Thanks. If I could just get her married off now I would be a happy man.
My dad says the same thing about me. He wants me to be married and gone, so he can come over to my place for dinner because my mom doesn't cook very well. I take that as a compliment and I would never tell my mom that my dad told that to me.

I also want to have a choice in the matter of a husband.

Happy but broke. Take it from an old pro. Just bribe her to elope.
Well, I have never like doing weddings, although I have done my share. But, there are some weddings I would miss not doing.

Yea, I always cry at weddings. I can't help it. I just feel so sorry for them.
They don't know what they are getting in to? You feel sorry for them, yet you want your daughter married? I feel sorry for your daughter....:p

Put her on for a minute and we will tell her :p

I also want to have a choice in the matter of a husband.
If that husband really loves you, he would love your dad (and mom) as well. He's simply concerned on that, to the point he "lies" saying "I'll be there for dinner".
Do you really think your dad loves you for being a good cook?

We, as dads, developed a special feeling for our daughters and, after we have got one man in the family, the moment we overcome several fears for having a daughter, we fall in love when we see them they're not a risk or too dangerous, as we (I, instead) thought a girl in the family would be.

I was AFRAID of having daughters!

I spent a full year to accept the blond one I firstly got (she passed away) and the 2nd was (and is) a JOY for me.

Ellie, I forgot to tell you about something I got myself today. You know how I was devastated when I broke my sterling silver chain and couldn't replace it. Well, I finally was able to find one and I got it 75% off because it was on clearance. It just made my day.:)

My sister's are all married and everyone is telling me I am the only one left.....My pastor even wanted to set me up on a date with some woman he knew from the state police....does everyone else get people trying to set them up on dates?

Has anyone ever had a nightmare taxi ride before? One time I went to Boston by airplane, so I had to take a taxi.....I was so happy when we got out at the hospital...the guy took a turn on two wheels, almost hit a person, and a lot of other crazy things....

No but I was heading to Toronto one time on the Greyhound bus and we were on highway 401 (Crazy crazy highway) and the driver kept falling asleep at the wheel and everyone was screaming as we were veering off the road!!!!! That was terrifying!!!!!
