Well all I can say is Ive never known Graham to peach that all roads led to Christ. I believe my parents were councilors one year when he was nearby.Will have to ask them if they had the same experience.
In Kitzmiller v. Dover the judge pointed out that the YEC scientists who testified had absolutely nothing pertaining to the matters at hand published in reputable peer-reviewed scientific journals. Ten years later, they still don't.
There is absolutely nothing in any reputable peer-reviewed scientific journal indicating that the earth is around 6,000 years old or that dinosaurs coexisted with humans or that there was a global flood and on and on.
Origen just raised an issue about humans having Neanderthal DNA.
What you will find in scientific journals is that Neanderthals lived on this earth far longer than 6,000 years ago, and so did humans.
How do YECs explain this away?

No,you start with a premise. Your premise is "we need millions of years for evolution to 'work'"
That IN FACT is your startiing place.

Evolution literally means change. Micro evolution is not really evolution that can cause species to come from other species.Uhm you know evolution happens everyday

Explaining using chemistry .. I could but I'm lazy, I like keeping my post short. Its just basic gene selection from parents. Dad skin color is (Bb) Mom is (Yy) and you a 're born with (By) you moves to a place with little Sun your proteins in your DNA can change so on and so on. 100 years later everybody is( yy) from your family. Lol then somebody can move to a place with a lot of sun and get there proteins back too Bb over some century's . there's some basics for ya

I never said I was an expert on evolution. But I know where to go to find people who are. And it's not YEC pseudoscientific propaganda machines like ICR, AIG, and CMI.
Most everybody knows the story here.
YECs say the earth is around 6,000 years old. The "science" they use to "prove" that is not really science, as determined by major federal court decisions and that "science" has never, to my knowledge, been published in reputable peer-reviewed scientific journals. Why? Because it's nonsense.
Then you have other Christians who believe that science does not conflict with the bible. I have mentioned several prominent ones.
I don't really care how old the earth is, exactly. I'll go with what the preponderance of credible scientific evidence indicates. And that evidence is overwhelming that the earth is somewhere in the vicinity of 4.6 billion years old. Most everybody knows where to find that information, right? Hint: A museum might be good unless it's like Ken Ham's.
Do I care if the earth is 2 billion years old? No. That is what the age of the earth was thought to be 50-75 years ago.
Now, you tell me it matters to a YEC whether the earth is around 6,000 years old or around 100,000 years old.

Kaylgrl, if you want my opinion, evolution or not, it doesn't matter.
I dare any Sola Fide believer to tell me otherwise, that this doctrine alone leads to hell. Faith alone in Christ for salvation - I'm unaware of anyone who claims evolution saves in any way, or that believing it is imperative to salvation. Plenty who say it damns (even if repenting and having faith in Christ), but never heard anyone say it saves.
This is a matter of perspective, and to be honest Kaylgrl, I think both models are awe-inspiring depending on how you look at it.
You could think of a God that brings something out of nothing - He speaks and it is there. No way any of us could ever do that. He speaks these things, they are there and day upon day adding to His creation like one adding strokes to a canvas. I can see how one would find that inspirational.
What about the idea that you are a fraction of a fraction of a speck in time? Evolution presents the idea (spiritually) that God hasn't finished creating - that even as He intervenes in our lives, and loves us, He is still molding us. And in the Big Bang model, you know what we are? We are remnants of stars, once shining very very bright and burning blazing hot that burst billions of years ago. To some people, that's a memorizing thought.
To think of how short your life is, and how old the earth is in this model, is very humbling. It's not a literal order of Genesis, but that's not the intent behind this model, as it drew its conclusions based on what we see now in the cosmos. Some tend to think that a map of creation, an instruction manual for would-be gods if you will (I jest), is not the point of Genesis. But the Creator and the creation itself is the point. To get hung up on the details, imo, is to miss the point and that is that the God who created everything has awesome power, creativity, and love. Creativity, the ability to bend and look at things in different ways. And you contradict that understanding in condemning others for such a belief, and it's not even related to one's salvation or not.
CS Lewis has some interesting things to say about this theory, as he appears to have leaned more towards it than YEC - yes, even after his conversion.
Taking DNA, and slowly morphing it, adapting to the environment generation upon generation. No way any of us could ever do that, either. You can say it's a man-made belief, it is is certainly not a model man himself can duplicate.
So the truth is a waste of time to you? All you keep saying is it is in scientific journals, therefore it is true.....Seriously, if you can't explain how they know the earth is billions of years old, why do you believe it?
You know the truth, that is why you refuse to answer how we know the earth is billions of years old....This science is not credible and you know for a fact that they use circular reasoning.
