There are many misconceived ideas about what actually took place in the bible.
For example, many believe that Adam and Eve ate an apple, when the bible doesn't say. Or that Jesus died on Friday and was raised on Sunday. How do you get three days and nights out of that. My wife figured that one out when she was just 6 years of age.
Would anybody else like to give some misconceptions that took place in the bible?
Gen. 1:3

God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.

The evening was the beginning of the day. Jesus died at noon, thus previous day. We'd call that Day Friday. The Jews would not. (I don't know the Hebrew names of the week, but in our language it would be Thursday.

So Jesus died on Thursday. 1.

He stayed dead on Friday. 2.

He stayed dead for half of Sunday. 3.

2.5 - 2.75 days? Round it up and...

Misconception -- we think days start at midnight.

Misconception -- we think Eve talked to a snake. (Might not have even been a serpent.)

Misconception -- We think Noah and his family were in that boat for 40 days. Nope. 13 months.
Misconception -- Sodom and Gomorrah were well salted for homosexual sin. Nope. All kinds of sin.

Misconception -- the Israelites were worshiping a golden calf as another God. Nope. They just wanted something to represent the God on the mountain with Moses right above them. They simply didn't believe or played some kind of game about that commandment of no images. God made them swallow the calf though after it was grounded to dust.
Misconception -- the Israelites were shepherds. Some were. Others were fine craftmans. Despite not fighting for 440 years, they also knew how to swing a blade well. They probably got their armor and weapons from dead Egyptians that washed up on the shores.
Misconception -- Man can't live in a fish for a day, once more three days. There have been two confirmed cases in the last 120 years where a man was swallowed by a fish and then regurgitated near land a day later. Another case where a man was swallowed by a whale rescued, by accident, by another boat close to two days later. (They didn't know a man was in the whale, but they wanted, and got, that whale.)
