mom, if you ever go to the hospital, request an experienced person to draw blood....don't let students practice on you.....I have a few stories that I wont share to save you all from being scared....

righto... off to other interesting topics...
i hope you understand, though you are welcome to speak your mind,

it might be best to begin a BDF thread on the topic of tattoos.

you'll find many who agree with you, and many who would be willing to argue. :)

Needles are my middle name! I was on a daily injectable needle, plus another weekly needle for 5 years, self injected. Then monthly liver tests, meant blood draws monthly for about 15 years. One time, my arm was hurting after a blood draw, and I walked all the way from the hospital lab to my car in the parking lot, telling myself it was just a little hole, and it didn't hurt.

When I went to get my keys, my entire arm was covered with blood and it was running down onto my pants, as the little hole had failed to close. LOL After that, I paid more attention to care of the vein after giving my blood.

But I would not let anyone inject dye into my skin with a needle. That is a whole different level of masochism. It is one thing to take needles to get a disease under control, and another to let someone idly draw pics that are going to be there for a life time.

As for blood draws being pagan, that sounds much to JW to me! What the Bible is talking about is something totally different than getting blood to save your life.

I have had to get blood draws multiple times a day, then it went to twice a week, it has worked its way to every 6 weeks now...:)
It is a miracle I am still alive....I did so much with a hemoglobin of 4.0, very low platelets and like no white blood....I don't think my doctor will forget this story....I drove myself to college, then to his office because I felt dizzy....lol
I almost went to work, but God was telling me to go see my doctor....

So....I saw my grandma today in her assisted living facility and the bruising around her eyes are healing rather quickly. The only thing though is she kept talking of family that has already passed on and talking about going home. It is so hard to watch the strongest and independent woman I know not remembering who I am and even remembering the special times I shared with her.

I wasn't real close with him... but at the same time... this is 8 month anniversary of when my dad passed away.... so today and tomorrow are hard on me enough as it is... and now to top it off my uncle passed. Dang... :(
My dearest uncle died after my dad, shortly after and I couldn´t come on time to hug and kiss him goodbye.

After his funeral I picked two seeds of a tree where I was and, several years now, those two grown-up trees remind me of good memories I have.

My first foster father (whom God & I consider my real father) died when I was 13 way back in 1970. He loved mimosa trees and I keep dried mimosa pods in a jar in his memory.

Well!

I must confess I wish the time were still and more slow.

There are unique things I regret loosing and leaving.

Ecc 3:1 Everything on earth has its own time and its own season.

Ecc 3:11 God makes everything happen at the right time. Yet none of us can ever fully understand all he has done, and he puts questions in our minds about the past and the future.
Ecc 3:12 I know the best thing we can do is to always enjoy life,
Ecc 3:13 because God's gift to us is the happiness we get from our food and drink and from the work we do.
Ecc 3:14 Everything God has done will last forever; nothing he does can ever be changed. God has done all this, so that we will worship him.
Ecc 3:15 Everything that happens has happened before, and all that will be has already been-- God does everything over and over again.

Yesterday it was somewhat windy, because it looks like rain and I saw seeds like those being tossed away from a little tree (not exactly like that). What surprised me a lot it was the distance it reached from the hill I was observing (they travelled almost 100 meters)

The unanswered thought:

Is it the way God uses people´s lives to plant His love seeds everywhere?

´cause we´re tossed back and forth, sometimes.

Amen! That's an awesome analogy. I love trees. My favorite sound in the world is the wind blowing and rustling the leaves in a tree. I always enjoyed lying under a tree and watching the sun filtering through the branches while the wind breezes through.

We used to sing a song in church based on Isaiah 55:12 "You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands." That's an awesome song! And sometimes I sing it when I see the tree branches swaying in the wind. :)
