So if you are not under the Law, does that mean you are in lawelessness?

No law means no need for judgement. In a world with no laws there would be no need for a courthouse and judge because no one can break any laws (there is non to break). With no law we don't need to stand before God, no need for judgement. We do stand before God and are judged, hopefully as righteous (perfect, law abiding, obeying the law without fault), because Jesus covers us with His perfect blood (perfectly law abiding) and counts us as righteous. Not by my works, i am not under the law because i am unrighteous, the consequences of breaking the law is death, but faith in the grace of Jesus makes us free from the law that condemns us. We are not under the law but i love to live like Jesus and keep the law, and i want to obey it not to be saved but because i have been saved (love response John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments). If the spirit that controlled Jesus controls me, i will obey the law.
Rom_4:15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.
Rom_7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

To be obedient to the word of God does not make you legalistic.

You want to continue debating being sinless my friend? Or are you wanting to debate the law itself? I may not be under the laws tight grip and I may be under grace but I still respect his law and follow it the best I can because I love him not because I feel I have too.
So the axe murdering serial killer who spares your life because he loves you is a good guy? Sorry, I am not buying your version of morality. Any doctrine that allows a person to potentially get away with evil is wrong and you know it. If one is not punished for being lawless, then that would make God unjust.

Lawlessness is NOT SUBMITTING TO THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD , which is FOUND oustide the Law, Faith in Christ, God manfiest in the flesh, faith in His Work at the tree.. so very simple, if one Is Truly not under the Law , then he/she is GENUINELY saved, In Christ, because they have submitted to the standard God has set up thru His Son, the Gift of Righteousness, which is by Faith in Christ. thats a Gift, you dont earn it, dont 'work ' for it, dont buy it, its a Gift that is Granted Freely.... man is Lawless in the fact that he /she DOES not submit to the Righteousness of God which is by Faith only! the lawless ones, will claim christ yet still attempt to be justified by the Law and follow it, and 'work' for their salvation, that is Error, and the Word calls that the Works of the Flesh, and by the works of the flesh, shall no person be justified before God! Jason your purdy cunning at your wording, continue on wayward son, maybe God will grant you the Knowledge of Him unto repentance.. I sure hope so! He did Saul of Tarsus, wow! He is ABLE!
THIS is exactly why Jesus turned to the Religious leaders of His day and told them point blank to theIR face, the harlots, tax collectors, drunkards, fornicators, thieves, murderers, etc.. GO INTO THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN BEFORE YOU DO.. why? because they Beleived on Christ , who He was, those who God Called . The religious leaders, were working there way to Heaven, unable to 'see' nor 'understANd' the Righteousness of God WHICH was standing before them! it was Hidden from them... but revealed to those who God would call.... zeal for God... the right zeal or the Wrong Zeal.... the Works of the Law + Christ, wont get you there.. DANGEROUS GROUND!
Grace is Christ on a cross...the fulfillment of the law. Not grace is the reason my current and ongoing sins are covered in Gods forgiveness!
We are free from the law because Christ is the one doing the work in me...for He has already done the work before me, thus now I can adopt His history as God has offered it to me. As I accept, The burden, becomes freedom from the law... for I live in the Spirit of God to finish the work set out thru Christ to be the mark of my existence. God pre-invisioned that mark for me, and enabled it to come to be realized ...as the measure of faith in me to attach myself to Christ's History of victory.....is played out in the chapters of my life.

Awesome Christian posts to this question. Which was not a real question from Jason, but more of a mocking question to the true Christians who understand grace.
Jason, your heart is so hardened, what happened to you in your life. I have read so many of your posts, and it is clear that you have chosen the path under the law. Did something real evil happen to you, or were you brought up in a mind controlling cult.
I am in Christ and he is in me. I have no desire to do any of the evil things you listed, not because i am forced not to do them, but because i have no desire to do them because of the unconditional love God has for me in knowing i am already forgiven.
If we agree there is no way any of us can ever measure up or are worthy of God's love and forgiveness as it is written, then how would it be possible to be judged by God on our works. This doesn't make sense. No amount of goodness, no amount of works following the law would ever allow us passage into heaven.
Understanding the freedom from being judged for your sins when you are in Christ, makes you want to do amazing good things on your own free will, and i believe this is the understanding God truly wants us to experience through the spirit of the word.
I will pray that the lord opens your heart to the spirit of grace and closes your mind to the flesh of the law, Jason.

People are missing what the scripture is talking about. The whole chapter of Romans 6 talks about being dead to sin. The Law we are no longer under is the law at work waging war against the law of our minds. By this law being defeated by the cross, this allows us to fulfill God's law, which does no harm to its neighbor. Huge difference, and so easily taken out of context. Christ did not destroy the Law he came to fulfill, he destroyed sin, which is exactly why he says we are under Grace. We are not under the law that wages war against the law written on our hearts and minds, by Grace we are saved, and now can over come that power that was once over us.
Everyone of His Genuine Converts, He ordained for Salvation, to be Conformed to the Image of His Son, the merits of Salvation are IN HIM AND ON HIM... man tries in his/her religious pride to climb up some other way, those are thieves and robbers.. Predestinated to Know Him, not based on your merits or qualities, but Solely on the Foundation and Merits in God.. Chosen in Him, indeed... before Time and Dirt Were Created! that's why Paul wrote,
Therefore I ENDURE all things, for the Elect's sake, that they also may OBTAIN THE SALVATION which is in Christ Jesus with Eternal Glory.. 2 Timothy 2
notice Paul is talking about a future Salvation for Some who would Obtain that Salvation, not based on their works but because the Father had decreed it... somebody who is ELECT, would not need to OBTAIN THE SALVATION, because God had already found them, and Granted them the Salvation Freely.. so Paul endured so that those 'future Elect' , some not all would 'hear the Word' of God he was called to Preach as God Himself was drawing them in... indeed!
Galatians 5:10-12
[SUP]10 [/SUP]For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

If you are under the law, attempting to work at it by your carnal understanding, you are under the curse.
So how do you come out from under this curse and into blessing and Life?
Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
