First of all... if anyone lacks wisdom, God said to ask Him and He will give you wisdom. He promised not to withhold it. Another thing, unless God call you (or unless God sees that you have genuinely softened your heart to receive Him), you'll never get it. Because the carnal (intellectual) mind cannot grasp the LORD. So all the dialoguing about technicalities in the Scripture will never get you one step closer to knowing Jesus Christ intimately. You're just kicking up the dust of wood, hay & stubble.

If you really want to understand the Word of God, you need to talk to Him directly and then open your ears.

The LORD's will be done.

As the leaves may fall and the dust may rise.
So then someday soon even death may die.​

As you wish. It looks to me like you are not looking for answers. It looks to me like you have already made up your mind about this and are really not interested in entering into serious examination of these things. Well... if you have dismissed belief in God... that makes you an atheist.

3. I stated very clearly there is a PLETHORA of resources to answers ALL OF YOUR QUESTIONS, if you actually want answers. But you don't seem interested in genuine answers... just debate.

4. If you want to disbelieve, that's fine.
That's your prerogative.
If you want answers, there are countless books, articles, websites, and videos available... by lots of guys with PhDs... on topics as diverse as theology, philosophy, history, archaeology, paleontology, physics, astronomy, geology, chemistry, biology, microbiology... and on and on and on.
Take your pick.

All the answers are there if you are actually serious about any of this.

If you're serious about getting answers, the answers are available.

If you're serious about answers, it's all there for you if you go study, and do your homework.

Most people aren't serious.

Most people don't want answers.

you realize that 70,000 doesn't come close to the number of species on this world. closer to 8 million.

The bible tells us that one pair of each "kind" were taken onto the ark, not one of each each species. Of course this opens up an even greater discussion regarding macro/micro evolution, the age of the earth etc. The bottom line is you either believe God's word or you don't.

Right now the latest evidence even calls into doubt the big bang theory. The fact is it's unlikely that man will ever be able to prove the existence (or not) of God during his short time on earth. I believe that God intended this to be the case because to Him faith is the key to knowing Him and not "proof". Throughout the Old and New Testaments the ongoing theme is "Faith".

i'm just trying to understand. If god set all things into motion, then the events which eventually lead to noah's ark, devils, and demons were all his plan. It is up to me to wade through all of that complexity and discover what he really meant for the truth to be. seems unnecessarily convoluted. I'm just a stray. Hoping to find my way back.

It is not up to you to read mans explantion of what God has done. The only logical explanation for you being here, being alive, being as complex of a carbon based life form as you are, is God.
Do yourself a favor and read about how the eye works. Evolution? Pure garbage. All creation testifies of a creator, and that creator has to be God.
Stop reading things that are designed to make you reject God. When man can prove to me that God DIDN'T create man, then will I believe otherwise, and only then.
Know what? It can't be done. Life didn't evolve from an inert object, which someone that rejects God would have you believe.

Don't resign yourself to eternal damnation. That's a pity party no one wants to attend. Look in the mirror and come up with an explanation, aside from God, as to how that image, with all its majesty in design and intricate marvelous workings came to be. You can't.

You see I am a very logical person. So when stories like Noah's Ark are presented to me, I tend over analyze them. I read this article:

It makes perfect sense. I'm not trying to troll. I just can't reconcile certain beliefs with the physical possibilities of reality.

There is plenty of evidence to support that God exists....I couldn't read much of that article, it had too many assumptions and not enough scientific facts at the beginning....it basically said the ark could not have been built because Noah was not smart enough....
1) we can't prove that even though they tried
2) who said God wasn't smart enough?

I guess I'm just trying to understand why empirical evidence exists if it contradicts the bible. Did the devil create it to confuse us? But wouldn't that mean that it was all part of God's plan. Why would God want to purposely confuse us?

What evidence are you talking about? I think you are getting confused when it comes to free will. There are people who try their best to make it so you wont believe. There have been atheists who set out to prove Christianity was wrong and ended up becoming a Christian. I believe Lee Strobel is one of them. You have to be very careful when looking at what some call scientific facts, dig into how they came to this conclusion...sometimes they use circular reasoning or other fallacies...

I agree certain "eternal moral truths' seem important, but when other parts conflict with what i feel to be true.............well then i'd rather trust in myself than the bible.

you need to read more about ship building. the bible states the ark was build from wood. the reason modern ships aren't build from wood is because the wood cannot support the weight of the ship. even our largest ships today could not contain 2 of each species of life.
