice.
If we do things in the church life by our natural life and strength, we are moving and acting in an organizational way. To clean the meeting hall, for instance, in our natural life according to an outward arrangement is to act in an organizational way. But if we are living in the spirit, in the organic way, contacting God in resurrection, we may have the inner feeling and leading to come to the hall to clean in resurrection by life and not by organization.
The proper way to clean the hall is to do it organically. Under the organizational way, sometimes those who are charged to clean the hall become offended. Whatever we do--whether we clean the hall, preach the gospel, take care of home meetings, or come to the meetings to function--must be altogether organic, not organizational. The way to have proper church life is to move and act in an organic way.
Just something God has put on my mind.

The right way to help the saints get into this practice is to bring them into an organic realization. We should teach them, that is , feed them, with some spiritual nourishment so they can be strengthened and realize they have another life, the life of resurrection.
They need to realize that they can live, walk, and have their being in this life every day and all day.
If they live such a life, they will come to the meeting and open up their mouths organically. Organically they will utter something. You will not need to teach them to say "Hallelujah." They will say "Hallelujah" organically, in the way that comes out of life, not out of arrangement or organization.
The perfecting by the gifted persons is altogether not something organizational but organic.

The Sabbath is a gift from our Father, the reason it's probably so hard for some to keep is probably because of the way the world operates. Like if someone works 7 days a week Sabbath is sixth day even though calender still says 7th. ways of the world. be in the world but not of it.
Interesting point, i'm sure you are aware of several calendar changes that have taken place since the letter of law was written. The question i have asked myself recently is....... does our current calendar reflect the original sabbath ? for example could the 7th day sabbath currently be our Thursday or some totally different day (besides Friday evening until Saturday evening) under the Gregorian?
Even in our work its good to be at rest, but the Word says remember the Sabbath. The only thing i have to remember the Sabbath by is the calender, so if the calender is wrong i'm innocent.
Looking deeper at this whole sabbath subject again.......Could it be that our sabbath rest is solely in Christ and through faith in Christ only and not pertaining to a certain day of the week at all? There appears to be a deeper meaning here. As we grow more in faith daily in Christ Jesus we find our rest in Him, culminating with a rest forever with Christ when our souls go back to Father. We labor through faith to enter into this rest not physical labor but spiritual labor brought about by faith. Perhaps the original 7th day sabbath was a shadow of resting more and more in Christ through the Spirit as our faith and rest in Him continues to grow daily,....... then we eventually find rest through Him and with Him forever.
Isaiah 28:12-13
12To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
13But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
Hebrews 4:3

When you remember the Sabbath you don't think of Christ?

I do have a serious question (if I may change up the tenor of this thread for a moment)
Among the legally Sabbath keeping beliefs, are there no people who work on Saturdays? I mean thousands of jobs often require their people to work on Saturday. This would seem to be a direct and deliberate violation of the practice they seem to hold as one of the primary foundations upon which their beliefs rest.

Please understand the the annual Sabbath is related to Christ's death, and the weekly Sabbath is related to Christ's resurrection. I cannnot understand why you would say the that the observance of the Sabbath deteriorates the thought of Christ.
Again, as I mentioned a few days ago, to use a Gregorian method of determining what is the Sabbath day causes great error.
