15. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the vain glory of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. (1 John 2:15-17)

Like we all know, that today's christianity fails badly in this doctrine, and we may say that the churches of today teach to love world, and lead the man away from the true knowledge of God.

"If any man love the world, the love of the father is not in him"

Do not deceive your selves.

turn to jesus. so simple. no one, no one ever is lead to catholicism/heresy if they seek jesus.
a lot of other churches may be wrong also ....
that doesn't excuse any heretic from being a heretic, just because someone else is wrong too.

so on matter what someone is born in or into, no matter where someone lives, seek jesus, not man.

seeking yahweh's face, seek the creator, seek what is true, and his promise is you will find him. that's how you can know, that's how all ekklesia(born again ones) know, that he will never, never, never lead you to rcc catholic heresy. also he will never lead you to buddhism, or jw.s, or mormns.
not to anything false. period.

if someone loves god, and are called according to his purpose, they are set free from all of those deadly religions. their soul receives life though jesus, not through a religion.

and jesus will lead them to truth. he never is unfaithful.

correct in the op "love not the world, nor the things of the world". anyone who loves the rcc, or anything of the rcc, cannot be a friend of god. same with any religion instead of jesus.
same with a new car, stereo, tats, music, guns, money, stocks and bonds, rentals/ houses to flip,
anything of the world - not just things you're willing to not have anyway. everything.

Somewhere between the secluded monk and the love-the-world saint.
It has been argued the first can be just as worldly as the last.

I would say, that what our dear brother John mean about when he writes that "Nor the things in the world" he means the culture or the spirit of the world, and yes those stuff car's, money, stock are also things not to love, because we may say that they represent the mammon, and so love of the mammon, if one loves it.

I've been in many churches throughout my life, and not once have I heard this message. In fact - just the opposite. Why do you keep attacking Christianity as a whole?

I think that the planter metaphor shows us well how it will happen if a man loves the world.

The seed will be en up in the middle of weeds and the weeds will be choke the grow of that seed.

Why you have not hear this in you local church?

Because the church do not admit that they do wrong, and that's why you have not hear that in church.

Today's church are not motivated to fight against the apostasy because they are in the apostasy.

I don't understand why people talk about the Catholics when all believers read from a catholic bible. Interesting

you'll probably never understand unless jesus saves you.

true - you don't understand.

true - catholic doctrine is heresy and always has been. it has always been contrary to jesus and opposed to him.

true - among the people of God who trust God and not satan, they expose the catholic heresy because GOD'S WORD says to expose the works of darkness and have nothing to do with them.

true - believers read a bible.

false - it is a catholic bible. oh - there are catholic bibles, but believers know better and don't trust rcc.

true - believers are taught directly by yahweh's spirit through yahshua as the BIBLE SAYS.

false - catholics are believers.

true - catholics admit they are not taught by yahweh's spirit nor through yahshua.

true - catholics trust in man/ flesh/ demonic doctrines taught through corrupt men.

true - catholics admit they trust in man.

I don't understand why people talk about the Catholics when all believers read from a catholic bible. Interesting

yes, that's what you would be expected to say.

think about it. "love not the world" was a major part of what jesus taught the disciples. also, it was
a steady continuing lesson in
all the assemblies of believers abiding in jesus.

ergo (THEREFORE)
if you have never heard the truth (("LOVE NOT THE WORLD") in the churches you have been in,
then you have never been in a true church / body of believers abiding in jesus.
((( OR))) you haven't been listening.... that's a possibility..... either or

this is very common, btw, not just you, but most of the whole world.

That is the most ridiculous thing you could say to me.

Its only a matter of time for him.

My guess is he is on the ignore list of 90% of people here.

Thats why no one is catching the nasty, hate filled posts he drops.
A self appointed messenger of God, come to spit vile junk at other brothers and sisters in Christ, to tear them down.

Maybe hes an alright guy on a personal note......but his doctrine is not from the Bible l read.

Jeff, the day you post a Bible verse in the Bible Discussion Forum, instead of your rants, will be the day I will read your posts.
