Paragraph 970 is the section
mattp,

I thank you for addressing my questions. Would you object to possibly going to a thread and beginning a discussion that is more centered and focused. We can establish rules and parameters.

In the mean time, I will go over and check 970.

I appreciate your follow-up.

Oh mw, is that your response, your answer to Jesus' words "Call no man father"? Is that it? Amazing.

Your interpretation of Paul's words to Timothy would have Paul contradicting the Lord. And you are comfortable with that?

This is absolutely pathetic. Absurd.

No wonder there's no progress toward clarity and reason in this thread. Just throw stuff out there without thinking about it.

Here's a question: Why do you believe the Bible is inspired by God?
I do believe the bible is inspired by God. It is what i was taught since i was a kid. I have no reason to believe other wise. I have watched these shows on the so-called missing books of the bible and they cant be authenticated. I believe the Church gave us the correct bible, not the so-called KJV which has several books missing. And yes, I have read the whole bible several times, but in no way am i an expert

I have visited several protestant churches in this area and i see no reverence for God. I see rock concerts and a lot of emotion, but no real worship. I guess this happens when man thinks he knows better than God. The Mass is virtually unchanged for hundreds and hundreds of years and is still, imo, the proper way to worship

I agree that the rock concerts are wrong but the ritualized RCC is no better just different.

Sin is still the same but salvation will never change. Jesus said ye must be born again to see the kingdom of God.

John 3:15-21 Golden text of the bible.

"Several" is not "All."

I see rock concerts and a lot of emotion, but no real worship. I guess this happens when man thinks he knows better than God.
I understand. I do. A simple reading of the OT will reveal that we are to be in awe of God, to revere and honor Him. He is God. He is Holy.
Many who profess to believe in Jesus Christ could careless about Bible doctrine. I know this to be true.
Bible study is a thing of the past in many churches. Wishy-washy feel good motivational talks. It is sickening to see what was once for the Lord has become nothing more than entertainment centers.

But mw Catholicism is not right just because of some sin among non-Catholics. My sin does not make you or anyone else righteous.

Will respond more later.

Thank you

the missing books which you claim are in fact books which were not accepted by Jesus as Scripture. they are mainly the equivalent of fairy tales.

in other word you are not born from above in the way described in Scripture. You believe in baptismal regeneration which is unscriptural and ineffective.

you need to repent and come to Jesus Christ seeking for Him to become your personal Saviour. Call on Him for forgiveness and a new life, and genuinely open your life to Him. Then you will be born of the Spirit. (John 1.12-13; 3.1-6; 2 Cor 5.17; 1 Pet 1.22-23)

OK the Mass has been wrong for hundreds and hundreds of years. How does that make it right? It is based on unscriptural premises. Besides I will guarantee that your version of the mass is not that old.

Do not judge the worship of others. Who are you to say what is true worship? In the Old Testament singing and dancing and playing numerous instruments was the accepted way of worship. Nor should you judge the world by America. Some Americans tend to go to extremes.

Jesus talked about worship in private, giving in secret, the attitude of the heart.
In the catholic expression, it is the symbolism which is made into an idol, where the integrity or otherwise of the participants becomes irrelevent. In one sense there is great strength in consistency, one set of ceremonies, words, repetition, but if it does not stir the heart, or free the spirit it is just a painting, though beautiful without life.

Funnily protestant churches, in fact all human expression can end up being just a husk with no seed. Jesus called this hypocracy. I have worked with christian catholics who I would call brothers, and those who would look at me with hatred, which is crazy. I have seen hindus worship statues in the same way some catholics pray before saints, mary etc. but I know it is just an expression of the emptiness within and the grasping at straws.

So I see real worship in protestant and catholic congregations, but differing expressions, and also heresy.
Jesus talked about not pulling up the weeds in case you damage the good seed. So unless there is obvious error, find the good you can wherever you are, the Lord will lead you through.

what the protestants think is not a concern here. rcc catholicism is always a lie, a heresy, a demonic deception. when you or the other ones who believe in heresy claim someone else is wrong, that in no

way changes rcc to anything other then heresy - rcc always has been heresy, regardless of the whole worlds 'opinion'.

as long as you rely on man's 'opinion' you are and remain cursed by yahweh because he says in HIS WORD that anyone who trusts in man's opinion HE CURSES.

you (don't) see, HIS WORD IS TRUE, and the rcc is completely contrary to , opposed to, and never accepts HIS WORD. (THE SCRIPTURES).

as a priest who got saved has written: >>

"Our Great and Merciful God, who, many times, has made the very sins and errors of His people to work
for good, caused that public iniquity of the priest to remove the scales from many eyes, and prepare
them to receive the light, which was already dawning at the horizon. A voice from heaven was as if
heard by many of us. "Do you not see that in your Church of Rome, you do not follow the Word of God,
but the lying traditions of men? Is it not evident that your priests' celibacy is a snare and an institution of
Satan?"

Many asked me to show them in the Gospel where Christ had established the law of celibacy. "I will do
better," I added, "I will put the Gospel in your hands, and you will look for yourselves in that holy book,
what is said on that matter." The very same day I ordered a merchant, from Montreal, to send me a large
box filled with New Testaments, printed by the order of the Archbishop of Quebec; and on the 25th as
many from New York. Very soon it was known by every one of my immigrants that not only had Jesus
never forbidden His apostles and priests to marry, but he had left them free to have their wives, and live
with them, according to the very testimony of Paul. "Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife, as
well as other apostles, and as the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas? (1 Cor. ix. 5); they saw, by their
Gospel, that the doctrine of celibacy of the priests was not brought from heaven by Christ, but had been
forged in darkness, to add to the miseries of man. They read and read over again these words of Christ:
"If ye continue in My word, then are ye My disciples indeed. And ye shall know the truth, and the truth
shall make you free.... If the Son, therefore, shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." (John viii. 31,
32, 36). "

https://sunandshield.wordpress.com/...s-never-told-me-about-lincolns-assassination/

"So that night, Chiniquy prayed and cried out to God from 11 pm to 3 am. He got his breakthrough that night. Lincoln knocked on his door at 3 am and gave him good news. A witness came forward named Philomene Moffatt who related to Lincoln and gave sworn testimony that she witnessed firsthand the plot to destroy Chiniquy. After reading the Chicago newspapers which predicted Chiniquy would surely be found guilty, Miss Moffatt took a train from Chicago to Urbana to tell everything she knew when she saw Spink and the priests concocting their schemes.

Later that day Spink dropped his suit and Lincoln gave his comments in court on how evil and upsetting the plot against Chiniquy was. With the trial over, there was much rejoicing but it was soon overshadowed by another reality. Chiniquy knew that things would not go well for Lincoln’s future because there were several high ranking Jesuits from Chicago and St. Louis in the courtroom who were clearly enraged at the turn of events and at Lincoln putting them to open shame in a public courtroom. Chiniquy warned Lincoln to be careful and that he feared for Lincoln’s life, to which Lincoln replied, “I know that Jesuits never forget nor forsake. But man must not care how and where he dies, provided he dies at the post of honor and duty.”5"

... ... .. "... ////
papal Rome had always hated the U.S. because of our Constitution and the liberties that are guaranteed by it. These liberties stand in the way of their quest for unfettered power over the masses. So the destruction of America as a democratic republic has been one of its main goals. When Abraham Lincoln ran for President, Rome was enraged and flooded the American media with all of the negative views they could muster against their enemy Lincoln. Nevertheless, Lincoln became President in 1861. The papacy then instituted a backup plan by urging the Southern states of the U.S. to secede and attack the North with devoted Catholic Jefferson Davis as their president. The Pope was the only world leader at the time to recognize Jefferson Davis as leader of a legitimate government. With the papacy promising to back their efforts, General Beauregard fired the first shot of America’s Civil War on April 12, 1861 at Fort Sumter. This was the papacy’s chance to rid the world of the United States, or so they thought."

....
"Chiniquy, having connections to Rome in the 1860s even though he had surrendered his life to Christ and had become Protestant, was able to uncover several plots by the Jesuits against President Lincoln and was able to warn him. In the meantime, the Jesuits ran a campaign of misinformation in American newspapers by saying Lincoln was born Roman Catholic and was baptized by a priest. Lincoln, of course, was never Catholic, but Chiniquy revealed to Lincoln that the reason behind the stories was that the canons of the Roman Catholic Church stated it was perfectly fine for any Catholic to murder anyone who had defected from the Catholic Church. This was, in effect, a call for any Catholic fanatic to kill the President."
