I think honesty is best in any relationship...but do it politely and diplomatically. Communication is key in any relationship...please don't say "this tastes awful"

indeed although me personally I don't want to hurt anyones feelings so I would just suck it up and eat it. if she asks me how it tastes I will try to be honest I just always fear of hurting ppls feelings

Just for the record,
Blain and I were only teasing.

We didn't mean anything we said...
no matter how realistic it sounded,
or how convincing it was,
or how much empirical evidence there might be to support it.

It was all just a joke.

And... girls all smell like flowers... and...
they're all delicate and precious... and...
they really ARE made of sugar and spice... and....
every one of them is a princess.

That's what we really meant to say.

Yeah, that is one of my problems too, I am too kind hearted and don't want to hurt feelings. But I just think that if I made something she didn't like, I would want to be told so I wouldn't keep making something like that.

I'd tell the man the truth before we dated....like hey honey I can't cook well. Ya don't have to eat my cooking, that's OK. Would you like me to take a cooking class? I don't get all the disputes couples get into. I mean silly things

Indeed true all true, however it is fun to mess with them sometimes with stereo type woman and man things, luckily the women here have a good sense of humor or else things could have gotten ugly.

Little things shouldn't cause people to fuss. I mean people are insane in the world. The lack of a persons cooking skills are not going to make me angry. Lol...I'd take a bologna sandwich if the mans not gonna punch my face, I mean you know what I'm saying?

Agreed! When I first married my kids' father, I did not cook well. I made chicken soup one evening and put too much celery seed in it. (Why I used celery seed is beyond me!) He took one bite of it at the table, his face froze for a few seconds, then he says, "Wow... this is good." I took a bite and nearly gagged. "This tastes like --- (you know what)!" I screeched. I asked him how come he wasn't honest with me about it and he said he didn't want to hurt my feelings. But when I explained that I wanted to cook things he enjoyed and to tell me when it was gross, he was relieved.
And we laughed for years over it. In fact, sometimes when I would create some new recipe, he'd teasingly ask if I put enough celery seed in it. ROFL!! lmho.png
