That is true. It appears that these "Ten Words" of God include 4 chapters from Exodus 20 through 23. And yes, Jesus gave them to Moses. There are more definitive instruction concerning love through the scriptures including the writings of the apostles. Jesus said man will live by every word that God speaks.

No, Jesus said to keep His commandments- not Moses's commandments. (Romans 7:1-4, Matthew 28:18). All the word of God comes from God, yes, but it does matter what time frame you live in whether you are under the physical version of God's covenant, or the spiritual version. The physical was in the Old Testament under Moses, the spiritual is in the New Testament under Christ. We are dead to the authority of Moses and are to obey Christ only.

I counted them and got a thumb left over.

Colossians 2:16-17 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Romans 14:5-6 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

Yes. When Moses saw it, he wondered at the sight: and as he drew near to behold it, the voice of the Lord came unto him,
[SUP]32[/SUP] Saying, I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Then Moses trembled, and durst not behold.
[SUP]33[/SUP] Then said the Lord to him, Put off thy shoes from thy feet: for the place where thou standest is holy ground.

[SUP]37[/SUP] This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear. (Speaking of Jesus)
[SUP]38[/SUP] This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel (Jesus) Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen.
[SUP]45[/SUP] Which also our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drave out before the face of our fathers, unto the days of David;which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:
[SUP]39[/SUP] To whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust him from them, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt,

but that doesn't mean that Jesus was talking about the 10 commandments in the New testament when He said "keep my commandments". He was talking about the New commandment that He gave His disciples to obey. It's what the New Testament of His blood is based on, love, mercy, and forgiveness.

[SUP]4[/SUP] A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

[SUP]12[/SUP] This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

[SUP]17[/SUP] These things I command you, that ye love one another.

John 12:49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
John 12:50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
John 14:11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

Luke 10:27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

Deuteronomy 6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Leviticus 19:18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

Matthew 5:21-48 Jesus speaks of 6 commandments: (More in other places, such as the account of the rich young ruler.)(Matt 19)

  • Do not murder (Jesus explains further)
  • Do not commit adultery (Jesus explains further)
  • Anyone who divorces his wife (Adultery) (because of the hardness of hearts, wasn't so from the beginning.)(Also spoken in Matt 19:8)
  • Do not break your oath
  • Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth (Turning the other cheek)
  • Love your neighbor and hate your enemy (Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you and persecute you.)

He's been speaking since the beginning...

P.S. Paul speaks of the commandments too, even making a point of one being the first with promise.

Yes i fully agree,
Paul said, no one judge you about sabbaths, (one of the ten commandments)

Colossians 2
[SUP]14 [/SUP]having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. [SUP]15 [/SUP]And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.[SUP][e][/SUP] [SUP]16 [/SUP]Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day

Galatians 1
[SUP]6 [/SUP]I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— [SUP]7 [/SUP]which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. [SUP]8 [/SUP]But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!

Galatians 3
You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified. [SUP]2 [/SUP]I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard? [SUP]3 [/SUP]Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh?
.....

[SUP]23 [/SUP]Before the coming of this faith,[SUP][j][/SUP] we were held in custody under the law, locked up until the faith that was to come would be revealed. [SUP]24 [/SUP]So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith. [SUP]25 [/SUP]Now that this faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.

There is many more verses like acts 15,

In wich is shown the law of Jesus is not the 10 commandments. and the ideas is that the whole of the moses law was declared null and nailed in the cross, including the 10 commandments.

[h=1]1 John 5:1-5New King James Version (NKJV)[/h] 5 Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. [SUP]2 [/SUP]By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. [SUP]3 [/SUP]For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. [SUP]4 [/SUP]For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our[SUP][a][/SUP] faith. [SUP]5 [/SUP]Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

Yes, Love God and your neighbour is Jesus commandment, and the laws of moses are out of the picture.
