Better yet, why are there "C" batteries? Aren't the first three sizes taken up by "A", "AA", and "AAA"? If you're not going to have "B" batteries, then you shouldn't have a "C" either. The next battery after "AAA" ought to be "D."

Yep if you are not driving now this might be the type car for you.They say its safer.Might help with the cost of insurance and bring the number of accidents down,ect... who knows what technology is going to come up with next.

Regarding the "B battery":
Before there were "chips", or even transistors, there were devices called vaccuum tubes which performed the same functions. In order to operate, tubes required two voltages: a low voltage to operate the "filament", or "heater", which generated heat necessary for the tube to operate, and a high voltage which actually did the work.
The low voltage battery in portable radios was called the "A" battery. The high voltage battery was called the "B" battery.
You can't find B batteries anymore because there is no need for them. So
there you have it!
Regarding the unanswered question about battery sizes, "B" size batteries were once relatively common. Old type "B" batteries were once used in tube type portable radios. There was also an "A" battery to power the tube filament. The "B" battery had a relatively high voltage - from 22.5 Volts to over 90 Volts. The "A" battery was a lower voltage battery 1.5 Volts to 9 Volts. You can still find these in antique shops.

A doctor friend told me that it is not possible to sneeze with your eyes open,
that if you could your eye balls would pop out!
I should imagine the first part is correct, would someone like to try the second part and let me know how it goes!

My dog play attacks me when I sneeze and some times he attacks before I even know I am about to sneeze so I am going to keep my eyes open double wide next time and Ill let you know. Hey maybe that's where Barney Google got his goo goo googely eyes....never mind you wouldn't know who he was.

My dog let me know I was about to sneeze last night so I held my eyes open with my fingers and I am pretty sure they did not pop out. Sorry, no pictures. My wife gave me a quick haircut the other day without wearing her glasses which did cause me a little fear, particularly when she trimmed around my ears. I was going to ask her if she noticed any excessive ear wax flow but decided the health of my earlobe was ,more important.PS. He also told me it's not possible to tickle yourself and also when you are afraid you produce more ear wax.
so if you are gonna try the eyeball thing, you might want to test the other two out as well.
Oh and do send some pictures
You have a very informative doctor. The only trivia knowledge my doctor ever told me was that, where he came from, a good whack from a bible was used on occasion to resolve the carpal tunnel bump that I had on my wrist.

Next time ask her to trim your hair with the garden shears without her glasses, then ask if she can see extra ear wax! That's assuming your head is still attached. You might have bigger problems than ear wax if it isn't!
Ps didn't your wife wonder why you were trying to prise your eyes open.
It was a doctor friend that told me these things rather than my own GP - but my own GP has got a zany sense of humour also.
