All of the above places are in the Islamic world. So, which religion would the above regions be trading with and sad if their buyer, MECCA, is destroyed? 1. There are no kings following Judaism. Legalistic Judaism is one of the smallest faiths on earth, less than 1/4 of 1%.
2. The Merchants of the Earth have not gotten rich on selling to Israel.
3. These Merchants would not mourn if something bad happened to Israel, they would delight.
4. Jerusalem is not utterly destroyed and thrown into the sea as she is standing when Christ returns.
5. Jerusalem does not become desolate, to never be inhabited again. Christ reigns from there.
The reference to Hagar in Gal 4 is:

The system that was created/adopted by their ancestors is Babylon, and currently runs the world through secret societies and "mystery religions" spread throughout governments and principalities. The bondwoman is all those enslaved to the Law. Paul clearly accuses Judaism (unbelieving Jews) as also being children of Hagar. There will be a Remnant, but the rest will be cut off from the living during the Trib and Wrath. All those left in Israel will be True Israel: born again believers.

Every place mentioned that comes up against Israel is ISLAMIC. So why would we think the false religion is Catholic when not one Catholic Nation is mentioned as an enemy to Israel in the end times?

Any religion that does not acknowledge that God is the creator of the universe and everything within it and that He gave His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins to provide salvation for those who believe, is a false religion.
Harlotry is the worship of any false religion. Most Jews acknowledge the true God, they just missed the Messiah because they didn't understand the signs and purpose of His original appearance. They were looking at the Messiah to come and establish His kingdom on earth and defeat their enemies. They didn't see that there were two separate returns with two separate missions/purposes.
However, there is only one MOTHER of all FALSE RELIGIONS and that religion is not Catholic and it is not Judaism as both of these acknowledge the true God. Rather, the Mother of all False Religions is ISLAM as it has a replacement god, and denies the existence of the Son. ISLAM is bigger than Catholic and Judaism combined. It's followers are the historical adversaries of Israel and they hate and vow to kill ANY follower of the true God, Jews and Christians alike.
You and Jackson have the answer right in front of you like a pink elephant in the room yet neither of you can see it. I don't know, maybe it is so obvious that you are both over thinking it. The largest religion in the world which goes around beheading Christians and is located where the final beast is said to come against Israel should make a pretty compelling case for any neutral observer, but I guess not for you too. If they acknowledged the True God, then they would acknowledge the Son. There is no acknowledgement of one without the other.
Being a theist does not mean that their one god is the True God.
Harlotry is mixing the truth with lies. Yes, it is all false religions, but it doesn't start in the early centuries AD with Islam or Catholicism,
but in the BC... right from the very beginning when man began trying to build their own tower (system) to reach God.

If you do a side by side comparison of RCC, Judaism, and Islam, you will find they are not so different in their attempts to reach God by human works.
Newspaper hermeneutic creates false assumptions. You are having to distort the physical placement of Babylon to match what you learn from the media. Ask how many major media groups are not owned by the same 3 corporations. Then ask which people run those 3 corporations, and you find that the same people run all 3.
Instead of interpreting the world through the lense of the distorted media,
get your answer from the Word first, and THEN try to look at how it matches the world around you.
We can't get the answer from the world, and then force it into Scripture.

Scripture has given the answer but your prospective as an American who probably hasn't travel the world and experienced all the cultures I have experienced gives you a very narrow prospective. You read prophesy and think it applies to the USA and to us when in reality most of it applies to the old world. The world's top power brokers aren't shaping events as much as you think.
The Rupert Murdocks and Warren Buffets of the world will have virtually nothing to do with the coming Tribulation. They, along with the Pope and other boogie men you conjure up serve only to distract you and get you to take your eye off the ball. The average Jew and Middle Eastern Islamist isn't influenced one little bit by those guys. They are ideologically driven following and serving Satan's false religion, which basically means they are worshiping Satan and his demons just as we are told in Rev 9.
The USA is nothing more than a blip in history with possibly only one little mention in the Bible. Whereas the Bible, especially the OT, was written to and about the Jews (again mostly when it comes to prophesy).
There are no locations or nations in prophesy mentioned by name outside of the general area of Israel with Spain being probably the furthest out. Satan's Great Tribulation does appear to be global but we have almost ZERO information about any westerners being key figures. Their money and influence are nominal at best when you get right down to it concerning Israel and the Islamic world and what is coming.

The identity of the Harlot appears to come down to the following choices that have been popularized in sermons and on these pages:
1) Catholicism
2) Judaism
3) Islam
4) Unknown future world religion
We have many, many clues. Judaism doesn't have anywhere near the number of followers nor is it likely that anyone would be beheaded if they don't covert to Judaism. We are told the location of the Harlot is in the desert and that she is riding a group of nations north of Israel. The "Kings of the Earth" would delight if Judaism went away, they would not weep. There is only one nation following Judaism and she is headquartered in Israel, not north of Israel. Of the 4 choices above, Judaism is by far the weakest candidate.
The HQ for Catholics is Rome which is located West, Northwest of Israel and not North. Today Catholics are peaceful and showing no signs of beheading people who refuse to covert. All of the key descriptions fit ISLAM and only ISLAM as the Harlot.
